I cannot say enough good things about Katana K9. Five stars doesn't do them justice. Jessica is one of the kindest, most caring people I have met. She is flexible and as long as you communicate with her she goes above and beyond to help her clients schedule sessions. She has always been understanding of situations that come up and rarely have they canceled training on me and I have been with them for 6 years now, if they do it is ALWAYS for a good reason. She also has been fantastic when scheduling for boarding my dogs when I am out of town. I literally never have to worry about them even when one of my dogs was recovering from surgery and I had to go out of town unexpectedly, they took amazing care of him. Juan is a top notch trainer, the best of the best. He shows this with his ability to teach people how to understand their dogs better and his patience in sessions is unwavering. He understands not everyone has the same skills and if you are diligent enough and work with him you WILL become a great handler. He takes more time than necessary to go over concepts so you understand why you are doing things and not just tell you to do them. Even to this day I enjoy sitting in on new client evaluations or sessions to hear the same things I heard years ago because it's always nice to have a refresher. He believes in sharing information which not many trainers do. I have become a better partner to my dog by finding this company. Years ago I came to them with the notion of just doing some protection work and I have turned into a national competitor in French Ring with dogs who weren't right for the sport. This business is worth every penny, who knows sometimes you will find a passion in your life that you never knew you had just by being around Juan and Jessica. I look forward to being with you guys for many more years to come.

We did the 3 week program for our puppy and was only 6 months at the time. My spouse found the place on yelp. We met with Jessica in person before making a decision. After leaving our American pit bull with her. We felt need to reach out for updates and videos of our dog. She mention how our dog was a bit more timid and shy. We felt that if she was struggling with our dog. She was not able to perform and train our dog the way she is used to she should had brought that up to our attention in the begging. Instead our dog was beat and returned to us with a missing toe nail and injuries all around her body. This absolutely broke my heart and made me very disappointed on Jessica and her work ethic and environment. I cannot believe the day we pick up our dog she had the audacity to ask that she wasn't sure if our dog lost her name at our home before we drop her off. The wounds where fresh so clearly it happen under Jessica supervision. She was held responsible but instead she had every excuse and didn't take responsibility at all. I regret every moment of stepping foot in her toxic establishment.

Apparently their business is in 3 different countries so you'll still be able to continue the training if you move someplace else. Stephanie is a wonderful trainer with Bark Buster. During our initial meeting, she explained my dogs' behaviors clearly and how I could address them better so they understand. I wasn't expecting such fast results, but my walk with them the next morning was unbelievable. For context, I have a 3 y/o M Doberman/Husky (neutered) with attention seeking & hyperactive issues. He's aggressive with other dogs & people on walks, and pulls hard on the leash. My other dog is a 2 y/o M Malitpoo (neutered) who barks at everything inside & outside the house. For the first time ever, using the tools & tips from Stephanie, my D/H was looking at me & walking by my side the entire time. We came up on 3 individuals with big dogs on separate occasions , but my dogs actually listened to me to sit and they just stared at me as the dogs passed them. although they saw the other dogs, they remained calm (no tensed bodies & pointy hair) and didn't bark. My D/H is still learning, but from that walk I knew I chose the right trainer for my dog. Can't wait to see how much more my dogs improve so they can truly enjoy their life to the fullest.

I mean it - we saw a tiny change after the first day alone, then after a full week of consistent training, he was less reactive on the leash, less barky, and just seemed generally more relaxed/less afraid. Our older dog has even shaped up, too! Steph has made our lives so much easier, and we're all calmer for it!! 10/10

I really wanted to get him trained so that he stopped pulling on the leash because I'm pregnant and I've had enough of him almost pulling me over when he gets excited or decides he wants to veer in a direction other than where I'm heading. I called multiple dog trainers who also said Leroy would need a training program for 12 weeks or an intensive doggy boot camp for 10 day or more. Prices ranged between $1,200 - 3,000. I called Duane who said he can help me in one private session. I was surprised, excited, and a little skeptical. He got me in right away which was also fantastic. We show up for our training and Duane met us outside and gave us a lesson in doggy obedience. He then proceeded to give Leroy the beat down of his life. A necessary one, he needed to learn how to listen. Huskies are notorious babies and extravagant drama queens. Poor Leroy, he howled and cried like the memes you see online. I felt bad for the neighbors. It was painful to watch but I definitely felt that Duane knew what he was doing and he wasn't hurting him. It was an intense hour. Was it worth it? Yes! I finally got the husky that no longer pulls on the leash. It's been the best thing ever and I'm so glad we did it. Thank you so much!

