The biggest issue, however, is their customer service. They rarely return phone calls, making it extremely frustrating to get updates or schedule service. I didn't have a copy of my insurance card; the young lady was kind enough to print a copy for me from my online policy. I had a daytime running light that had been out of service for weeks. I fully expected to pay for that in addition to the cost of inspection. Apparently the wiring was loose so I was not charged. In today's environment that level of honesty is extraordinary. We called Iacone, they sent a tow truck, it only cost a $100.00. If you have ever been towed out of Philly by one of those unscrupulous tow truck drivers you know it would have been about $400.00 bucks. Anyway, when something breaks I know where to take it. I don't always like what they have to say, but they always fix it right the first time. After all, who wants to hear their original alternator burned out after 9 years, inversely, who in their right mind would think that such a hard working component would last that long any way? Tires, they even have great prices on tires. It's hard to match apples to apples, but the set I bought for my truck were less than other competitors' and they looked a lot better too, which was a pleasant surprise. Listen. LISTEN. If you are considering hiring this "mobile mechanic," please pause, take a deep…read morebreath, and maybe lie down, because what I'm about to describe is not for the faint of heart. This man rolled up to my driveway in a van that looked like it had already lost a fight with a tornado, a raccoon, and possibly its own sense of self-worth. He hopped out, spilled an entire soda, and said, "Don't worry, that happens." Sir. SIR. Why is that your greeting?? He opened my hood, nodded like he was understanding the secrets of the universe, then poked a totally random part and said, "Yep, that's your problem." When I asked what the problem was, he said and I quote, "Mechanic stuff." Thirty minutes later my car was making a new sound I can only describe as "haunted dishwasher screaming into the void." I asked him if that was normal and he said, "Cars make noises." Then he charged me an amount of money so offensive I think it might be a hate crime against my bank account. He drove away. My car died. In the same moment. Like they were spiritually connected and my car couldn't continue living after witnessing whatever he did to it. If you hire this man, may the automotive gods have mercy on your soul because he WILL NOT. i would give zero stars but, Yelp refuses to let me express the true depth of my suffering.
