We went to their demo from the Kent Nerd Block party and we've been hooked every since! The best part about this escape room spot is that they are dressed and act in character which I think one of the coolest things as not a lot of escape rooms do this. The inside of the location is absolutely gorgeous and truly whisks you away into a medieval fantasy world. I learned that all the escape rooms are story driven and there is an order of how you should do the escape rooms, which also very unique and gives you more reason to try them all! The bathrooms here were also themed with dragons, fun pictures, and knights while looking pristine. Our gamemaster (GM), Ben was an absolute delight. He was making fantastic jokes that we all enjoyed, caught our references, and enjoyed some of the wild things we have said while trying to figure out the puzzles. We definitely agreed that he added to the fun. And it turns out you can request for a specific GM if you want to, which again is very cool! We got to do a quick sneak previews of the room and we were offered a 15% discount if we wanted to do another escape room after, which is super awesome as we would have been down if we didn't have work early in the morning. But I do think that is such a fun and fair idea to get people to do another escape room but at a discount. We loved how detailed each of the different escape rooms were, you can tell a lot of love and attention went into make these rooms. I know my friends talked about how they enjoyed that the puzzles here didn't solely rely on lock combinations, which can just tiresome at times. The puzzles here get really creative! We did their Dungeon of Doom as it is the recommended one to start with first and we were able to beat it with a few minutes to spare! This was my friends' first time completing through an escape room and it was just so great to see how happy and accomplished they looked after completing it. Ben got a photo of us at the end and he took an extra photo for my friend's photo and they came out great! We look forward to tackling more of their other escape rooms and I know more friends who would really enjoy this experience as well. I also know their other locations have different escape rooms with their own lore too, so definitely check them out!

So glad we took the time to head down to Tacoma to complete these rooms!…read more We have done over 50 rooms at this point - just my wife and I completed all four in a weeks' time - here are our thoughts The Cure The first of the rooms here. Not linear at all, lots to do and look at. The final puzzle was one I was very familiar with so I knew what I was looking for and how to solve - had that not been the case we would not have escaped as we did it with a mere 54 seconds remaining. I think this room could use 3-4 people, especially if they are newer to escape rooms. Enjoyed the immersion, some of the puzzles weren't our favorite as they weren't real clear on what to do, but the room is solid. The Sorcerer's Rescue Another big room with lots of things to do. Definitely recommend four people even if seasoned...there's just a lot to do here, we needed two extra minutes. The hardest of the rooms offered currently. Immersion is great, if wizards and potions and pixies are your thing you'll love this room. The Estate They said Condemned was the easiest, I felt it was The Estate, but I also guess that depends on your strengths. The estate was a pretty straightforward escape room, very linear but in a way that two people can work together rather one sitting while other doing all the work. These are the rooms we work best on and really enjoyed working through this room quickly. Escaped with about 27 minutes left. The Condemned This is my favorite room. Like of all the rooms we have done, and we have done two top award winning rooms in Seattle and LA. I wish I could forget about it and do it again. I have recommended it to no less than a dozen people since doing it. Creepy, spooky, make me scream rooms are right up my alley. So much fun. We have done a lot of scary rooms and this had the *right* amount of terror so you could still focus. Escaped with a little over 18 min left and had so much fun doing so. All in all we had a blast. There is something for everyone here. Linear and non-linear. Scary and mild. Fantasy and reality. Also, I forgot to mention, the staff get into character with you to really set the scene. With everywhere opening escape rooms that is a little touch that is being missed. It really sets the scene and gets the room started right. Nothing is in order leading to where the next challenge or the escape is, they simply let us in the next room after we looked at everything. Guide was bored and looked at their phone the whole time, while slumped in a chair. My daughter and I studied up on H.H. Holmes for this experience; but don't bother unless you want to remember a LOT of random dates and numbers that don't really mean anything. I mean, I could see one or two dates, for combination locks as an example, but not for every single clue, and nothing actually connects to anything else. Don't waste your time or money.

I attend 30-40 haunt each year, and did 10 in the Northwest this year and this was one of the best. There was also an escape room near by if you need thrills. Timed entry helped to reduce wait times. WILD WAVES CLOSES FOREVER ON 11/1/2026!!!…read more This is the parks 50th season as well as their last season ever as they are closing to make way for a warehouse............. The park is what it is and what that is a positive experience for the community it's a place generations have gathered to enjoy a beautiful day outside riding roller coasters and sliding on water slides it's a fun place to spend a day or the season it's a place that will be missed by all those who have passed through its gates! I've been here a few times over the years and every time has been a fun one I don't even live in this state and I've came here over the years because they have some fun roller coasters and slides like with that how can you go wrong! With that said I hope the community comes together to try to save the park because it truly is a Washington landmark! Overall I've had nothing but good times here and I hope to have one more before the end of the season!

