Karen is amazing and worked nonstop to help us out. She compared all different loans and looked at different options for us.

Brian Manning - Brian Manning at Guaranteed Rate

Brian Manning

(21 reviews)

Brian Manning - A Prime Example of Unprofessional, Rude, and Arrogant Behavior…read more My recent encounter with Brian Manning was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a supposed professional. From the moment we began our interaction, he made it clear that he has no interest in being respectful, courteous, or even remotely professional. His demeanor was dripping with arrogance, and it felt as though he looked down on me the entire time. First and foremost, Brian has an unbelievably rude attitude. Instead of answering my questions or attempting to provide any helpful information, he dismissed me outright as though my concerns were irrelevant. Whenever I tried to clarify something or ask for further explanation, he would cut me off, acting like he was too busy or too important to be bothered. It was shocking to be spoken to in such a demeaning tone by someone who claims to be a professional. His arrogance was next-level. Brian acted as though he was the smartest person in the room, belittling my inquiries and making me feel like an idiot for asking what should have been basic questions. Rather than providing clear or thoughtful answers, he seemed to take pleasure in making the process as difficult and confusing as possible. He went out of his way to be vague, and when I asked for clarification, he responded with sarcasm and condescension. What's worse is his blatant disregard for professionalism. At several points during our conversation, he spoke to me in such a dismissive and mocking way that I was left speechless. His behavior was entirely out of line for someone in his position. I can't understand how someone so unprofessional can hold any role that requires customer or client interaction. Brian also seemed entirely unbothered by the fact that he was coming across as rude and disrespectful. In fact, he seemed to relish in it, as if treating people this way gave him some kind of power trip. It's baffling that anyone with this attitude would be trusted to work with others, as he clearly has no respect for anyone but himself. In summary, my experience with Brian Manning was deeply frustrating and left a lasting bad impression. His arrogance, rudeness, and unprofessional behavior make it impossible for me to recommend working with him under any circumstances. He made what should have been a straightforward process unnecessarily difficult and unpleasant. Save yourself the hassle and avoid Brian Manning if you're looking for someone who treats you with basic respect and professionalism--qualities he seems completely devoid of. There are far more competent and respectful professionals out there who deserve your business.

Brian Manning and his team are amazing…read more He was honestly the glue that made our home buying experience a great one. 1. He is super well connected & knowledgeable. We used both the real estate, and insurance agent he referred and had a great experiences with both. As first time homebuyers, there was a lot for us to learn and Brian was an excellent guide. 2. He was very responsive and almost always available. We bought in a competitive market that required quick communication, fast response to change, and a very fast close. Brian and his team delivered on all of these. I highly recommend Brian and his team.

The experiences I had in 2011 and 2012 with another mortgage company made me very reluctant to ever get involved with real estate again. Nothing was smooth or easy and I never felt confident with whom I was dealing with. In 2013, I purchased an investment property and used Crowder Mortgage. The experience was nothing short of remarkable. Jim held my hand throughout the process and was always available to chat and explain what was going on, what he needed and why he needed it (sometimes our chats lasted over an hour!). Compared with the previous companies we used, who spoke on the phone with us for 20 minutes at most the entire time, this was a breath of fresh air. Jim is incredibly understanding, patient and compassionate, all of which are incredibly important qualities for a mortgage broker. The cherry on top? Jim actually came to the closing, even though the closing was an hour north of his office. Buying or refinancing a home is never easy or smooth, but Jim makes the process as painless as possible. I cannot recommend his services enough.

He was generous with his time and thoroughness in setting us right through the process. We felt comfortable each step along the way. My point of contact in CA was kind enough to put me in touch with Jim Bonner and his fantastic team, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the end to end process. Jim took the time to understand our unique experience, explain differences in the lending and closing process between the two states, and respond exceptionally quickly when we needed items like an updated mortgage approval letter late on a Saturday. He kept in close contact at all time, and even made himself available by text for the speediest responses. When it came time to close, his team gave us all the necessary information, and made sure to answer any questions in real time. We closed on schedule, and for what is a large and complicated process, it couldn't have been easier or more painless. I have, and will continue to recommend Commerce Mortgage, and Jim Bonner, to anyone seeking a mortgage lender.

He was also very responsive when we needed to move quickly, and a pleasure to work with. We ended up using a different lender only because we had used them before and had gotten pre-qualified with them first, whereas we went to Calvin for a competitive quote once we were under contract. Calvin offered us exactly the same excellent terms as the other lender, and we would have gotten our loan from him without hesitation if we had not already started the process with someone else. Highly recommended!

This company told me multiple times over the course of the last 6 months that I was cleared to close on a refinance. After I submitted truckloads of documents that detailed my excellent credit and a down payment that well exceeds requirements, I'd hear *crickets* before they came back with a weak apology, and requesting even more information, assuring me that approval was right around the corner, and it never was. Eventually, Neat switched underwriters after several months for no apparent reason and asked me to resubmit and re-certify all my documents again. They then had the audacity to blame me for the loan not working out when I got exasperated! It's hands-down the most painful mortgage experience I've ever had, or even heard of. I've reported them to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Steer well clear of this business.

A perfect storm hit in 2020 when mortgage rates hit record lows, and suddenly Neat's small and mighty team was hit with more volume than ever expected. Although Neat hired and trained new team members as quickly as possible, we weren't able to provide the same levels of service as we did for years previously. Eventually Neat caught up and the industry calmed down, as evidenced by our 5-star rating on Trustpilot. Super proud to be part of this organization, despite our 2020 growing pains!

I am extremely disappointed with Elevation Credit Union…read more My vehicle was repossessed yesterday, and I made a good-faith effort to immediately pay my past-due payments. Instead of working with me or offering any reasonable solution, they refused to accept my late payments and demanded the full balance -- something that is simply impossible given today's economic conditions. On top of that, communication has been very poor. Many times the bank is closed, understaffed, or does not have proper personnel available to assist customers. It is very difficult to get clear answers or timely help when you need it the most. Right now, many financial institutions are working with their customers and offering options during these difficult times. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I was willing and ready to resolve my account, but no opportunity was given. I expected better customer service, communication, and understanding from a credit union that claims to support its members. I would not recommend this institution or do business with them based on my experience. I will also be supporting upcoming laws in the State of Colorado that aim to bring more fairness and accountability to repossession practices, as situations like this highlight the need for better consumer protections. I hope they improve how they treat customers facing temporary hardship, because situations like this only make things worse for people trying to do the right thing.

Their parking lot is huge and there are tons of shaded spots. Don't have time to walk in - use their drive through. There are frequently two staff members sitting near the front door to help guide you to your appointment or teller. Tellers are friendly and helpful (Rosa is my favorite) and their beverage machine is top notch. You can make anything from a flavored seltzer water, to a dove chocolate hot cocoa, to an espresso or tea. The machine actually suggested I ramp up my hot cocoa to a peppermint one - and suggested I add some peppermint tea - how creative. They are highly involved with the community sponsoring outdoor movie viewings and guiding you along through the seasons. Today I saw a map and guide for fall leaf peeping that even included suggested stops for food and shopping along the route. If you are looking for a place to hold your money or request money for a big purchase (ask for Chris Cullen - he's the best loan officer around) definitely check them out!
