I can't say enough good things about Karin as our wedding planner! Having previously worked in the wedding industry as a florist (and working with Karin many moons ago!), I thought I could handle everything myself, but I was so wrong! Hiring Karin for day-of coordination was one of the best decisions we made. Karin was amazing--she helped create the timeline, organized all the little details and decor items I wanted in specific places, and even coordinated our wedding party that consisted of 8 kids (which we didn't even get to practice)! She reminded me of so many important details that I hadn't considered while planning, and most importantly, she calmed me down during a stressful moment just a week before the wedding when I was even considering canceling the big day. Karin's support and expertise made all the difference, and I highly recommend her to anyone planning their wedding! read more

Do yourself a favor and hire Karin! My wedding day was perfect because of her...and even if there were hiccups, I never knew! As a project manager for work, I'm particular about details and timelines, and so is Karin. Karin is funny, thoughtful, organized, and detail-oriented and committed to ensuring the best possible day for her clients. She asks the right questions, makes amazing vendor recommendations, and handles planning challenges with ease. When I handed off my vendor list, I knew she would take care of every detail. Our wedding day ran so smoothly and I know that's because of Karin's work behind the scenes. I loved working with her and would recommend her to any bride to be! read more

Karin was wonderful to work with for our July '22 wedding! We started our relationship with Karin way back in 2019 as we were planning a 2020 wedding. We postponed a few times due to covid and Karin was always very understanding and helpful through these postponements. She was our day-of-coordinator and was well-organized, detail oriented, and a delight to work with. Karin ensured we had a detailed day-of timeline and helped iron out any small kinks that popped up on the wedding day. We really appreciated her help and had a beautiful wedding thanks in part to her steering the ship! read more

Karin Kamb - Party & Event Planning Near Me

We were really disappointed with Karin. We had a negative experience and wouldn't recommend her to other couples. Please be cautious if booking a day of coordinator, since they can have such an impact on the actual day and could be interacting with many of your family members and guests, impacting their experience as well. Karin is knowledgeable when it comes to local vendors and could be the right fit for you, but make sure to align on expectations beforehand. We handled all of our wedding planning on our own and just wanted someone there to be a liaison on the day of to make our lives easier, and unfortunately, that wasn't what happened. Most of the vendors seemed to work well with Karin, which was great, but her treatment of our family and guests was, unfortunately, a different story. After the wedding, we were so disappointed to hear how many people had unpleasant interactions with her during our wedding. She met their questions with surprising hostility and scolded multiple family members rather than helping them. Her timing and tact were lacking, most notably when she interrupted the start of our first look to ask Jen (my bride) for her payment (!). In hindsight, we regret our decision and want to warn other couples to think carefully before choosing whether to have Karin as a day of coordinator. read more

I will begin my review of my experience with Karin by saying that I am a professional Event Coordinator and I was very careful in selecting the right fit for my day-of wedding coordinator. I had naturally high expectations and Karin met all of them! From the get-go, I was pleased with the promptness of her communication timelines, which goes a long way in event planning for both sides of the aisle. I very much appreciated the initial phone call for both of us to make sure that the business relationship would be a good fit. A lot of coordinators and event companies just want money and will tell you whatever you want to hear in order to get your contract. Not Karin! She cares about the quality of her work and she prioritizes making sure that her services will align with you and your vision. She has a lot of experience in all kinds of events, large and small, so there really are not many questions she cannot answer. I appreciated her honesty and insight into what parts of the wedding day were truly important and what I did not need to make myself stress over. She was on time to all of our meetings, communicative with all of my vendors, and took extra time with me when she could see I needed it. Working with Karin felt almost like I was working with a long time friend. On the day of my wedding, she showed up early and made sure everything came together seamlessly. As someone who can be overly involved and aware (to a fault), I tried really hard to relax and let the event I'd spent tons of time and energy planning come together. Karin met with me long enough to keep me in the loop while not overwhelming me (WEDDINGS ARE STRESSFUL!). I felt truly peaceful and confident that everything was happening, even though MY communication fell off completely on my wedding day. My ceremony was perfect and the timeline was magic. When I finally arrived to my reception site, everything was beyond expectation and Karin worked swiftly behind the scenes to make sure that nothing went awry. We, of course, had some inevitable hiccups but Karin made sure that I was oblivious to them and enjoying myself the whole time. I am grateful for Karin's excellent communication, honesty/directness, professionalism, understanding of frazzled-bride-syndrome, and flexibility. She was organized and made everything more comfortable and easy, which, for an event coordinator, is paramount in hospitality and service. The true test: a bride reflecting on her wedding day and knowing that she would not have changed a single thing! It was the perfect wedding and Karin was critical in the success of the day. I could not recommend her more highly if you want someone who will truly care about your event as if it is their own... which, it kind of is! SIDE NOTE: Karin even helped me in and out of my gown to use the restroom when I could not find any of my bridesmaids! That is a TRUE MVP. read more

