The back story: We decided to forgo complete surprises as a couple. Did a number on my silver bracelet this morning, by scrapping it on a brick wall on my way to work. Took all the great reviews and decided to stop by to see if they could buff clean and shine it. The jeweler was very nice and accommodating. He fixed my bracelet in less than 3 minutes while I got to peruse his gorgeous selections. Turns out he wouldn't even charge me for the service! Every piece has been designed and handcrafted by him, and they are all truly works of art and so unique. The ring I fell in love with was like nothing I had ever seen before and every single detail of it was perfect. The second I saw this ring, the search had ended. Unfortunately, then I just had to wait for my boyfriend to be ready to go back and buy it. 3 months later on my birthday my boyfriend and I returned to buy my ring. The second we walked in the door, Kev remembered exactly who we were and what ring we had wanted before. He had even set it aside for us so that it wouldn't sell. He went right back and got it, and he even remembered the price that he quoted us on it (discount and exchanging of a previous ring that the diamond we were using was in). After a poor experience at another jeweler in the area, my fiance and I went to Karli Jeweler to look for my wedding band. All of the jewelry is hand made and you can peek into his shop if you want to. Very authentic, old school, quality work. I found a band that I loved with alternating sapphires and diamonds but wanted some extra detail. Without hesitating, Kev told us he would use the band I wanted and add engraving on the sides of the entire thing to match my engagement band. He also touched up some of the engraving on my engagement band (purchased elsewhere) that I felt wasn't just right. My friend recommended me to Kev and said he was the best. The first time I went in was back in April 2015 and had needed my engagement ring resized because it was way too big. Kev helped me measure and recommended a size 4. But I thought it was a little tight, so I opted for bigger, but 4.50 was too big, so he did a 4.25 for me. When I left, it was perfect. Two weeks later, it felt loose again, not sure if it's because I lost a little weight or if I was indeed a size 4. So I went back again today to have it resized again. Kev helped me measure a few times and let me try as long as I needed as long as I'm comfortable. He was very attentive and truly cared that if it's not tight enough I might lose it especially since I don't have big knuckles to prevent the ring from falling off. He is very patient and really tries to work with you. This was my second time there so he was very kind to not charge me for the second time resize. After visiting several cantankerous jewelers all acting like they didn't want my business or telling me that what I wanted was "impossible to finish" before christmas, I happened upon Karli Jewelers. First, I liked that fact that Kev's door is always open, I mean, it's a bit annoying and I find classless to have to wait outside a place of business while they buzz you in- Kev obviously understands this concept. I went in with a piece of sea glass, not knowing exactly what I wanted, other than I knew that I wanted to turn it into a necklace for my girlfriend. Kev was very patient and gave me a few options- including drilling through it or framing it. Seeing as though it was a custom piece and it was a week before x-mas, I really didn't think that it would be possible to get it done in time. Kev quoted me a very reasonable price and told me that he could have it done by the 23rd. He actually called me on the 22nd saying it was ready. When he showed me how he had transformed this sea glass into a beautiful, original necklace, I almost couldn't believe my eyes! Seriously, grade A, professional work.
