The owner sold me on expectations (i.e., ceiling fans, baseboards, oven, doors, glass shower, everything would be clean). I asked if there was a preference for having someone home during the clean and was told they would rather clean while you're out which was fine. I had tons of things to do. Nonetheless, I couldn't wait to book the services!!! Initially, I was told she didn't have any openings for today. She later returned and said someone could come out to clean on the day that I requested. Oh yea, I forgot to mention that I live in new construction, it's just my daughter and I, and we've only been in the place a year and a half. It's not filthy at all. We honestly could've performed the deep cleaning ourselves and guess what?! This is exactly how it looked when I returned home. I'm beyond disappointed. The owner was very polite and did offer to come out and correct the issue but my trust in what would be done without me being present again went completely out of the window. After several exchanges asking for a partial refund I was sent the following message which I just couldn't accept: "I understand. Unfortunately because I did have a cleaner there and had to pay for the labor I'm unable to comp this clean. Like I said, I'd be happy to come clean it personally, even on a date closer to when you'll be home. I sincerely apologize." My response, "Can you pay the labor and return the remainder?" The refund wasn't even half of what I paid. Needless to say, I'm still on the search for a cleaning company who delivers as promised. I learned a very valuable lesson - Just get up and do it yourself if you have the time, energy, and resources. In this instance, it's okay to be picky. Try out Lilac Cleaning for yourself. On the new date, we were given a 10-12 window, then told the day-of they wouldn't arrive until 12:30. When questioned, they tried to claim a different time window had been given. We were quoted 3.5 hours for a move-out clean in an empty house, but after only 1.5 hours they said it would take 6 hours. At that point, two cleaners had only completed two bathroom sinks and part of a tub. They also refused to complete some agreed-upon tasks without a clear reason. We ultimately asked them to leave. Poor communication, inaccurate estimates, and minimal work completed. Would not recommend.
