I was excited when I saw they carried Candra Squire word art. Candra makes these great, affordable 5x7 mixed media prints called "notes to self" -- with inspiring, truthful or funny thoughts matted into a frame. They are my favorite small gifts and are always unique and special. To that note, they carry almost exclusively local and independent artists. You'll have a bit of visual overload when you enter, but just take your time to truly go through everything. I think their strong suit is their art selection. This includes prints, greeting cards, kitschy art accessories, even prints of animal heads superimposed on vintage photos (I swear to god, see my photos below). Other standouts include accessories and locally oriented coasters, glassware and entertaining items. Same goes for CLE t-shirts-- there are sooo many in diverse sizes. Don't ask me which t-shirt brand is. There are so many t-shirt brands in Cleveland, I cannot even keep track at this point (they all blur together after a while). Overall, if you need any type of small/large gift, or have a "what on earth should I buy this person?" on your list, you can probably find a great option in here.

It was a highlight of the trip! The market is right downtown in a gorgeous old building, make sure to look at the ceilings. There are public parking areas all around outside, but it does get busy. There are also side buildings and outdoor stalls nearby, so be sure to check them out. Inside is rows upon rows of amazing local vendors with food to enjoy there, or many items to buy and take home. Meat counters, fresh vegetables and fruit, sauces, Middle Eastern food, Greek, Mexican, Gyros, sandwiches, baked goods, salads and so much more are all over. Even stalls that repeat the same types of items have their own unique spin and history. It's busy, with people everywhere looking and enjoying their purchases. Prices are reasonable, especially how fresh and local everything is. I bought a bunch of small things to eat while we walked, together we bought shishkabobs and steak to enjoy at home the following day. It's a great place to shop local!

I sort of stumbled my way here because I had forgotten about this factory but my friend Christina happened to be visiting on a Saturday afternoon and she asked if I wanted to come along so off I went. SERVICE -- I didn't see much guidance so you'll be on your own as you navigate your way around which can be overwhelming so keep that in mind. Also, the parking lot is very large so it may take you some time of driving around before you even find a spot. WINTER HOLIDAY MARKET -- I arrived for their winter holiday market. There were probably over 100 vendors (small businesses) inside the factory selling all sorts of items from candles, to artwork, pottery, t-shirts, etc. I also noticed a small section of food vendors. There is so much to see here that I suggest not coming in on an empty stomach. I hadn't eaten lunch when I arrived and I was starving so I left after 30 mins while my friend Christina left before me because of the large amount of people around. This factory is similar to 78th street studios but the Screw factory is much larger.
