Welcome party set up - tablecloths, bar, dance floor, lighting, heaters

We used Matt Rowland Events for all of our rentals for our wedding in August at the stunning Switzer Farm. Since it's more of a home property, we needed to rent tables, chairs, lounge areas, bar tables, ceremony chairs, bars, lighting, dance floor, and more. Working with small-town vendors is important to my husband and me, and Matt's prices were significantly better than those of the larger rental companies anyway so it was a win-win. Matt's communication style is a bit quirky, but that just added to the charm! He really knows his stuff and offered us a great deal. We loved the variety of vintage options he had, along with beautifully crafted wood tables that looked stunning without any tablecloths. Plus, we were able to get mismatched vintage plates and glassware, which perfectly suited our theme. You just can't get things like that with cookie cutter big companies! The entire selection process was efficient and enjoyable. We picked everything out in a single meeting at Matt's home, which was perfect since we don't live in the area. His collection is truly impressive, especially for the vintage vibe we were going for. The delivery team, made up of family members, was incredibly nice and professional. They coordinated with us to ensure the ceremony chairs were exactly where we wanted them and set everything up just as we envisioned. They even helped us set up a speaker for music and speeches during our welcome party since we only had our DJ booked for the wedding day. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with great items, great prices, and great people. I highly recommend Matt Rowland Events for anyone planning a wedding or event!

Highly recommend working with Matt. We got married at Cuffeys Cove in Elk this past September and we are soooo happy we worked with Matt and his team. He knows the space and venues so well and definitely gives the best prices. We met with Matt a few months before our wedding for 1.5 hrs - he patiently guided us through the entire planning session and helped us figure out exactly what we wanted with samples/photos/real life furniture in his space. On the week of our wedding, we had nothing to worry about. He checked in with me a week prior to go through the checklist and make any last min adjustments I had (I decided to add curtains last min and he was super flexible!) His team set up everything perfectly in advance of our wedding day and we didn't have to worry about a thing after our big day. Thank you Matt for all your help making our dream come true!

I had the opportunity to work with Matt (and Prasada!) over the last 18 months as I planned my wedding up in Elk, Ca. They responded to every email, hopped on my many phone calls and helped me sketch out my dream wedding. I am extremely thankful that Matt was able to take my ideas and run with them, from the vintage furniture lounge areas to the fairy light canopy over the dance floor, every detail was executed brilliantly. I brought a chandelier from home that I was eager to have hung up in the barn at the venue, Matt's on location point person for the weekend was so kind as to hang it up for me (and even helped glue it back together when it started to break). I ended up having last minute changes with rugs and furniture which Matt's team accommodated with ease. Overall the process was very straightforward. 18 months before my wedding I emailed Matt. His team let me know that I was reaching out a little early but that they would be happy to note my requests and start confirming details once it got closer. About 7 months before my wedding I made the trek from Los Angeles up north to meet with Matt in person. We created a blueprint of my wedding venue and listed out every line item needed to make it possible. He gave me a total and let me know it was not set in stone - extremely reasonable pricing (everything I could dream of for under $10,000). I was able to pick out the plates, silverware, candle sticks, furniture etc. all right there on the spot. The week of my wedding I again drove over to Matt's and was able to pick out some more of the details, including the rugs and precise vases for flowers. As long as you are a good communicator and can explain your vision, Matt and his team can definitely bring it to life! (Not the best quality, but including photos for further reference)

We used Matt Rowland Events to order the tables and chairs for our recent wedding and I couldn't be happier! First of all, their products are so beautiful and authentic! The handmade wooden farmtables added so much charm to my reception and I LOVED not having to use boring white linens! They also have the most amazing vintage couches- we got one to add some fun to our photo booth (picture attached). I'm also very happy with all the interactions I had with the staff. I was certainly a type-A bride at times and Prasada was quick to answer all my calls/emails and always put me at ease. Bryan and his team of delivery guys were also very lovely to work with-you just don't find this kind of friendly and personalized service with the bigger companies. Their prices are also incredible for the quality of product. I highly recommend Matt Rowland Events for a big event!

It's undeniable, Matt Rowland has the best rentals in the area. His furniture was so key for our wedding. All the handmade wood added such a wonderful home grown feel to the evening. But a word of caution, everything leading up to your event is a struggle. The two person admin team, Matt and his assistant, are unorganized and non attentive. We didn't receive a call or email to confirm our order until 2 days before the wedding (after much badgering on our part). But their onsite crew, led by Nick, was phenomenal. Super helpful and knew exactly what he was doing. Overall our wedding was a total success, we just wish the process leading up to the big day would have been a little smoother.