Karin made our wedding day at the Bell Valley Retreat run seamlessly. I chose her month-of wedding coordination package and am not sure what I would have done without her support. Karin was very responsive from the time of our first conversation to our wedding day and provided guidance throughout as I sorted through the logistics of bringing catering, rentals, etc. to a more remote wedding destination. In the month leading up to the wedding, Karin made sure that we had a clear and detailed day of timeline and that all vendors were on the same page. Day-of, Karin made things run so beautifully that I truly forgot about all of the logistics (over which I had previously obsessed) and just fully enjoyed the day, stress-free - a very beautiful thing on your wedding day! I would highly recommend Karin to anyone looking for a wedding planner. She is extremely professional and really a master at her craft. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Karin who was our month-of wedding coordinator for a wine country wedding in the end of July. Karin knew our venue very well, so this made it easy for us. But she also had great general event expertise like a reminder about tapered candles not being left in the sun (they can melt!). Karin made sure that my husband and I felt supported throughout the event however we needed and that she had our back with anything that could arise. She even went and grabbed me contact lens solution on the day-of. After the wedding our parents and bridal party members told us they were impressed with her clear direction and presence on the wedding weekend (she also came to the rehearsal). Karin - thank you so much again. It truly was a magical event! read more

This is how much I love Karin: I got married YESTERDAY; I am going on my honeymoon TOMORROW; I still want to take five minutes to shout to the world how awesome this woman is. If you need to get your act together for any kind of event, give this clever girl a call. Karin made order from chaos and was my personal savior dozens of times throughout the crazy day. My favorite Karin touch: she found out what cocktails my new hubby and I fancied and had them waiting for us when we arrived at our reception. That in and of itself makes her my hero. read more

My approach to wedding planning was hire the best, and let them work their magic! Karin worked magic! She was a pleasure to have as our wedding coordinator. She recommended amazing vendors (such as spiral hand- florists). She was organized, prompt, prepared and most of all genuinely nice. She was always a call (or email away) when I was not sure about the etiquette of this or that. She gave great advice and coordinated a seamless "Perfect Wedding!" We were so lucky to have her conducting our amazing day! read more

As an anguish bride with a busy schedule, I insisted that our budget allowed for a wedding coordinator. I knew I found the right coordinator when my fiancée and I met Karin. She was so easy going and honest during our initial interview. She listened to my vision for the wedding and was considerate of our budget when providing feedback and advices. Karin ran our entire wedding weekend and everything just worked. She was so organized during the rehearsal which helped because I was a nervous wreck. Karin was clear, friendly and to the point while instructing the bridal party. She stayed behind after rehearsal to inventory our decoration And promptly sent a reminder to us for the odds and ends. On the day of, she made sure that everything was set up so that by the time I stepped into the venue, everything was in place. She was a pro conductor because the progression of the night was fluid. I've heard from countless friends and family members that our wedding was stress free and fun. A large part of that can be attributable to Karin's coordination. Thank you Karin for everything. read more

It has been over a year since our wedding, and somehow my wife and I have not yet taken 10 or so minutes to jot down some thoughts and write up a review for one of the coolest, most professional, well organized people we have ever had the opportunity to work with. So, here it goes, our loooong over due review of Karin's work. We were referred to Karin by my sister in law, who herself has lots of experience in the realm of catering and wedding planning. Upon first meeting Karin, we found her to be a great listener and someone who immediately was able to sense what we wanted. She understood that we were two people who perhaps could have settled for something much smaller and simpler than what we ended up with, but knew that slightly more formal (for us) was the direction we were heading in. Incidentally, with Karin's guidance, ideas, and on the ball planning and expediting, we were able to pull off an event that many of our guests mentioned felt incredibly relaxed and low key without sacrificing the special occasion feel and even some fanciness! (well, again, for us, some of our relatives probably thought it was super casual - guess we have fancy relatives.) For anyone planning a wedding in the Bay Area, my advice would be to secure a venue as far in advance as possible and then talk to Karin. Even for those on a budget and who are contemplating a communal and/or DIY oriented event, I'd stlll strongly recommend you give Karin a call. She has seen weddings of all types and will surely steer you in the right direction. Having gained a bit of wedding experience myself, I can tell you that DIY weddings may be the most beautiful, heartfelt and memorable but in my observation they are ALWAYS the most stressful and labor intensive. We were able to save a bit of money and create a great atmosphere by having friends help with center pieces, officiating, DJing, etc. However, knowing that we had a venue geared towards weddings, a great caterer and Karin Kamb really helped to make the day as much fun and stress free as possible. Thank you, Karin, and we hope that you're having a great 2013 wedding season! -Natalie & Joe read more

