Review is for a delivery order & the Tikka chicken masala is bueno! I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the papadam. I can literally order 10 of these and snack on them all night. The staff is quite friendly as I called to make sure the driver don't forget the papadam. The only thing that we didn't like was the masala egg rolls. It was super mushy and tasted like it was previously frozen and the wrapper was thick.

Vegetables being prepped in the dining area.

Who is giving these people all these stars and good reviews. Worst Indian food in the OC by far. I'll get to the food later but let's start with when we arrived. We were coming from an event at a temple and were very very hungry. Upon reaching the restaurant we saw that there was a private event going on inside. It was extremely loud so we asked if we could find a quieter spot. The server showed us to a table outside towards the back of the restaurant. There was no setup on tables. Just some tables hurriedly put together. This space was right next to the trash area and the kitchen. People kept running back and forth to take care of the private party so it was not a good experience at all. Service was non existent. 3-4 different people came to the table. One to take the order, another to bring one part of the order, another to bring what was left. Edward was the only person who took some interest in our table. He gave us his complete attention and told us about the restaurant's offerings. Soon the area we were dining in became a preparation area. See pictures. Vegetables started being prepared. Never seen anything like this before. Now to the food:- The papri chat had more garbanzo than anything else, the seekh kababs were red in color with no flavor. Goat meat was stale. Butter chicken extremely sweet, Dal makhni undercooked and not makhni at all. Nans were half way decent but still not up to par. A disgrace to Indian food. Worst part of all was that the private party going on inside just kept getting loud and obnoxious by the minute. My advice to the owners and management of Karma Lounge is that if you're going to have a private event this loud- close the rest of the restaurant. All customers deserve the same attention and quiet to enjoy their outing. Also your food needs drastic changes. It's not difficult to create food with authentic flavors. Ask me and I'll give you or your chef some pointers. I ran a very successful Indian restaurant for many years. No charge.

It was our first time here and the food did not dissapoint. The flavor and the spiciness is spot on and way better than most other places ive tried. The service is great, especially Edward. Nice music plays and it really put you in the mood to eat.

I finally got around to trying this place & it did not disappoint. Very clean & tidy environment. Servers very quick & our food was outstanding. Will be there a lot more often now!!

The food is so good service was great. Would recommend to anyone who likes Indian food.

Excellent service and food quality, thanks for the attentive checks on our needs Edward! The parking lot is partially full with the other businesses but Karma Lounge stands out as the central restaurant for large groups or intimate dates craving Indian food. We've been here several times and they have plenty of seating and the menu is robust with dishes for both meat lovers and vegetarians. I recommend the goat biriyani and garlic naan. Our friends who live nearby love to order takeout and always get the butter chicken. We have yet to try their weekend buffet, which includes free chai or lassi, but looking forward to taking advantage of that deal soon. They also make their ice cream in-house and Edward was sure to make it tempting to try, next time!

Great customer service with high quality food. Lamb Roganjosh - the tenderness of the lamb was perfect. Thick gravy and best so far I've tried. Note: even the veggie options were totally at a different level than all of the Indian restaurants tried so far. Price was similar to LA restaurants and portions were almost double of LA restaurants. It's a highly recommended place for Indian food.

It has this dark but classy aesthetic and I was not prepared for that (in a good way). This restaurant has been here for about 2 years with different ownership and menu so I was excited to see what they had to offer. Hugo helped us with our order and he was very friendly and professional. We went ahead and ordered the ahi tuna taco, pork belly bao, garlic fries, the margharita pizza, the yuzu lobster pasta, and for drinks I got the virgin burning thyme. My friend got that and other drinks as well. Ahi tuna taco - 5/5 probably the best food item for the evening. The tuna was fresh, perfect amount of kick in its sauce, and the outter shell was perfectly crunchy. I think them replacing the shell with wonton was exceptional with the texture. Every bite was extremely satisfying. Pork Belly bao - 4/5 everything was delicious. The bow itself is bouncy and moist. There wasn't anything special about the sauce inside with the pork belly, but I would definitely give it a try at least once. A great portion with your friends or family as an appetizer. Garlic fries - 3/5 It was a bit underwhelming, but nothing horrible. I could not taste the garlic at all, but the fries itself was cooked to perfection with the outer being pretty crispy and inside being soft. Margharita pizza - 4/5 I really like the crust and the breading of this pizza. It was crispy and the pepperoni was cooked to perfection. I really like the small pepperoni because it gives an immense amount of flavor in each bite. The cheese and the tomato sauce was fine, but nothing special. Yuzu lobster pasta - 4/5 I wish I was able to taste more of the Yuzu since that's in the name of the dish, but I could not. If it was just called the lobster pasta I would say it's amazing. The tomatoes were perfect to lighten the entire dish with the heavy sauce and the pasta. The lobster was cooked fine. Other than that it was fine, but I would say either enhance the Yuzu flavor or remove it in the name of the dish. Burning thyme - 4.5/5 I really like the acid and the balance of sweetness and sour in this drink. Usually, I get skeptical when I make an alcoholic drink version because the bartender tends to over sweeten the drink, but this was not the case, and I enjoyed it a lot with our food.

The tuna poke, blue fin on crispy coconut rice, and the falafel were all great. The tuna poke was probably the favorite as it came with a delicious slaw that was perfectly dressed, with some siracha and avocade crema for dipping. I had the "Billionaire's Bacon Wedge Salad" which was a great start -- it was delicious -- my bacon was "borrowed" by every person at the table. For entrees, we had the skirt steak, jidori chicken tacos, ora king salmon, and the chicken romano. All were great -- with the crusted mashed potatoes another highlight. Our server Steph also did a great job -- which was great to see as service had been an issue on previous visits years ago. I'm very glad to see a local family doing well with this great neighborhood spot that is serving up really quality food, great communal food energy, and what was a great looking wine list (Dry January prevented me from imbibing). We look forward to coming back and trying some of Chef's creations (Camel Chili !?!?!)!

It was a regular short-sleeve shirt. Maybe the owner should learn what a tank top actually is before making assumptions and insulting customers. On top of that, making comments about people "living at home" and not being able to "afford sleeves" was immature, unnecessary, and honestly just embarrassing behavior from a business owner. We came in with a valid coupon--not expired, nothing shady--and were flat-out refused. No reasonable explanation, no attempt to make it right, just a dismissive "we're not honoring that." For the record, we ordered two margaritas, a fountain drink an appetizer and split a taco plate. The coupon was for a free appetizer. After presenting the bill the manager stated they cannot honor the coupon because the appetizer was more than the tacos (the appetizer being tater tots, that I ADDED $7.00 carne asada to.) I asked if they could just take the tater tots off or even just take the tacos off if it were a price issue. They refused. Made no attempt to make the situation right. Unfortunately, the food didn't come close to making up for it. Everything tasted bland, poorly prepared, and overpriced for the quality. It honestly felt like zero care went into what was served. The drinks from the bar weren't any better--weak, unbalanced, and not even close to what you'd expect from a "Sports bar" What really sealed the deal was the manager's attitude. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, he came across as dismissive and uninterested. No accountability, no customer service--just a shrug and a bad vibe. Overall, this place misses the mark on every level: food, drinks, and integrity. There are too many good restaurants out there to waste time and money on one that doesn't respect its own customers. So many restaurants going out of business locally it's sad, but with events like this, it makes sense. Value the customer. Take pride in serving your community.
