I think this place is great! Full of nice people you can trust to give you the truth and not just sell you stuff you don't need.

My daughter's 2008 Audi A3 would not start due to an ignition switch issue in the steering column because the key would not turn. Once we got the car to start, it would not turn off. I started looking on Google for nearby repair shops that work on foreign cars. I called and explained the situation to Keith. He was familiar with the problem and said it was a common issue in the older cars. Keith knew we were in a predicament and offered to help us right away even though we didn't have an appointment. Keith was able to turn off the car and diagnose the issue. He provided us with a couple repair options (new or used parts) with his recommendation and estimate. We went with new parts and the car was ready the next day. Keith even offered to come pick my daughter up with the car and bring her back to the shop. After leaving she noticed the air bag light was on and went back to shop. Without hesitation, Keith took the car back and resolved the issue next day. I was really impressed when Keith called a few days later to check on the car and said to let him know if there are any more issues related to the repair and that he would stand by his work. Needless to say, I am very impressed by Keith and his customer service / communications and will call on him again for future repairs. Thank you very much !!! Jim Response from the owner 11 minutes ago Jim I want to personally thank you for the review. I also want to thank you for trusting us to repair tha Audi. We welcome you and your family to the ATR family. Keith

They didn't pressure me into fixing my cars issues like some repair places do. A true relief. They rather take an amazing approach in my opinion- pricing out what needs to be fixed (prioritizing safety issues) then what you should fix soon and then down the road. Great customer service!

Used to be a Good Service Shop... Now is a $$ shop. Sorry folks but the reason oil drain plugs get…read more"worn out" or "stripped" is two things 1) overtightening from a tech in a hurry or doesn't care 2) cross threading the plug. If properly trained technicians use appropriate tools and sense the drain plug will be fine for life of car. Also, not too long back I was told the front control arm bushings needed to be replaced. This is accurate and a good thing to do. But, I was then told they would need to replace the whole front control arm assembly to do this, and the cost around 900 dollars. Again $$ not service. Front bushings can be replaced easily and cost is around 20 dollars each side. Considering 1 hour labor and costs should be approxiamately 100 dollars total. Would have been willing to pay for that honest service... No need to change out the full front control arms. So... this WAS one of the last strongholds to get honest service. New management with new plans...unfortunate. I am sad to see them go down the drain as with so many other places seeking $$'s rather than to provide honest service. People will pay for service if you don't try to pull the wool over their eyes. Especially when you are trying to do this with someone that knows as much as you do about cars. Heck I LOVE supporting my local business people, and am one myself. Very unfortunate. I usually give a few more times to see if maybe just a bad day for the shop... tried this... But this is seeming to be a norm for this shop now too... Off to shopping again for a trustworthy shop. Good luck folks. I will add that after having to make a phone call and discussion... no agreement. Apparently oil drain plugs wear out between 50 to 100 thousand miles....I disagree...as do many of my other fellow full time mechanics... they DID NOT charge my son for the drain plug. Still the bad news is I will probably now have to change the oil pan in my garage at home.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but this experience with Jiffy Lube has been beyond frustrating…read moreand honestly unacceptable. After servicing our vehicle, they either failed to properly install the O-ring correctly or overtightened it when putting it back on. On top of that, they did not replace the washer on the oil pan bolt, which was completely broken afterward. Because of these mistakes, our car leaked EVERY drop of oil, causing serious engine damage. We were stranded in Orlando for 10 DAYS without a vehicle while trying to figure out what happened and how to get home. It completely disrupted our plans, created an enormous amount of stress for our family, and left us dealing with a situation that never should have happened from a routine oil change. What makes this even worse is that we have now spent TWO WEEKS being dragged along trying to get reimbursed and refunded. Every time we contact them, we get another excuse, another delay, or another promise that someone will "follow up." No urgency, no accountability, and no real resolution. Being stranded away from home without transportation was hard enough, but the way this has been handled afterward has made the entire experience even more disappointing. Customer service has been extremely poor, communication has been inconsistent, and it feels like we're being ignored instead of helped. A situation this serious should have been handled immediately and professionally. Instead, it has turned into weeks of stress, inconvenience, and wasted time. I would strongly encourage others to think carefully before trusting them with their vehicle.

Arlyn recommended tires that were much better than the tires when I purchased for the car new. Monday morning (yesterday), I was at the Sun City, Prairie Lodge. Upon leaving, an elderly man was attempting to turn into my area. I pulled forward to give him more room and accidentally ran over the curb. FLAT TIRE. Auto Tech had Premium Tires with the lowest prices in Huntley. I called my roadside service. One hour and 32 minutes later, Lightning Road Service showed up. Put my spare on and off to Auto Tech in Huntley. In my time sitting there, I called Arlyn at Auto Tech, they didn't make my tires any longer but he would find some tires comparable. Arlyn looked at all my tires. The left front was a goner, the right front had a gash in it, and the right rear, I have been having problems with it. Needed 4 new tires. I just got coupons last week for Auto Tech, which Arlyn applied. Also got an oil change that was needed and had the tires balanced. And a front wheel alignment. Auto Tech, Arlyn, and his employees are honest and trustworthy. Hey neighbors, I…read morewanted to share a recent experience with a Huntley business so others can make an informed choice. My husband's car was having trouble starting, so we took it to Coyote Auto Repair on Allison Ct. We've used them several times over the years, so this wasn't a random pick. Today, we were told the total was nearly $400 for a new battery. My husband doesn't recall authorizing that work when they called earlier to say the battery was bad. When I called to ask for a cost breakdown and to understand how the miscommunication happened, the person I spoke with became argumentative and rude. After accusing me of calling him a liar, he told me to come get the car and said we'd now have to pay in cash, claiming he didn't want to risk a chargeback or canceled check. I hadn't done or said anything to justify either accusation. I won't get into every detail of that phone call, but my main concern is this: as customers, we should feel comfortable asking questions, clearly understanding what we're authorizing, and trusting that the conversation will remain respectful. Unfortunately, this experience was none of those things. I hope this helps others make an informed decision if you're looking for a local mechanic.