Karin is wonderful! She was our day-of coordinator for our wedding in the midst of the pandemic. Karin was willing to answer my questions (even when many of them couldn't be fully answered amongst the uncertainty of 2020/2021). Most importantly, Karin was knowledgeable about working with our local vendors which made all the difference. For our day - she was prompt, organized and adapted as kinks came up during the day. She made sure my husband and I were always taken care of (had water, ate, had a glass of champagne) which was so helpful. Would absolutely recommend her! read more

As a prospective groom, I was initially skeptical that we needed Karin's help, and thought we'd do fine without a coordinator. Having gone through the wedding and had such a fantastic experience, I absolutely cannot imagine how it could have happened without her help. It was clear that she was completely on top of things and made the event wonderful for us and our guests. I recommend her without any reservations. To any prospective groom who might need convincing, I would simply ask, wouldn't you rather spend that special evening with your guests and your bride and let Karin expertly deal with all the craziness behind the scenes? read more

From the moment that we chance-met Karin during a wedding venue tour in Mendocino, she did everything imaginable to ensure our wedding was the best event possible. We hosted a three-day outdoor camping wedding at Camp Navarro over Memorial Day weekend, which is a taller-than-usual ask for any wedding planner. This was absolutely no challenge for Karin at all - she was supportive in every way, and patiently answered every single question that raced across our minds. She always put our minds at ease and assured us that everything would run smoothly, and of course, weekend-of, everything was impeccably executed. In every way, Karin went above and beyond. She never missed a beat with scheduling and managing multiple, large-scale, complicated setups across several days. Our family and friends were also completely charmed by her calmness, her smile, and her assured professionalism. Karin's creative dedication to our vision was evidenced, amongst many other ways, when she stepped in and hand-made corsages after our flower vendor failed to deliver them. That kind of commitment moved us both to tears. A medic, a firefighter, a planner, and an immediately dear friend - we couldn't have asked for a more well-rounded Renaissance woman to run the show! She knows so many talented people and vendors in Mendocino County who also contributed to making the weekend truly amazing. Karin's relentless optimism, wisdom, professionalism and care made our wedding most perfect experience imaginable. Thank you for everything Karin! read more

I cannot say enough about Karin. We have hired her many times to plan and execute events and there is NO ONE I have met in this industry who is as organized, charming and adept at this career than Karin. She always goes the extra mile, she always follows through and she never breaks her word. She thinks of things no one else does and she makes sure everything runs seemless, down to the last little detail. She is dependable, fun and charismatic. Nothing ever feels harried, rushed or unorganized when Karin is at the helm. I am blown away by her every day. You absolutely can't go wrong with this rockstar of a planner! read more

We had such a great experience working with Karin as our wedding coordinator. She was easy to work with and very patient with all our questions during the planning process. Karin is organized , helpful , detail oriented and easy to work with. I had a very specific vibe I was trying to achieve and little time to devote to wedding planning, Karin went above and beyond to help me bring the vision to life . She was was always prompt in responding to my emails regarding decor , ettiequte, vendor recommendations and whatever else came up during the planning process. They wedding turned out better than anything my husband and I could have imagined. The day of the wedding she was incredibly hands on helping with whatever needed to be done (place settings , decor , deliveries) and coordinating all the vendors . During the planning process my husband wasn't sure that we needed a coordinator but went with it cause he didn't want me to stress however, after our wedding he raved about what a great job Karin did and what a good idea it was to hire her . If you are planning a wedding and want it to go smoothly (& stress free ) hire Karin - she is the best of the best!! read more