Was once great, but it appears they aren't keeping up with the park since it's closing soon…read more Just recently went one last time before it closes for some childhood nostalgia and was pretty disappointed. There are very limited hours, the coasters don't open until an hour after the park opens (??), and when they are open, the lines are horrendous. I'm not sure if they ever had 2 trains going on the rides but we stood in line for an hour to get on the Timber hawk... that is Disneyland level wait times for a quarter of the amount of people. It was expensive! The tickets are $70 for a day, which is about 7 hours, but the coasters are only open from 12-5:30. I will say the chicken basket had a lot of chicken but it was also $25. The waters were nearly $7, and alcoholic beverages were almost $20 a drink. The elephant ear was $18. There was trash around all the rides that looked like it had been there for more than one day, and no one enforcing any rules. Fences were broken and leaning, rides were shutdown. I understand that they are closing this year but it's a shame that they are going out and seemingly just giving up on the last season. Would've been a great opportunity to make some great memories for Washington residents and leave on a high note.

Luckily there was no rain when we went and the spooky costumed actors were keeping everyone entertained while waiting. There was so many different themes and a lot of effort put into it. I enjoyed my visit there and all the spooky costumed actors/actresses are great! Before you enter the haunted woods there's many other things to do as well or you can enjoy it afterwards.

After years of…read morecoming here with my family--and now getting the opportunity to see it from behind the scenes--I have an even greater appreciation for what they've built. Maris Farms Throughout the Year Maris Farms creates some wonderful experiences for families throughout the year. Their spring events, including Springtime Babies and all the baby animals, are fantastic for kids. But obviously, the highlight is the Fall Festival. There is so much to do: games, apple blasters, obstacle courses, slides, animals, and activities throughout the farm. There truly is something for every age group, and you can easily spend hours here. And the food is legitimately good--not just "good for an event." The burgers are great, the lemonade is fantastic, and the street corn is easily one of my favorites every year. Then the sun goes down, and Maris Farms becomes an entirely different experience. The Haunted Woods I've gone through the Haunted Woods with my daughter for five years, and it has become one of our favorite traditions. I've experienced plenty of haunted attractions, and I genuinely believe Maris Farms has one of the best haunts in the greater Puget Sound area. The sets, lighting, fog, animatronics, sound, and especially the way the entire haunt flows are incredibly well done. Every year they change things just enough that there's always something new waiting for you. But what really makes this haunt special are the actors. These people absolutely love what they do. From the first guests coming through around 8:00 until the final groups well after 10:30, they are ALL IN. They're performing, interacting, reading people's reactions, staying in character, and finding creative ways to scare you. Whether you're the first group through or the last, they want you to have an incredible experience. You can tell this isn't simply an attraction to the people running it. Haunting is a passion for them, and they're exceptionally good at their craft. Behind the Scenes This year, for the first time, I joined the Haunted Woods team in a security/safety role, which gave me an opportunity to see everything from the other side. It honestly affirmed everything I already believed about this place. The actors are every bit as energetic and passionate behind the scenes, and there are some genuinely great people working here. But I especially want to recognize the unsung heroes who build, maintain, and operate the sets. These guys are incredible. They're there long before guests arrive--building, repairing, adjusting corn and set pieces, testing lights, fog machines and animatronics, and making sure hundreds of little details are working correctly. When something breaks during the haunt, they're there fixing it. And after the last guests leave, when everyone is exhausted and ready to go home, they're still there. They walk the entire haunt again, checking everything and making sure it's ready to do all over again. Most guests will never see that work or know the names of the people doing it, but they deserve a tremendous amount of credit. Five Stars--From Both Sides of the Haunt After five years experiencing the Haunted Woods as a customer with my daughter, I already loved this place. Getting to see the actors, builders, designers, technicians, safety staff, and everyone else behind it has given me an entirely new appreciation for just how much work goes into creating this experience. Whether you're bringing the kids during the day for the Fall Festival, grabbing some street corn and lemonade, launching apples and hitting the slides, or coming after dark because you want somebody hiding in a cornfield to scare the living daylights out of you, Maris Farms is absolutely worth experiencing. To everyone behind the scenes who makes this place what it is: you guys do an incredible job. Five stars, without hesitation. My daughter and I will absolutely keep coming back.

There are plenty of benches too for older family members who might need a rest. Plenty of photo spots for teens or family photos. We brought our 11 month old for photos with the sunflowers and while our baby hates the heat and didn't want to cooperate for the photos, we are sure she will absolutely love this place as she grows up as there are so many activities for many age ranges. The most interesting section for our baby was the animal area as she hasn't seen any of those animals in person. We also played a few ball throwing games between my husband and I and picked sunflowers that lasted more than a week after our visit. I definitely plan to make this spot a family tradition for years to come!
