I met Dr.Lee from Church Street Family and Cosmetic Dentistry and she is amazing! I need extensive dental procedures done and feared my first one today and all for no reason. Such a great experience. The staff, the hygienists and of course Dr.Lee are fantastic! I know i made the right decision! Thank you all!

The service has degraded, on all levels. You make an appointment, give your ins info, confirm the appt...all set. Then you get a reminder 5 days before the appointment, then about 3 days before, each time I respond yes, confirmed, complete all the pre appointment intake forms, etc...should be all set, right? NOPE. 2 days before the appt., another text to confirm, then the day before they send a text threatening to cancel my appt if i don't confirm by 6pm today. Really? I still kept my appt., went in on time in the afternoon, 1pm est and waited for about 30-40 min for the dentist. I wonder...can I charge him a late fee? Ha... Meanwhile, while in the waiting room...I can clearly hear the employees at the front desk area talking about people once they hang up the phone, it was bad. It was so uncomfortable because I am sure they talk negative about me as well since I am a patient...I mean, why wouldnt they, right? Now to the visit.. He walks in, I'm chatting friendly and he turns around with a needle in his hand coming for me mouth. I swear I instantly had a flash of Steve Martin and Bill Murray in the Little Shop of Horrors movie 'Dentist'! I asked for a numbing gel since I have Very sensitive teeth and am being seen by a Periodontist still but I have to also continue to be seen by a general dentist. When I asked, the expression on his face was not understanding at all, he looked pretty annoyed that I asked. Moving on to perform 3 fill-ins...Never asked me how I'm doing during the work but conversed with the assistant about personal stuff, like where they like to eat...who di what to who at the party...the entire time. I felt un important to him, and almost like he was annoyed to be servicing me. Now, about 3 weeks post fill-ins, I am in pain on 1 side he worked on but I will not make the mistake of going back to him to fix it...what did Bush say? Fool me once shame on you, fool me 2x shame on... hahaha I'm done now, will be switching my entire family to another general dentist. This practice must not want or need our business. I am not the type of person to settle when it comes to medical...anything.

ZERO STARS: A Financial Shakedown Run by Lyanna This is not…read morea dental office; it's a money-focused operation whose sole purpose is to fleece patients. I have never encountered a more nakedly mercenary practice in my life. The single biggest reason I will NEVER return, and the key reason they will lose my business forever, is the front desk staff, particularly the person named Lyanna. Condescending and Unprofessional Lyanna The person running the front desk, Lyanna, is an absolute nightmare. She is rude, dismissive, and clearly views every patient not as a person in need of care, but as a walking ATM. Lyanna is extremely condescending and utterly unprofessional. She speaks down to you, makes you feel like an inconvenience for daring to ask basic questions about their inflated bills, and has an appalling attitude that should disqualify her from ever working in a service-facing role. Dealing with her is so frustrating, it makes you want to cancel your appointment right there. The Overcharging Scam The main issue here is the shocking level of overcharging. They seem to invent procedures and fees just to inflate the bill, and their itemization is deliberately opaque. Adding to the general unprofessionalism, the fact that they don't even have sinks or running water in the procedure rooms should have been my first clue that corners are being cut everywhere but the billing department. Their billing practices are a total scam, especially for an In-Network provider. I was explicitly told my insurance covers 70% of the service, yet the patient amount they demanded from me was somehow higher than the portion the insurance company was responsible for! When I challenged the extortionate bill, the answer I got (likely from Lyanna herself) was an utterly ridiculous and unacceptable: "We don't know how much the insurance company is going to pay until they pay it." This is a blatant lie and a complete disregard for standard in-network fee schedules. It is a clear attempt to fleece the patient for the maximum amount before the insurance even processes the claim. If you want a dentist who cares about your teeth more than your wallet and who doesn't employ rude, unprofessional staff like Lyanna, run, don't walk, away from this place. You'll leave feeling fleeced, frustrated, and thoroughly insulted. Save yourself the headache and the exorbitant bill.

Based on the practice's reputation, I expected a professional and thorough experience. Unfortunately, that was not at all what I received. From the start, I was uncomfortable. Dr. Scotti appeared noticeably disheveled and unprofessional, which was not what I expected from a dental practice with such strong reviews. More concerning, however, was his attitude. He was rude, dismissive, and seemed uninterested in explaining my treatment options clearly. I had used an over-the-counter temporary filling material from CVS because I was trying to protect the tooth until I could be seen. Instead of evaluating the situation professionally, he told me his filling would be "no better" than the inexpensive temporary material I had placed myself at 1 a.m. He also told me that both teeth needed crowns. This was very different from what my regular dentist had previously told me: one tooth needed a filling, and the other may or may not need a crown depending on further evaluation. When I explained that to Dr. Scotti, he responded, "Great, then go see him." That level of dismissiveness was shocking and completely unprofessional. He then filled one tooth, which I understood to be a small cavity, but the work felt rushed and poorly handled. He refused to do any work on the other tooth and said I needed to see an endodontist. I understand referrals can be appropriate, but there was no clear explanation given as to why he could not provide a more complete assessment based on the exam and imaging already performed. The front desk experience was also disappointing. My husband asked whether the office performs gum pinhole surgery, a newer procedure that may be an alternative to gum grafting in certain cases. The front desk responded rudely, asking something along the lines of, "What, did you see that on TikTok or something?" and said it did not exist -- until looking it up and realizing that it does. No one attempted to schedule a follow-up or provide a clear treatment plan. Overall, this was one of the worst dental experiences I have ever had. The glowing reviews appear to reflect Dr. Chew's reputation, not my experience with Dr. Scotti. I would strongly caution anyone booking here to confirm exactly which dentist they will be seeing.