I am a control freak: I deny it, but I know it. Sometimes I think my motto in life is, "get out of my way, I got this". Could I have planned our wedding myself? Sure. Could I have coordinated with vendors, found the right people to work with, and organized the wedding party during rehearsal? Yeah, I told you, I got this. What "I don't got" however, is another wedding day. Who has the time, patience, or desire even, to spend their entire wedding worrying? Enter Karin. I knew that if I wanted to enjoy this day at all, which is sort of the point, then I needed some help...a lot of help. The smartest thing Brandon and I did was put Karin on our team. From the moment we met her it was just right. I personally think the way you feel about your partner is the way you should feel about your wedding coordinator: you can't imagine doing this with any other person. They are your foundation. They keep you on track, remind you of all of the things you should have thought about but didn't, don't yell at you because you are sometimes being a sassy idiot, and most importantly, they keep everyone calm. Karin recommended vendors who proved to be simply amazing. She called us the afternoon of our wedding to make sure we did not need anything from town. She kept everyone organized and on time. She never made anyone of us feel like our questions were ridiculous or that she didn't have the time to help us in any way. Karin is extremely knowledgeable, composed, quick, precise, organized and just down right one of the most awesome human beings I have ever met. To say that she successfully controlled the control freak is an understatement. Karin "has got this", and that, and everything else you forgot along the way. She is simply fantastic and was pivotal in making Brandon's and my wedding the most amazing experience of our lives. We are so incredibly thankful for her and recommend her most highly. read more

My husband and I hired Karin to be our day-of-coordinator for our wedding this past weekend on 10/23/21. From the start, Karin was well-organized, straight-to-the-point, honest, and friendly to work with. I was planning the event on my own, but if I had small questions or needed opinions, Karin was more than willing to give her feedback. Our event was all outdoors, and it ended up raining this past weekend. When she spotted rain in the forecast she, fortunately, set off all the alarms to start the ball rolling for rain preparation. Because she was on the ball, we were able to get tents reserved, unlike many other unfortunate events this past weekend. Her long experience with event planning really showed on our actual wedding day. Everything went flawlessly. She displayed all of the decor that we brought for the wedding beautifully. She coordinated with all of the vendors perfectly so that my husband and I could enjoy our day worry-free. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone needing event coordination services. Thank you, Karin! read more

Karin was our day-of Wedding Coordinator and did a wonderful job. She met with me for 1 hour (free of charge before I signed with her) to help consult and share information about her services - very personal touch! We had a few vendors (transportation and our DJ) that were not quite performing the evening of our wedding (will save you the details) and she completely took charge and helped coordinate any loose ends. She is very well connected and can help you choose additional vendors if you still have decisions to make! She knows what she's doing!! I highly recommend her to any bride out there! read more

What can we say except for "Karin is amazing"! My husband and I were engaged in November 2009 and wanted an Oct or Nov 2010 wedding. One of our first things that we did in our wedding planning was to pick a coordinator. He and I lead very busy lives and needed someone who was well organized, nimble, and all about flawless execution and at the same time let us do all of the "creative producing". Karin was a perfect match for us. My husband and I had found Karin on Yelp and interviewed her as well as a few others. No one else compared to Karin. Karin's reviews are glowing and quite true and very consistent as to whom she is as a person and a coordinator. If you need someone that is on time, organized, funny and a delight to work with at every moment...she is the coordinator for you. She also works with you regarding your budget and if you are in a bind and need some advice as to who you need for transportation, or cake or whatever...she has excellent referrals who also execute flawlessly! The one thing that I really loved about Karin is that she is also so courteous and kind and that was shown not only to us, but to our families. On the evening of our dress rehearsal and at our wedding ceremony and reception, she kept our large wedding party and outgoing guests on track and the day flowed seamlessly, at the same time of taking care of the needs of my parents and guests that required special assistance. Karin also had a new assistant that was going through her training take part as our coordinator. Her name was Haven and she also was exceptional and paid extra attention to guests that needed help. Both of them were dolls to our parents and to us indeed! Clever Girl Consulting is definitely a business that is based on that personal touch and customer service. Planning a wedding can be stressful at times, but the right day of coordinator can set you at ease. Karin and Clever Girl Consulting are definitely worth it! Also, if a bride is thinking twice on the idea of having a day of coordinator...don't...it is the best thing that you can do to ensure a fun and wonderful day to remember! You Rock! Karin was the perfect wedding coordinator for our special day! From the very beginning, she was kind, attentive, caring, and fantastic with her communication. We got married at Beltane Ranch (gorgeous and amazing venue) and we found Karin because she came recommended by our venue. We are SO happy we had Karin to help us for our big day because she is so dialed in with Beltane Ranch, their staff and many of the local vendors we used. She made our day completely stress free - I never felt an ounce of worry and she made sure of that. I loved her vibe as a wedding coordinator, she always made us feel confident that we were making the right decisions without pushing us too hard in one direction. She also got us connected with an incredible band (The Lucky Devils) and the most amazing florist (Auna from Beijaflor Botanicals). We feel SO lucky that she was able to refer us to those vendors and that they were willing to work with us because of her connections and great relationships to those vendors. Karin, you were amazing in every way! We loved working with you and hope that many others get the chance to work with you because you bring the best vibe to the wedding coordinator scene! Thank you for everything :) you are the best! read more

