Wow. I cannot believe what I have just experienced. I drove an hour from west palm beach to see a car that was listed on Facebook marketplace for $8,500. I came for a test drive after speaking to Andrea. After looking at the vehicle (which was in pretty bad shape but even in good condition only worth $11,500 per KBB) I was told that the out the door price was $16,000. Needless to say, we never even test drove it at that point. I am blown away by such a horrible business practice and bait and switch tactics. I really wanted to give this dealership the benefit of the doubt and the chance to redeem themselves prior to writing a negative review, but unfortunately they did not want to compromise. We purchased a 2015 pickup truck for our business, which we saw on offer up from this place. Before committing we asked every possible question; starting with is the price listed the TOTAL cash price for the car and were told it was. We arrived the next day with a check for the amount we were quoted and the shadiness began. We were told that was a 3rd party BDC department they hire to answer questions on their listing and the price was actually $7,000 more expensive. This was after we signed the papers. They refused to negotiate with us, even though the car has visible bumps and bruises. But we didnt think much of it, since it was a car that would be used for construction. Then, not even 2 days after having the truck it broke down on the highway. Took it to the mechanic and a few days later broken down again. Once that was fixed, the A/C went out and we had to get it fixed multiple times before having to replace the compressor and surrounding units altogether. My husband would address all these issues via text with their version of a Finance Manager by the name of Ignacio and they would ignore messages and after multiple contact just brush us off. It was not an expense of a few hundred dollars, it was thousands that have been spent on mechanics. Now they don't want to respond regarding coming to a compromise on all the repairs that we have had to pay for, but they don't fail to hound us about a $300 fee for the tag transfer. We requested the least they could do was take care of that fee for us considering all the problems and expenses we have had as a result of this purchase. The woman that does the tags and other forms, Desi, refused and threatened if we were not going to pay and pick-up the registration that they would put a stop on the tag and notify the DMV so they may proceed with a driver's license suspension. This gave us no choice but to go and pay. These people have no regard for their customers time or money. They only care about themselves and will laugh at you the minute you drive off the lot. I will be filing a formal complaint/case against them with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and will go as far as contacting the news channels if I must to have them assume responsibility for this scam. read more

I found a vehicle that fit my needs on Craigslist at Kars2go in Davie, FL, which is way out of the way for me, but I did reach out to the dealer to ask about the vehicle I found. I looked over his Craigslist ads and, as you can see from the photos, the same truck appeared several times, with a recent price reduction. I didn't visit their actual website until I returned home, because why would I...?! I copied this from my social media page but I was unable to attach the photos here. Anyway, I decided to take the drive of over 100 miles to have a look and test drive. A very young sales associate who spoke very minimal English approached me and after showing him the text history, he wound up getting the keys and a tag and opened the car. While I was waiting for him to get the keys, I gave the vehicle a good look, and while there were a few minor issues here and there with the body and trim, there was no rust and the tires were brand new, and I reasoned that if it drove okay, I could work out the little details over time. When he opened the door, I almost gagged as it smelled like there had been ten wet dogs in the vehicle recently and there was mud on the interior door runners, (clearly, for all the time the car has been with them, they haven't bothered having it detailed). Again, I knew this was a used car, so I ignored that and took it for a drive. That is the only part of this visit that went well, because this smelly, dirty truck was solid and tight mechanically and handled very well. If things hadn't gone south after we returned, as I'll explain below, I was willing to do the negotiations and purchase it. However, as I stated above, things did go south in a hurry as soon as we walked in to the "showroom". Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures if you visit their website, the dingy showroom is cramped and as dirty as the truck I was looking at. In short, it's a dump. But I digress. So, Mr. Minimal English, (real name is Orlando) never bothered to ask me if I liked the truck, only if I wanted to speak to the manager. So, I figured sure, maybe the manager speaks at least some English. Well, the "showroom" door had barely closed behind us and Orlando tries to give me a credit application. I told him I didn't even know if I wanted to buy the truck yet, but if I did, I would be financing the vehicle at my credit union, and they apparently don't care for that at all. So, Orlando brings me into the sales manager's office and I explained that I was preparing to return my leased car to the dealership and take the little equity I am getting and roll that into my purchase. I figured that I'd cut to the chase and I asked him what we could do with the price to which he abruptly responded, it "isn't negotiable", to which I responded, "why, you've already dropped the price on Craigslist". Then he got very nasty and said they never did and the price was actually in the $13K range. I was stunned because he clearly has it listed for $9,999 on Craigslist. BTW, after leaving, I sent the following text to the person I'd been texting previously. "Good evening, I'm not sure exactly who is on the other end of this message, however I have to say that I am extremely disappointed in my experience at your dealership. I drove over 100 miles from where I live to see this truck and the man who spoke to me denied that the price of the vehicle had already been lowered once on Craigslist. And then he told me that not only was the price not negotiable, it was a lot more than what was advertised. This is exactly the sort of thing that makes me and most people dread buying a vehicle. I walked in the door ready, willing, and able to buy that vehicle and was met with rudeness and a bad attitude. Suffice it to say I will never darken your doorstep again, nor will any of my friends and associates." The mostly unintelligible, misspelled, and unpunctuated response was, and I quote, "you will sale your car more than you buy it and you want to paid pennies for another car the inflation is something real for everybody nobody escape Stop writing me" My final response to him, (apparently it was the rude guy in the office) was this. "Trust me, I'm not going to write to you anymore after I hit the send button on this. You blatantly lied in your ad, so don't put it on me with your excuses." This dealerships strikes a record of a new low for criminal practices. On arrival they provided a credit application after we agreed on price and maturity date of the loan. Vehicle required repairs so no finalized electronic documents were signed or official buyers order issued, which I assumed would be completed after vehicle repairs. They didn't answer calls for the repairs the following business day but yet proceeded to forge my signature and submit to the finance company for a falsified sale and completed an entire forged electronic document $10,000 over the agreed price with completely different terms without me even being present at the dealership (finance company emailed a copy of this). I noticed theft and fraud is a common practice from the reviews, but submitting complaints to law enforcement individually will not get us justice. We need to combine forces and collectively seek justice. They have no intention as of todays date to correct the injustice done to me so I assume it will be the same with your cases. It was so unreal, that at first I thought it was a simple error on the part of the finance company until I saw my name beside an e-signed document on a date when I was not even present at the dealership.
