Absolutely recommend Kasala as a fantastic retail experience. We have purchased a number of items both from the Seattle retail store as well as the Outlet. In all cases the experience as been great. Especially the post sales support. The delivery teams are fantastic as well as the folks working the customer will call and pick up locations. The employees seem to really enjoy their jobs which is a reflection on great management leadership. Shout out to Angelina at the Outlet location who is just a fantastic person. I thought I was going to have to update this review with a lower rating. I'm glad that I don't. When we placed the order for the sectional on July 5th, Dorian, the assistant manager, told us it was back ordered but would come in time for their next earliest delivery date -- July 19. A few days before then, I called Kasala asking for an update and they said the item had not arrived yet. They would tell us when the item arrives and give us a call to schedule a delivery date. After speaking with Dorian, he even refunded us the $100 delivery fee. On July 23, I received a call saying the sectional had arrived but they would not be able to deliver it until August 1 because they were booked up until then. At first I thought nothing of it, but then it stewed in my brain and I was pretty upset that I had to wait one month for this couch. We currently have no couch as we got rid of the one we had during our move. We have no place to just plop down and relax -- as you can tell we were really looking forward to this couch. If we were told at the time of purchase that it would take one month for it to be delivered, we would not have bought this couch. An August 1 deliver would mean it was 2 weeks late. My bf called and complained and they said they couldn't do anything about it, of course. They couldn't squeeze us in so we could get our couch sooner, but they would have Dorian call us when he's in the next day. He ended up finding an opening for Sunday, so our couch will hopefully come this weekend. I am very happy with the customer service here, and can't wait to veg out on our new chaise sectional!! read more

Total waste of time. I'm suspicious of anyone who thinks leather furniture is a good idea, and Kasala's designers clearly think it's the only type of furniture there is. Well, that and basket chairs that you might have bought at Pier 1 when you were 19. Blech. read more

My husband bought a sectional sofa through the outlet store, it's been six months or so and we still love! the sofa...it's top notch quality for the price we paid, so comfortable and smart looking. Customer service at the Kasala outlet store is always super friendly and helpful every time we stop in. We also recently bought some artwork that after we got it home realized it didn't fit in the space...we were able to return it hassle free....making us repeat shoppers! :) read more

I was scouring everywhere to find a small dining table to fit in my kitchen. I searched local stores, the internet, I even contemplated having one custom made. I'm so happy that I visited Kasala's outlet store. It was there where I found the perfect table. It's a round contemporary design with thick frosted glass top, made to go with bar stools. And it was over 50% off on close-out! To tell you the truth, I would gladly have paid retail. I also bought 4 beautiful bar stools from the main Kasala store on sale for 50% off. They go with the table perfectly. I thought the stools were overpriced at retail but they were a great deal at the sale price. I'm not into much of the furniture Kasala carries (ie. heavy leather chairs and sofas or modular furniture) but I love the stools and table I found there. Service was very helpful and friendly, so I couldn't be more pleased. read more

My co-worker and I went down to scope out the sale last weekend. We needed some urban-look chairs for our new business lobby, but didn't want to break the budget. We ended up choosing about 10 pieces, and got great prices. Dorian was very helpful in looking up various pieces to see if they were in stock or back-ordered. He also provided little spec sheets with pictures of the items that we could take back with us. Because it was their big sale weekend, there were some things we couldn't get in time, and some that they were completely out of (close-out models). We placed an order that day, then added several pieces the following week. When one chair (out of a pair) came in with a broken leg, he called and offered to replace both chairs with a set that was similar but more expensive, and of course at the price of the original chairs. Seeing several negative reviews, I had to share our experience. I don't say the negative experiences are false but I must say I'm personally very picky with choosing stores not only buy price level but for their customer service, and I must say I'm coming back every time again and again. We made several purchases and some items had to be returned as they didn't work for us and Kasala kindly accepted it even when we were past the return time window. I love their designs, the quality usually very high end. Unfortunately, I cannot afford the prices of their general stores so we buy everything at their outlet store and had never anything to say but thank you! read more

I recommend Kasala Outlet and plan to go back to them for any future furniture needs. Background: I sold all of my furniture before moving to Seattle. Once I arrived in Seattle I needed to find a couch but didn't want to spend a lot of money. I was looking for a neutral colored, comfortable, leather sectional. Since I was new to the area, I wasn't at all familiar with the local furniture stores. After checking out several big chain stores and a couple boutiques, I was referred to Kasala Outlet. Experience: Elena welcomed me into the store then gave me space to look around. I found a grey sectional I liked, but was concerned that it was faux leather instead of genuine leather. Elena explained that the peeling problem I'd heard was common with bonded leather wouldn't be an issue with faux leather. She answered all of my questions and I left the store with a print out of the sectional that had her notes about the sale price, delivery fee, and diagrams of left and right facing orientations. I called the next day to order the sectional and again had a very easy, friendly experience. The gentleman I spoke with outlined what to expect with the delivery process and sent a follow up email with my receipt. As expected, the delivery guy called me the afternoon before delivery and left a message explaining they'd be delivering the sectional sometime 8:30am-9:30am the next day. On the day of delivery I received a call at 8:15am saying they were 20 minutes away. At 8:30am they called to say they were here. The two delivery men were incredibly polite and considerate; they easily navigated the hallways to my unit, handled my couch with care, showed me how to put the pieces together before they connected them, and cleaned up all the packaging. By 9:00am I was sitting on my new couch. I interacted with at least four different people at Kasala and appreciated how friendly, helpful and knowledgeable they each were. Worst purchase ever! Bought the Maxwell sectional 1 yr ago, and it's a mess! The pieces never fully came together (had their repair team out who basically said "that's why it's on sale") and the weave has split and the cushions sagged. What a waste of money!! read more

