There are three things I miss about living in Auburn, AL. Karen is one of those three things. I had the unfortunate pleasure of moving twice during my two year stint in Auburn. I needed someone to do a move out clean for me cause moving stresses me out and the last thing I want to do is clean. I found Karen on Craigslist and thought to give her a try. I believe she charged about $60 to clean my two bedroom townhouse from head to bottom. I was impressed by the quality of her work. She left no stone unturned and did an absolutely fantastic job of turning the dog hair infested house to something ready to be rented to the next tenant. She did an equally impressive job the second time around and didn't even charge extra for making the drive from Columbus to Auburn. I thought about Karen recently as I'm about to move (hopefully for the last time in a very very long time!). I've used a few house cleaners since I've moved to Knoxville, paid at least twice what Karen charged me with far less impressive results. I guess I'll be stuck with paying another Knoxville cleaner a lot more money for a lot less work. For the folks that still get the pleasure of hiring Karen, I hope you would give her the generous tip she deserves. She has such a great attitude and does a fantastic job. Karen was amazing. I decided to use her services based on the reviews here, and I was not disappointed. I called her around 9 on a Saturday to ask her for a move-out cleaning service and she came by at noon on that same day. She was so quick and thorough and so reasonably priced, I wouldn't recommend anyone else. She doesn't do carpet cleaning, but does wetvac, so keep that in mind. Does an awesome job. We had to add her on Yelp. She does not seem to have a lot of online reviews so here it goes: We recently moved from Columbus/Ft. Benning area. We were referred to her by a friend. Her prices are fairly low, I was a little concerned. I obviously had no reason to be. She did a fantastic job! Was fast, very nice, extremely hard worker. I googled Karen when I was looking for a cleaning service. When she came over to estimate the job and price for cleaning my house, she was very reasonable. I too, like the previous person was wondering if she would work out. Honestly, I was, and still am, amazed at what a wonderful job she does. She cleans everything, she is fast, efficient, honest and dependable. She has said that if I need something done that she has not done, just to let her know. I have gone through my five bedroom house looking for dirty windows, dusty fans, dusty chair rails, etc. -there is nothing that she misses. When she says goodbye after she is done, I have gone outside to pick up the mail, and there she is, sweeping off the porch! This woman is a gem. If I ever move, I am kidnapping her! Called Karen on a Friday morning to deep clean a two bedroom two bath apartment. She was able to come right away and get to work. She did an amazing job cleaning! I called Karen based on the Yelp reviews. I was wrong. She said that she would do a deep cleaning (which is not the same as a move out cleaning) so i expected a deep clean. She sent me a text that she was done and I went home to a semi clean house. First there were still dust on the walls and on top of the curtains and picture/door frames. There were food particles stuck between the stove and counter top, half of my base boards weren't cleaned, and they totally missed a bathroom. The floor still felt dirty and i swept again and it's as if she didn't sweep just used the swiffer to push the dirt around. She didn't vacuum very thoroughly as there was still white sediment on my carpets, and there was dust from the ceiling fan on my bed. She told me that they bring their own supplies and found that she used up all of my box of swiffer mop pads, two rolls of paper towels, a bottle of cleaning solution, and my duster was full of dust and was not even cleaned out. She didn't leave a note or call to tell me that until i called her about it she said that her mop wasn't adaquate and that she had to use my swiffer (really, a swiffer is better than a mop???!!). She acted like it wasn't big deal. If you say you bring your own supplies why are you using the supplies of the house your cleaning and then still charge full price for your service??? She said that she would come out a second time and catch what she missed. So on the second time around she wiped the wall and counter tops of the bathroom she missed but didn't clean the floors or the toilet and there was still dust on the ledge of the shower. She did get the baseboards she missed before and dusted some of the frames. So basically i had to clean behind the cleaning lady...not good. I wouldn't recommend her as i paid her asking price plus gave her a tip. She asks for cash only, which should have tipped me off. Please get a maid service that is licensed and insured. You might pay a few dollars more but it will totally be worth it... read more

I paid Karen $150 to clean my home as a "deep clean." This sounded reasonable but when I got home it looks like half the house had not been touched. Base boards were still disgusting, it didn't look like the top of anything was dusted, and my chair railing and window sills were still dusty. She was supposed to come back out after I told her about the issues, but claims I never set down a time with her. It was Thursday at 1. I then asked for $75 back since it was obviously NOT a deep clean and after that things got nasty. She may be ok for vacuuming and mopping, but that's about it. read more