Karin was my day of wedding coordinator and is a hidden gem. She has coordinated / produced events for years and really knows her stuff and is affordable (which is not a word you come to expect to use when planning a wedding). She was referred to me by a wedding coordinator I could not afford. Most of the day-of coordinators in my price range did not have the experience I wanted. Karin will straight up tell you if something you want is not going to work but if there's a way she can make what you want happen, she'll do it. She and I had an initial phone conversation and then met a few months before my wedding to discuss the details, vendors, etc. She made suggestions for layout and other important details and asked me questions about things that would never have crossed my mind. She helped me come up with a timeline and confirmed all vendors would be at the venue at their appointed times. She met with me again about a month before the wedding at the venue (Flood Mansion) with my caterer to to do a walk through. She ran the rehearsal and the day of flawlessly and was absolutely great to work with. Stuff goes wrong at your wedding - there is no way around it. For us, it was the weather. No rain in sight until the day before when all of a sudden we had a 70% chance of rain for our outside ceremony. Our caterer had not sufficiently thought through a rain plan and Karin jumped right in to help make sure everything would be great. On our wedding day, I asked her to make the call about the weather and just deal with everything which she did beautifully. She is calm, effective, fun to be around, uber professional and affordable - everything you want in an event coordinator. I absolutely could not have asked for a better coordinator. read more

Karin is the best. She coordinated my daughter's wedding 10 years ago in San Francisco and did such an amazing job that I reached out to her again for my second daughter's wedding this past weekend in Berkeley. She coordinated both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. She is organized, professional, calm and on top of things. We had an issue with someone not showing up on time to let us into the rehearsal dinner site, and Karin was on the phone dealing with the situation and keeping everyone (me!) calm. It all worked out with her assistance. The wedding itself was absolute perfection, in no small part because of Karin and her talents. She absolutely knows what she is doing. She knows how to deal with vendors and keeps in touch with them to make sure everyone is on the same page. She was always prompt and checked in with us during the weekend to make sure we knew she was on track with everything. She is extremely supportive. You can relax and know things will get handled with Karin coordinating your event. She is a lovely person and simply the best at what she does. I would highly recommend her. She is a star. read more

My wife and I choose a venue that required a day-of-coordinator. After meeting with several others, we decided to go with Karin. It turned out to be a great decision. Karin was great throughout the process - her response times were prompt and she was available to answer questions or give advice at any time. Despite being our day-of coordinator, she was helping us out months before the wedding. As the wedding grew closer, Karin took care of so many of the little things that my wife and I were able to relax and spend time with our friends and families, rather than stress about when this vendor was showing up, etc. As you can imagine, the day-of was no different. Every wedding has about 1000 variables that can interfere with a seamless event; our was no different. Thanks to Karin and her team, we didn't worry about a single one of them. read more

We hired Karin as a day-of planner for our wedding at The Boonville Hotel and could not be happier with her contribution to the day. Karin was quickly a friend, easy to talk to, ready to jump in however needed and showed her skills right from the start. Even in the early planning months she was there via email with little questions we had (since we've never done anything like this before it was great to have her to ask) and she even referred us to a very special vendor that would've otherwise been hard to find. Karin is kind, easy to work with and straight forward. Especially when hiring a day of planner, you may talk a few times before hand and meet quickly if you're lucky, so to have all of your planner's work happen on the important day puts a lot of pressure on being sure you hired the right person. Karen jumped in on our wedding day, when we didn't have much time to escort and manage her, she didn't need it at all. She's such an expert she was buzzing around finding what needed to be done and executing with ease. She kept the day running on schedule so we never had to sacrifice any specific part. She didn't need us during the day at all and made it look like everything went perfectly smooth to us! She was also on hand to take care of the smaller tasks for us so we could enjoy our party as much as possible. She was willing to do whatever tasks were needed. One of the most important things (it seemed) to her was making sure we ate, and that we got some time alone after the ceremony. She had some chilled champagne and treats in our room right after the ceremony and in the hazy morning after she left us a sweet note. I would highly recommend Karin to anyone looking to get the most out of their wedding as possible. She was fantastic as a day of planner and I'm sure if you hired you for planning throughout the process she would make your life so easy! read more