We recently got a bed, chaise and several small leather stools here, all together for just over $1000. All of this stuff is great quality, meaning it stands out amongst the assorted IKEA which dominates our home. Great upscale furniture at very reasonable prices. They have some really nice midcentury modern style pieces here. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and they are down-to-earth. They are not all up in your grill unless you ask them for help/advice, at which point they are very happy to help out. I felt no pressure getting stuff here. The quality and style are way better than cheap places like Ikea and mid-range places like Dania. I got almost all my new furniture for my remodel from the Kasala outlet and the main store by Pike Place. Highly recommend both. read more

Bought a section couch that came wrapped in a very durable wrapping material . I called to ask if they would accept the material and if it could be recycled to which they said "sorry your problem, not ours." Nice..... As it turns out the material is NOT recyclable and I had to make special trip to the King County Transfer Station to dispose. One hour and $20 later, I have now contributed to our already overflowing landfills. (The material filled the back of my SUV. I you care about being green you should avoid Kasala. read more

Honestly, the employee at the counter was more intersted in finishing his burger than providing service. Selection is limited and honestly, you'd be better served going to the Old Cannery in Sumner. I got to the store at 5:45, 15 minutes before closing on their big-sale weekend -- and I'm sure the staff wanted to get out of there. I was looking for a specific ottoman (x2), but that style was sold out. I asked about two other pairs, and hemmed and hawed, but the salesperson was unfailingly polite and helpful. I ended up buying another pair, and the warehouse staff were just as kind and good-natured. Highly recommend this place, but if you want the deals, get there early! We bought two leather armchairs and a sectional from the outlet in SODO. The furniture is great and well worth what we paid for it. We also shelled out 99 dollars for the delivery service, and could obtain 2 deliveries for the cost. We got our chairs delivered first, since they did not have our sectional in stock (we had to wait 2 months for that). The chair delivery men came on time, were quick to assemble the pieces, and were courteous when we asked them to remove their shoes when coming into our house. I set up the time for the sectional delivery, and wanted to also see if I could buy a coffee table and add that to the delivery. I was assured this was okay to do. However, when I inquired about the different coffee tables they had in stock over the phone (I was in the store recently, and had my eye on a couple of them), the person who answered the phone said curtly, "It's not like I have a button that I press to see all the coffee tables, you know." Ok?.....that's fine. I was perfectly willing to BUY something from YOUR store....if you did not want to help me do that, I guess it's your loss?? That being said, the delivery people were fine and came on time for our sectional. Additionally, the service we received when actually in their store, and not over the phone, was friendly. read more

My brother and I purchased a piece from Kasala - we obviously are fans of the furniture itself and found everything reasonably priced and of great style and quality. What I wanted to highlight specifically in my review is the outstanding level of customer service we received. First of all, nobody was pushy with us when we first came into the shop - they were available to answer questions, and provided print outs with pictures and pricing info for the couches we liked, and we went on our way to keep checking out other shops, as most people do. When we finally settled on a beautiful sectional from the Kasala Outlet, we called and purchased the piece and were notified that it would be available for delivery in about 2 weeks, which was perfectly fine. About 2 days before the couch was being delivered, the staff called to tell us that the couch had just been market down and that they were refunded my credit card the difference between what i paid and the sale price. I just found that to be incredibly thoughtful and I probably would not have expected them to do that, but honestly, they've made a life-time customer out of us. We love our new couch, and the team that sold it to us! read more

I blew my wad at Kasala and oh it felt so good. After browsing all three locations my wife and I committed to 6 living room pieces for $4500. 4 of the 6 were purchased at the Outlet store at significant markdowns (30-80% off initial retail). The other two we ordered out of the Bellevue and downtown Seattle locations after Karen patiently worked with us for a couple hours. We walked in with a hand-sketched floor plan and she walked us thru our options, helping us identify focal points in the room and our true usage purposes. Ended up with a sectional leather couch with chaise end, spinning club lounge chair, permanently reclined reading chair, a separate chaise with matching side table (half-cushioned, half-wood drink and snack top). Obviously I don't know a whole lot about furniture based on my make-em-up-as-you-go descriptions of the above items, but what I do know is that we browsed about 6 other furniture stores and the quality/price ratio here reigned supreme. Also the level of customer service is outstanding. If you spend over $2500 delivery is free, and they will pick up any returns within 30 days free of charge as well. It was fun shopping all 3 locations and adding on items one by one with different sales associates and then consolidating the free delivery into one. Style is modern and tends towards lounge. Lots of leather, wood, and glass, and definitely Scandinavian influence, but not Scandia or Ikea. They have a nice catalog, and rotate pieces quite often. If you stop in the Outlet store every so often, I imagine you will come across some great pieces and deals. For us this was a huge purchase but anticipate years of pleasure ahead. read more