When I get lucky...I get LUCKY! I found this amazing group…read moreof people off of Yelp, and the 5 Star rating is 100% deserved. I have two pups: Archie and Charlie. I want the best for my puppies, so I asked so many different people where and how they trained their dogs. I received a few suggestions, but decided to do my own search...and I'm glad I did. Leo (Owner) and his amazing team of trainers TRULY care about the pups they train. Leo came to my home and wanted to meet me and my pups before I had to decide on making any decisions. After sitting down with him for about half an hour, I knew I found what I was looking for: Someone who wants me to have healthy and happy dogs. I signed up for the in-home training at first which is Leo coming to the house and training me on how to train my puppies (Archie and Charlie just turned 6 months and started with Leo and his team when they were 4.5). Very quickly, I realized I could not handle training both these puppies the way they needed to be trained. I discussed with Leo and decided to do a Board & Train. I like the schedule because I get to take the puppies on the weekends to spend time with me. Don't get me wrong, you NEED to train your pups on the weekends, but it's worth it and FUN. Archie has become the Puppy King (no offense to other puppies or their owners )). Charlie has a lot more energy, but has improved immensely! Leo's trainers are so caring. I feel my dogs get love with their training when they're not with me, and I couldn't ask for more. I see their excitement whenever I visit about improvements and milestones that Archie and Charlie achieved. They gleam with as much pride as I do. I honestly don't know where my pups OR I would be without the help of this AMAZING Team! If I could give 10 stars out of 5 stars, I would!

A few minutes later Leo called us and asked questions about the situation. Some basic tips he gave us over the phone saved our sanity until he came to our house a few days later for a free consultation. The consultation made it clear how experienced and passionate Leo is about dog training, so we decided to sign with him that same day. After one session we felt much more confident in training our dog and saw the "light at the end of the tunnel". Over the past 5 months and four training sessions, we have seen day and night improvement in her behavior. If you feel lost and out of control with how to train your dog or want to continue their training, Kelev K9 should be your first call. Leo is always ready to help out with any questions or concerns we have by text or phone call. Pricing is also extremely fair and was a worthwhile investment for us because we have our sanity back and have bonded so deeply with our dog through training. Thank you so much Leo, Breanna, and the whole team at Kelev K-9!

She made my transition into a first time dog owner such a positive experience and more importantly set a solid foundation for my pup to grow up to be a well behaved, happy dog. We learned basic commands (sit, stay, leave it, come, bed, down), potty training, crate and playpen training, leash training, and so much more in just a few sessions. Kat walked me through every step of the training and provided videos of Indy learning to help make me a better trainer as well. Worth every penny! It is like summer camp for dogs, with a ranch style yard, swimming & hiking. Our dogs used to shake when we dropped them off at the boarders or groomers, but here they run straight to the back & don't even look back! What I love about the ranch as opposed to other boarders is that I know the dogs are continuously socialized & stimulated. They don't sit in isolated rooms, where you have to pay extra for socializing or play time. They get a lot of exercise -- you can pay for hikes or training sessions during boarding. And like the name says: it's affordable!! So I don't worry about the cost or impact of long-term boarding on my pocket or my dog. Which really helps with our busy traveling lifestyle. After using these trainers/boarders over the years, they've become like second parents to our dogs. I know they get love, belly rubs/pets, & treats. We receive photos of the dogs and can see how truly happy they are on the ranch. I fully trust them with my fur babies! We found Affordable Dog training when rescuing an aggressive/defensive large dog; he had issues with toy possession, trust issues, hand biting & sensitive areas from previous abuse. The trainers helped us with training in our house, at the ranch, & out in real-life situations. They recommended the best tools to help, like slip leads, short leashes & shock collars for training. We really saw the dog's demeanor change over training & every time we picked him up from the ranch he was more trusting & loving. We had a second dog with somewhat opposite behavioral issues: dog aggression on leash, pulling & defensiveness of owner. They knew exactly how to help in this case too! They helped teach us how to manage the two very different behavioral issues. I cannot recommend them enough!!! 100/10 best trainers & boarders you can find in the SF Valley & surrounding area.