Karin just finished being the Day-of-Coordinator for my wedding last Saturday. I had gotten her name from a friend of mine that used her for her wedding a couple years ago and had nothing but good things to say about Karin. I have to admit, when I started planning my wedding 6 months ago, I didn't really know what a Day-of-Coordinator was, other than someone to be there the day of the wedding and run things. I actually called Karin one late Sunday night a month or so into the planning because I hadn't been able to sleep the nights before stressing over the wedding and I just wanted to hire someone to get some moral support and know someone would be there for me the day of the wedding to have it run smoothly. It was the best call I made. It turned out that not only did Karin run the show the day-of, she also met with us several times during the planning process to go over what the plan was, meet with the ceremony and reception venues, and do a final walk-thru a few days before the wedding. Karin also provided a list of preferred vendors and was available for on-going questions as the planning progressed. She attended the rehearsal, took the lead in handing out the payments to the various vendors, drafted a schedule for the whole day, called all the vendors to reconfirm and make sure they had everything they needed for the day of, and was the last person out the door on the day of the wedding, making sure everything was taken care of. For me, Karin was a great fit. I didn't need someone to plan the whole wedding (though I believe she can do that), but really just needed someone to be there as a reference (as this was my first, and hopefully only wedding), and to make sure the actual day went great. Plus, from what I saw checking out other coordinators, her prices are very reasonable for the quality of attention you receive. read more

Karin was the day-of-coordinator at our wedding in April and she did an amazing job. She was happy to meet with me a few times before our wedding day to go over logistics, attend our tasting, and meet with our other vendors. If I ever had a question and sent her an e-mail or asked to have a brief conversation, she was happy to talk. Karin was always prompt and professional, which is exactly what a bride needs when she's trying to plan a wedding. The two things I was most impressed by was how Karin took the initiative on reaching out to our other vendors to confirm logistics and timing, and how she also was on top of EVERYTHING at our wedding (yet was always behind the scenes). I realized later after the day that there were some things I had forgotten to communicate to her, but Karin took care of them all and was hardly in my face. It's like she was always there... but not there, if that makes sense. She also stayed until the very end of our wedding (midnight), which was really helpful. Both my husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Karin and I would highly recommend her to any couple planning a wedding. read more

We hired Karin as Day of Coordinator for our May 2013 wedding in SF and she was excellent. She helped us think of numerous details well in advance and troubleshoot them, and she made sure the wedding day itself went off without a hitch. She made sure the vendors were where they needed to be when they needed to be, and was on top of the overall schedule for the ceremony and the reception. I was especially thrilled that we could hire Karin do both the wedding planning and flowers for the big day. Her floral arrangements blew us away--both the cut flowers on the tables and the bouquets/boutonnieres. She was solid as a rock and was totally reliable. She will think of many, many details that would never occur to you but which are nonetheless very important. We are not "wedding planner" type people. We are very low maintenance and happy to roll up our sleeves and get a project done. However, close friends of ours who had helped their son organize his wedding last summer told us that doing it all on their own made them go crazy. They were running around the day of trying to keep the ball rolling, and were unable to be with the guests and their family for the actual experiencing of the wedding. I am so glad we listened to them and hired Karin. Our guests and vendors and deeply appreciated her professionalism and organization. At the rehearsal, she took charge and made sure we went over all the crucial details. We were married by a close friend who had never officiated before, so it was helpful to have her there for the the run-through. For example, she pointed out that since we wanted a big group portrait of all the 100 guests at the wedding ceremony, my husband and I should walk out of a view for a few moments right after the ceremony ended so the photographer could get everyone arranged without a huge mob scene of joy and hugging around us. A little detail, but saved a ton of time and gave us a few moments alone together right after the ceremony. She is a pro. I do not recommend attempting to plan your wedding entirely on your own. We found "day of" services to be sufficient for our needs, and I shudder to think how exhausting it would have been without Karin. I can honestly say I had so much fun on our wedding day and was able to relax and deeply savor/enjoy it. I think Karin was a huge part of that and recommend her highly! read more

