Much more reassuring. If the medication is not covered by your health insurance, Sherry would try to work around it making it cost less. Next visit is in may. Have to schedule two weeks in advance. To summarize, Garland Lee, PA, has been treating my blemish over about a month and I can't say enough praise but to write here. The right treatment, superb communication, great office, staff, scheduling, billing, everything has worked out just right. Their honesty, clarity, being clear about billing, and overall thoughtful make this practice a high recommend. To be fair, minor downsides are waiting 10-20mins/visit (they're very busy, get there on time or, better, 15m ahead of time especially on the 1st visit to process the intake paperwork which recurs each time until insurance is successfully billed), not always getting the doctor, not just Dr. Sherry Shieh who's on long term medical leave her many fellow doctors make for confident treatment and knowledge. I know dermatology is either optional or deferrable, but not only did my situation show how preventive care not just emergency treatment can save pain, emotions, time, and money, but the professional standards of the doctors here have made me respect and follow their dermatological medical advice. They took a biopsy and said my results will be ready in about a week. The next morning, I wake up and my rash has spread basically all over my body. I call Spring Street derm MULTIPLE TIMES AND LEAVE MULTIPLE CONCERNED VOICEMAILS AND NO ONE GETS BACK TO ME FOR THREE DAYS. The rash is spreading very rapidly at this point. The only way I was able to get a response from them was to physically show up to the office and demand that Dr. Wu call me at her earliest convenience. Dr. Wu called me back immediately and we set up an appointment for the following day, but no one from her staff had even alerted her of my concerns about the rash spreading. I'm really disappointed in this practice because I feel that if they had returned my calls earlier or taken my illness seriously, I wouldn't be dealing with this insane full-body rash right now. There is truly no worse feeling than dealing with an illness and feeling like nobody cares. This experience has honestly been so disheartening. The two stars I'm giving go to Dr. Wu who was great.

One affected area got infected (I think because of the treatment actually but I don't blame the Dr for that really), so she had to come back and have a small procedure that included numbing some areas using medicine administered by a (tiny) needle. My daughter totally freaked! Shaking, sweating, crying, yelling at one point I'm sure. My 5 stars is 100% because of the way Dr Davis and her assistants handled my freaking out daughter. They treated her with kindness and patience, but also like a patient getting a small procedure done - that is, straightforward, confident, respectful. They explained everything they were doing and answered her questions factually. Dr Davis intuitively knew that "babying" her or brushing off her hysterical questions was not the way to go. She exudes a combination of warmth and professionalism that I appreciate. We will absolutely continue to see her.
