At the time they also wanted to do my furnace I told them no which my furnace was still good for another couple years and then they came back changed a part on it saving me a little money but the. She informed me that the service call would be $89.00 and that they would text me an estimate. I received the estimate via text stating that, as previously discussed, a $89.00 service call charge and an additional charge of $700 to $800 to "Repair the unit" (Remember, I asked only for the unit to be charged). I was shocked to say the least, talking about a hyperinflated estimate. It was quite obvious that all they intended to do was fleece me for $700 to $800. At this point I was totally disgusted with the estimate. My daughter showed me an add on the Next-door Ap, I called the number and explained what I needed to the technician. Within 1 hour the technician was at my home, checked the unit and stated it needed to be charged due to low freon. He charged the unit, and it worked great. TOTAL COST Service call and 1.75# of freon, $125 plus I gave him a $25 tip for his prompt service. DO NOT TRUST DAVIDSONS TO DO A JOB FOR YOU, FOR SOME EXUBERANT PRICES GET OTHER ESTIMATES. DO NOT LET THEM TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU. If it was possible I would give them a MINUS 5 rating, what a disappointment .