Matt Rowland Events is great on so many levels. I don't even know where to begin. Let's be honest, planning a wedding is a pain and I'm pretty glad it's over. That being said, our night was so lovely and pretty darn perfect. Aside from the little details my friends and I crafted up, I thank Matt Rowland and crew for helping set up a gorgeous setting for our reception at the Caspar Community Center. We met with him twice; there were no hidden fees, you know exactly what you are paying for and he gets it done. All in all, Matt Rowland made our event magical and a night to remember. Best rental company around. Don't even think twice, use MRE. We will definitely do business with him again in the future.

Open front, clear side walls, solid back. Just as requested!

Matt Rowland Events and his crew came through for our Non Profit event at the Albion River Campgrounds this past week. (We were referred to him by another company that we had previously used but were unable to help us this year.) He was prompt in taking and returning phone calls and texts! He went above and beyond to be sure that our group was WELL taken care of! He even showed up a few days early to evaluate the location and make a few suggestions (that we readily accepted). The tent was clean, the tables and chairs were sturdy and clean. He even went so far as to match the flags on the tent and on the poles to go with the theme of our fundraiser! Matt and his crew were very professional and really went above and beyond for our group and we highly recommend him - (but not TOO highly that he will be too busy to help us in the future - Just Kidding!!!!!) We look forward to using his business and services the next time at our annual event!

My husband and I are still in awe at how perfect our Wedding weekend was at MacCallum House last…read moresummer (July of 2019). My husband is from New Zealand and I grew up in Germany so we had many international guests join us in Mendocino at MacCallum House for our Wedding and we couldn't have heard more rave reviews. There were many times our guests excitedly exclaimed to us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to! We picked the Mendocino Overlook for our Ceremony and were shuttled to and from by the stretch limo included in our package from MacCallum House. What a beautiful ceremony location which is a quick ride from MacCallum House. We were ever so lucky with the weather, sunshine, light winds and blue skies! Our reception was out in a tent on the grounds of MacCallum House. We had a photo booth, fire pit and lounge seating outside the tent. Inside the tent was the dance floor, more lounge seating and of course the bar! Our tent reception ended at 10pm but we are so happy the we transitioned seamlessly into the Mac House were the party continued on until much later! The dance party we were able to host inside MacCallum House with our DJ was one of our highlights. The food that Alan puts together is out of this world. We are fine dining restaurant lovers and wanted to make sure that our Wedding included our love of good food and wine. Mac House did not disappoint. Every steak was cooked to perfection and my vegetarian sister was in heaven with her vegetarian options! All of the appetizers that were passed were exactly as we had always hoped for, a touch of sushi was such a hit! My wine loving parents were thrilled with our wine options and my Whiskey loving husband and his friends were pleased with the Spirit and Cocktail options. We are so happy that we added on Late Night food for our guests which were put out in the MacCallum House during the late night dance party. We opted for the Morning after brunch. The Mac House did a fantastic job of changing up the decor a little in the tent and welcomed our guests back at 10am the morning following our Wedding. It was such a lovely way to end our Wedding weekend, sharing stories from the previous night, sharing a few last drinks (Mimosas and bloody Marys) and finally saying our goodbyes. Elisa was our onsite coordinator and I can not praise her enough. She made sure that every need was taken care of on our special day. Furthermore, she was so responsive and organized in the lead up to our wedding weekend. She responded to texts, calls and emails quickly and was able to predict any hiccup before it even occurred. Her personality is well suited for her job and she makes you feel more like you are communicating with your best friend while planning for the big day! Mollie, MacCallum House's General Manager, is ever so heartwarming and welcoming and the rest of the Mac team made sure all of our guests were well attended to and needs met! We had multiple planning weekends up in Mendocino and each time we arrived, we were met with such enthusiasm and open arms by the Mac House team. We went back to Mac House in October of 2019 following our July 2019 wedding and again we were made to feel so at home. You can't beat a cocktail or glass of wine in the Whale Bar, that's for sure. We know we will be coming back again and again to MacCallum House and can't thank them enough for hosting our dream Wedding! We highly recommend the MacCallum House for any and all events!