My husband and I got married just under a month ago and we are still marveling over Karin's work. She was referred to us from a friend, and when this friend told us that Karin somehow managed to keep from them the fact that literally all of their vendors showed up late (in some cases VERY late) and pulled together a flawless wedding (we know...we were there!), we were sold. From the moment we met Karin, we knew she was the right one to hand our wedding weekend over to. And for someone as Type A and particular as I can tend to be, that's saying a lot. She is a rare and perfect blend of inspirational visionary with impeccable taste and detail-oriented roll-up-your-sleeves execution master. We hired her for her day-of package, and added on three extra hours of planning the day before to help us prep for our welcome party (at our house, which we had just spent a year remodeling). She showed up an hour and a half early (which ended up being a godsend, if she had come when I asked her to, we never would have finished everything), spent half the budget I gave her on flowers, and when I walked in after our rehearsal lunch, I almost fell over: our house looked looked so beautiful. For the wedding itself - we threw as many annoying (but to us, important) DIY details at her as we possibly could have, and she executed them all flawlessly. She's tough but fair on vendors - an ex-caterer and sometimes florist, she knows exactly the right questions to ask, knows where everyone should be at what time, and gave me a fair assessment at the end of the night so we knew exactly how much to tip. And she knows everyone in the Bay Area in the wedding industry - she was SUPER helpful on referrals throughout the entire process. I can categorically say that the money we spent to hire Karin was the best money we spent on the wedding, bar none. To walk into that weekend after weeks of fitful sleep and a million things on our minds and be able to totally check out of the details and just focus on each other and our family and friends...was priceless. THANK YOU Karin, for making our wedding weekend the best of our lives. WE LOVE YOU!!! read more

We worked with Karin for our wedding at Spring Ranch in Little River, and she went above and beyond our expectations! She corresponded with every vendor leading up to the wedding, and coordinated a perfect timeline with them. She made sure everything was properly set up for the reception. She greeted my husband and I with cocktails when we showed up to the reception;) And, she made sure that the entire night ran perfectly. She is an amazing coordinator, and such a super sweet and kind woman. We are so glad that we got to work with her, and highly recommend her to anyone who wants to make their wedding fabulous and memorable! read more

My wedding was absolutely everything that I wanted--in a word, it was perfect! The day would not have been nearly as wonderful as it was if we did not have Karin there as our day of coordinator!! She was recommended by our caterer and we are so extremely pleased that we went with their advice. If you have any extra money in your budget (and she is completely affordable!), this is where you should spend it. With Karin as our planner, I was able to sit back and relax on the day of the wedding knowing that she was handling any problems that came up. Not only is she an energetic, outgoing person, but she is dependable and detail oriented, too! Nothing but wonderful things to say about her!! read more

Karin was our "day of coordinator" for our wedding. Our wedding was filled with lots of people movement and many details to keep track of. Karin made sure everything flowed well from the walk through to the rehearsal to the wedding day. She even had double stick tape, when I needed it for the dress in a pinch. Her organizational skills were flawless. We do not hesitate recommending her to anyone in need of her wedding planning services. read more

Karin easily earns all five of these Yelp stars. In fact, I'd give her more if I could! We hit it off during our first phone call and all of our subsequent meetings before the wedding were both productive and fun. Karin is a seasoned wedding pro and is as nice as she is organized. We had to postpone our wedding due to a medical emergency and Karin was there to help us deal with that. When we were ready to set the date again, she was there as well and helped us stay on top of everything as we balanced busy work schedules and planning. Our wedding was at San Francisco City Hall, which is a tricky venue given all of their strict rules and vendor requirements, and we were so thankful to have Karin leading the charge as our liaison, keeping track of all the lists, and checking them twice! Karin's problem-solving and leadership skills came into play during our very large rehearsal (which involved 16 bridal party members in addition to family, and was moved last minute due to a city government event). On the day of the wedding, Karin kept everyone on track. She made sure we ate, made sure we had flutes full of bubbly, and made sure we stuck to the timeline so that we did not incur overage charges from any of the vendors. Also, every detail was executed just as we asked -- from our huge candy bar, to the escort card setup, to our "meet the bridal party" table, and everything in between. We fully enjoyed our magical wedding day, in no small part due to Karin working her magic on our behalf! read more

Karin was organized and extremely helpful! She helped with last minute adjustments and changes. Our wedding wouldn't be perfect without Karin! read more

