I was at their Valley Glen, Ca branch on Vanowen st. I ordered beef lule kebab with hummus, basmati rice, fresh tomato, and jalapeño. Plus Arabic bread. My order came out after 15 minutes fresh from their kitchen. Food taste good, And since it was lunch time the ambience was slow. There were only 3 tables filled inside. I orderer the family combo 3 and added some tzatziki on the side. Here are the pros: you get a good amount of food. The combo came with two half chicken along with lula kabob and chicken Lula. There was plenty of rice and it came with hummus ajika and I guess their version of bbq sauce. The two half chickens were fantastic. They were marinated really well and tasted great. I would come back for the chicken 100%. The beef and chicken lula, sorry to say not impressed. It didn't have a beef or chicken flavor but instead a little rubbery feel to it. The tzatziki was bland not wet creamy. The reason I am giving them 4 is because the chicken was really good. They give great proportion for the price and if you want to do a family style they have that covered. The delivery was quick also. A nice, clean and modern restaurant space with an interesting way of displaying prices with commas in their menu (rather than with decimal points and dollar signs). The old female staff member at the counter didn't give the most warm and friendly welcome, but the young server was very attentive bringing the food out/clearing empty plates. The food came out in a timely manner and was presented well. The Lahmajoon was very flavorsome and highly recommended. The Caesar Salad w/ Chicken was decent, although it would be nice to have a bigger portion of Chicken since it visibly looked like yesterdays leftovers. The BBQ Chicken Wrap featured chunks of Chicken covered in a nice Chipotle type sauce. It was presented in two narrow halves with an accompanying cold pepper. Prices were decent. This is the Family Combo #2 that came with chicken, beef, and lamb chops. The food was very tasty, not dry as I expected. It's not overly or underly seasoned, just the right amount. I would have preferably wanted the onions & other vegetables that was under the main dish, on the side so we can easily scoop it out. The humus is just the right amount & is very tasty. I am not sure what the red tomato sauce is but it was an interesting flavor to add. The bread (lavash) could probably have one or two more pieces (you can probably request for more). The only slight con, is that there isn't any luleh (ground beef/chicken), which is what we were excited about. I'm not too sure if you can substitute or add-on, so maybe next time I'll ask. Also the tomatoes and onions, I normally see them on a skewer that are added to the dish, that's also another thing we would have liked (maybe offer this option?). All in all, I recommend this restaurant. Staff is friendly, food is very tasty, is easily accessible, and a great addition to the neighborhood. read more