I really love the Kasala outlet! We recently just moved to Seattle from SF and moved into a high rise apartment. So far we have bought a lamp, rug, 6 white leather dining chairs, and a leather framed mirror from this store. We are very happy with our purchases and I am surprised with Kasala's reasonable prices! We bought each leather chair for about $125 each and they are absolutely beautiful! The contemporary furniture fits beautiful into our apartment. I LOVE this place. I had been wanting to check it out for some time but just hadn't gotten around to it until now. I was in need of a nice coffe table for my living room and found exactly what I wanted almost as soon as I walked in the door. I'm sure this place can be hit or miss, as most outlets are, but they seemed to have a pretty wide range of stuff. I really didn't expect to find anything on my first trip as I have a very specific design plan. But bam! There it was! And it was 60% off of the retail price. I also saw several chairs that I fell in love with and when I'm at that point I will definitely be heading there first. The staff was also SUPER friendly and helpful... The guy I spoke with told me about their current sale and about another one that was less than a week away in case I wanted to wait to get the sale price. Even the warehouse guys were helpful and told me some tricks to touching up the dark colored wood if it ever got dinged up. All in all a great buying experience, I will definitely be back.. Just do your research about "bonded leather" before shopping at the outlet. My husband and I bought a couch thinking that it was real leather. The term "bonded leather" did not raise any flags for us, and the staff at the Kasala outlet said nothing to indicate that it wasn't real leather. Being that we had never seriously bought any new furniture before, we just didn't know that much about the quality of the material. It is advertised as leather, and it seems nice. We just gave them the benefit of the doubt. "Bonded leather" is NOT real leather. It's synthetic (there is a trace amount of cow scraps but none of it is the surface you touch or see). Luckily, on a whim my husband googled bonded leather before it came home with us, and the staff at the Kasala outlet were very nice about refunding our money. We were told that everything in the outlet is bonded leather. The parent store has leather. If faux leather is what you want, then there is no problem. After some research, it seemed like the verdict is still out on how bonded leather will keep up over time; it's a fairly new material, and we didn't want to risk it. For what it's worth we did end up at the main Kasala store for a real leather couch and we are happy with it. read more

We recently bought a sofa from the Kasala Outlet. This was by far the smoothest furniture transaction ever! Dorian was very helpful when we were looking in the store. I called back the next day and placed the order. Dorian was very polite and thorough. Delivery was quick (within a few days) and on time. On top of it all, the sofa is great quality and very comfy. We went back to the store a few weeks later and mentioned to Dorian that we loved our new purchase. He told us the sofa had recently been marked down and there was a 30 day price match! I recently purchase an audio cabinet unit for a good price. However, the unit was very dusty and dirty inside and I asked that it be cleaned before I picked it up and the salesperson said yes. However when I got home I found it was not cleaned at all. The salesperson also said the unit would be wrapped in protective plastic when I came back in the afternoon to pick it up. I went to the pick up area and the warehouse person came out with the unit on a dolly unprotected. In short, I was disappointed with the service for not cleaning the unit and not communicating with the warehouse/pick up person. I guess this is why it is an Outlet. read more

My wife and I stopped in Kasala Outlet looking for a sofa and chair for our living room. We found something we liked, but decided to shop around. Two hours later, we were back at Kasala Outlet and ready to buy. Steve, who had helped us in the morning, cut his break off early to help us check out, set up delivery, and got us on our way. Four weeks later, a week before our delivery, we discovered that our existing furniture didn't fit in our new house and that we needed another new couch. This time Dorian helped us. He found a couch for us (a sectional that would get into our house), and helped us pick out an area run that would match the sofa we had ordered four weeks earlier. We asked about a coffee table for that sofa/rug combination and after he couldn't find a good fit in their store, he recommended other places we might find something that would work - he never tried to push us into something they had in-store, and helped us to think about what really fit our needs. Then it gets really good. Dorian put our new rug and couch on the same delivery as our sofa, so that we could get all of it a week later. Then he told us that with the higher spend we qualified for free delivery and refunded the delivery fee we had paid for the sofa on our last visit. He also told us a sale was coming up and offered to call us back once he knew what the sale would be to refund us the difference. That's right - two weeks after we bought a couch and an area rug, one week after it was delivered and already in our house, Dorian called me and let me know he needed my credit card number to give us $400 back because our couch and rug went on sale. Incredible. The store has a great selection, good prices and customer service that is absolutely unparalleled, at least in my experience. If you are looking for furniture and don't stop here, you are making a mistake. read more