Karin was our day of wedding coordinator and she is wonderful! She is so organized and just knows what to do and how to do it - which is exactly the quality we needed. Her experience really shows through, and she had great advice for us during the planning stage. I met with Karin and the caterers at the venue about a month or 2 before the wedding, and she really connected and communicated well with the caterer, and just took care of so much stuff that I could take off my list. The day of the wedding, Karin was so on top of things. Everything went so smoothly, and my husband and I were just able to relax and enjoy the day, and not worry about how and when things were going to happen. Our families also raved about her. Karin is professional, dependable, calm and friendly. I hope one of my friends gets married soon so I can recommend her! read more

Karin helped with light planning and coordination for our July wedding. I'll echo the other brides here and say that Karin is a total pro - she fielded questions on all kinds of wedding-related topics, took care of setup and vendor coordination for both our welcome dinner and our wedding, and even gave my mom and aunt helpful advice on my bridal shower! From where we sat, everything felt like it went off without a hitch, though we learned later that almost all of our vendors had been almost an hour late (horrible traffic) and that the wind had nearly taken down our chuppah! Hats off to Karin for her help in planning and for ensuring that everything went smoothly all weekend long. read more

If you are looking for a the fairy godmother of wedding planning who can grant all of your wishes, look no further - Karin is, hands down, the best!! Our wedding was out of this world. My now husband and I clicked with Karin at our first meeting. She was patient with our questions and ideas, and was able to take our vision for the wedding and turn it into reality. As a bride who was planning a wedding in the Bay Area from out of state, I could not have gotten by without her help. From attending appointments with our venue to making recommendations on how to handle a few snafus that arose during the planning process, Karin was a source of invaluable support. She was always available for us- day or night, by phone or email. All of our meetings with Karin were very well-organized. She has great contacts and it gave us such peace of mind that she had worked with so many wonderful vendors; we knew we could trust her recommendations. She was also very creative in offering cost-saving techniques to keep help us stay within our budget and still have a beautiful wedding. For example, she worked with us on a strategy for our florals that allowed us to save money on flowers without sacrificing the overall look of our reception. The end result was absolutely beautiful. In addition to being a phenomenal wedding coordinator, Karin is a lovely person. She remained incredibly up-beat, fun, and positive throughout the entire process. We looked forward to our meetings with her- She made stressful wedding planning fun! We also enjoyed working with Karin's lovely assistant, Zia, the day of the wedding. These lovely ladies allowed us to sit back and enjoy our day. On our wedding day, we looked around at our reception and couldn't believe that this was our wedding day- it was straight out of a wedding magazine! Everything was breathtakingly beautiful and reflected us. Additionally, if anything went wrong that day, my husband and I didn't know about it, and based on all the overwhelmingly positive feedback, neither did our guests. Karin gave us a weekend that we will always cherish. read more

Karin coordinated a friend's wedding last summer at Nicholson Ranch in Sonoma, and did a wonderful job. I recently got engaged, and wanted to see if I could work with her as well for my own wedding. I'm not sure if it will work out yet (she only books one wedding per weekend, which I love, and she's in hot demand well in advance), but she has been so extremely helpful via email that I just wanted to write a note of appreciation. read more

Look no further Karin is the BEST!!!!!!! Right after booking our venue we decided to look into hiring a wedding planner/coordinator. After meeting with several different planners in San Francisco we received a recommendation to contact Karin. That was hands down the best recommendation and decision we made. Thank god Karin was available for the date of our wedding weekend! Right from the start of our first meeting we just clicked! We signed on with Karin for coordination and partial planning for our hands on wedding, so excited knowing we had a super experienced professional wedding expert on our hands! We were also very relieved that Karin had coordinated and consulted previously at our venue. Getting to know Karin and working with her for a year we quickly realized that Karin is beyond organized, resourceful, creative, take charge and so so caring. She puts 110% into every client she works with. She goes above and beyond and became our right hand woman. Karin is so detail oriented and tactical, her efficiency saved us so much time. We trusted Karin completely to execute our wedding weekend, including a rehearsal dinner, welcome BBQ for all guests and wedding day. Her vendor recommendations were a perfect fit for us and our wedding. Coordinating the timeline among all of our vendors was seamless and that is all due to Karin's expertise and organization. Everything was perfect and exactly how we imagined and planned. She has the perfect balance of assertive and calming/comforting personality. I cannot recommend Karin enough! Our wedding was published in Style Me Pretty so we are lucky to have shared the gorgeous results of a lot of hard work. We can thank Karin for her perfect execution, letting us enjoy our special time with friends and family, not having to worry about anything behind the scenes. We were so lucky to work with her.
