We were greeted but no one came to wait on us. We got friendly with other patrons due to the long wait so I asked them if they liked what they had and they said the food was not good. They said it was made ahead and reheated to a crisp and that the couscous was burned to the plate. We eventually got up and left. They didn't seem to notice we left. Beware.

Strolling by at the foot of the Albayzin district, I was drawn into the Moroccan-style tea salon Kasbah by its magnificently decorated seating area. Beautiful embroidered cloths, stained glass lamps, and patterned cushions and tables surround diners and travelers searching for a respite from the hot sun. The menu here is diverse--plenty of drinks and dishes from several different cuisines as well, including Arab, Mediterranean, and even Indian, perhaps to cater to the diverse palates from the tourists passing by. I started with a bowl of gazpacho, a cold, thick, and nicely flavored tomato soup. I then had the Moroccan "pastela de pollo," a phyllo pie stuffed with beautifully spiced minced chicken and almonds, and dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar! We also got an order of the "menu of the day," starting with a simple mixed salad and moving on to an amazing fish tagine (a Moroccan stew). The flavors of the tagine were incredible--there was plenty of harissa, but the sauce wasn't overly spicy. Rather, it provided the perfect coating for the tender fish fillets, the soft sliced potatoes, and the medley of stewed vegetables, including carrots and peppers. To round it all out, I also got a cup of the Moroccan mint tea, which was a surprisingly refreshing warm drink! While the flavors of the dishes we had were very nice, the restaurant got rather busy, and our server repeatedly ignored our requests and forgot to bring us dessert (included with the set menu) with the bill. Despite this, however, I still thoroughly enjoyed the experience (and most of all the setting) of this magnificent teteria!

HORRIBLE WiFi, lights will go off often when raining, hummus and Te are bad. Other food or shisha is excellent. When there's no other place this is the place to go. Good thing they close 2:30 am weekends very expensive for what you get for dinner. Excellent service.

By far my favorite restaurant . Falafel and crepes were my fav but all their dishes were just as delicious.

It tasted a bit old...I think that's the best way to describe it. We had the mint tea, hummus, and lamb for lunch. It came to about 30ish euros which was a little high for how much we had been paying for lunch during our trip (typically 20ish). The mint tea was delicious and I highly recommend it. The hummus was good too! The owner was super nice and had an interesting sense of humor. I'd come back for the mint tea and the company!

You know I gotta check it out. Here is my verdict - mediocre. We ordered three dishes: Nan aka bread with humus. Bread is pre-made. The owner heated it up with a microwave. It tasted like cardboard. This is not the fresh, fluffy nan that I expected. Lamb couscous - Mushy couscous!!! Like what the hell?? The flavor is good but it's a bit too sweet. Meatball Tajine- it's okay. Nothing special. Mint tea - As good as I remember, but again a bit sweeter than I thought. Would I recommend it? If you haven't tried Moroccan food, sure, order the mint tea and give it a try. If you are looking for delicious Moroccan food, you better look somewhere else.

Had the 12,50€ dinner that included appetizer, main and Morrocan mint tea with dessert. Daughter split with me and also had a milkshake. Falafel was spot on being moist and flavorful. Second course of chicken tagine had vegetables but no couscous. Veggies were a bit over cooked but chicken was falling off the bone. Mint tea was fresh and sweet. Loved the ambiance and the music! Discovered a couple of new artists that went straight into my Spotify playlist. You get a view of the pedestrian walkway below. I ordered the house mint lemonade- which was heavenly, so surprisingly sweet and refreshing (I am now addicted). We also ordered a small platter of assorted Moroccan pastries. These were delicate and crispy, drizzled with honey and garnished with whole almonds, filled with nuts and cinnamon and spices, in such different shapes and varieties. These morsels are simple looking, but every last crumb is sweet and delicious.

We ordered (they did not, for some reason, serve meat skewers at that time, so we had to order something else more expensive). We ate our food and then asked for the check. I told him I was paying by credit card. He said no. He said their card machine was broken. I said I don't carry cash. He said then we have a problem. I said yes we obviously do. Clearly he knew his card machine was broken when we walked in the door BUT NEGLECTED TO TELL US THIS up front. Nor did he tell us at any point when we were there eating our food. How can you run a restaurant and not accept a credit card, especially in a high tourist area?! He insisted I go to a bank machine and withdraw money. Funny thing is, I normally don't carry a card that I can use in the ATM, but this day I had one. Luckily for him we are honest people and came back with the cash payment. (To add insult to injury, later when we got home we discovered that he did not even put all of our leftover food in the take-home box for us). :( We just moved to a Granada and I love Moroccan food, but I WILL NOT EVER BE BACK TO THE RESTAURANT, nor will I recommend them to anyone. They have lost a potential lifetime customer.

We started off with tea and sweets, I had the vanilla, hubby had the house special, both were delicious! My husband ordered the Lamb Tajin- it was delicious.
