Very little communication or updates over a full year. Waited until 9 days of deadline to formally file and withdrew from my case. Stated that opposing attorney failed to respond to any communication that was sent And it just wasn't worth their time. We should have been notified sooner of the his so we could have had Time to hire another attorney. read more

I worked with The Kaplan Group for more than six months while navigating a challenging employment situation, and I consistently felt well represented throughout the process. My initial intake was with Austin Kaplan, who was exceptionally knowledgeable about the law but, just as importantly, provided clear, real-world insight into what I should realistically expect. He was direct, fair, and accurate in managing expectations, which helped me make informed decisions without feeling misled or overpromised at any point. Andrew Eckhaus and Madeline were both excellent to work with. They were responsive, thoughtful, and thorough, and I always felt that my questions and concerns were taken seriously. Their guidance was practical, well reasoned, and grounded in a strong understanding of the law. I also appreciated how easy it was to schedule meetings using their online system--it was efficient and respectful of my time. The firm's compensation structure felt transparent and fair, and I never felt pressured or price-gouged. Overall, I felt treated fairly and professionally from start to finish. The Kaplan Group demonstrated strong legal expertise, sound judgment, and a clear focus on serving their clients' best interests. I would recommend them to anyone looking for experienced and principled legal representation. read more

Thank you very much your help, Austin Kaplan. Through the hard and relentless work from you and your team, we were able to come to a very favorable resolution with the opposing counsel and party. I highly recommend Austin Kaplan and his team. Unfortunately prior to engaging Austin Kaplan, I had hired a previous attorney from a separate firm. The other attorney was unreliable, did not return messages weeks at a time, was unethical, and was not helpful. The other attorney disappeared after I paid him a big retainer. However when I hired Austin Kaplan, he was a godsend compared to the previous attorney. He took over the case and got us on track immediately with the case. Austin is smart, prompt, very wise, extremely nice, gives good reasonable counsel, and he bills very ethically (unlike my previous lawyer). Thank you again for all your help, Austin. I consider him a great attorney and a friend now. It makes all the difference in the world which attorney and firm that you pick. Go with Austin Kaplan and his team. I will recommend him to all my friends and family. I would use him again in a heartbeat. He is worth every penny and more. read more

I can't say enough good things about Andrew Eckhous. He helped me through one of the most difficult chapters of my life - from the first call, he made me feel heard, supported, and - somehow - even made me laugh. He's smart, steady, honest, and incredibly sharp. But what really stood out to me was how grounded and real he is. He never missed a detail, always kept me in the loop, and never once made me feel like "just another case." He's strategic, accessible, responsive, and he genuinely cares. If you're looking for someone who knows what they're doing and really cares - Andrew is the real deal! I can't recommend him highly enough. read more

My issues were not complex, but I needed an attorney to look over two agreements to be sure I was covered with my prior employer. It was important that I understood the agreements and have someone on my side since my employer had an attorney. The process to set up the appointment was so easy and transparent. I was able to view all the attorneys, their fees, and availability. Then I selected an attorney, scheduled my meeting which was the next day, and paid for the hour. I then connected with Tanner. She had reviewed both my documents prior to our meeting, was prepared, went over the language, answered my questions, took the entire hour, and provided valuable guidance. I felt so much better after our meeting knowing that I was covered but also knowing that if anything didn't go as planned, I had her to connect with again. The best part was that this law firms helps anyone whether it's a big case or not and even if it's just to review documents without having to pay a huge retainer. What a great experience since I have not had to do this on my own! Thank you!! read more

No, I would not recommend Kaplan. I paid several hundred dollars for SEVERANCE AGREEMENT NEGOTIATION help, and because I didn't have a multimillion-dollar (insert Federal Association you would like) lawsuit, I was asked to reschedule my appointment with another lawyer, (first attorney I paid over $700 for and was personally recommended to me by a previous VP I reported to for years; so I trusted the connection, "cancelled"), then landed in a zoom call with an attorney who wasn't even concerned with my severance agreement! He was only interested in knowing random current regulations that may have been noncompliant under the (insert Federal Association you would like) while I was employed at the said employer. IF I WANTED THAT COURSE, I WOULD HAVE PROVIDED THE ESSENTIAL DOCUMENTATION, motivation etc. to ride that bronco. I paid for severance NEGOTIATION and wasted hundreds of dollars, time and didn't even get the help I requested and PAID FOR because well, reverse ROI. Kind Regards, Hard working professional who has been wronged. Severely. read more

During a time when I was unfortunately reviewing a severance package, I was fortunate to be referred to Kaplan Law by a friend in the legal profession. I chose to work with Andrew Eckhous based on both his area of practice and his very high ratings on review sites such as Avvo. I am so glad I did! Andrew was thorough in his review of the package and offered expert guidance both on finer points of the legal terminology as well as in answering the many questions I had. In Andrew, I found an empathetic champion who helped me to evaluate my options, was honest about potential areas of success, and who continuously followed up until the matter was closed to my satisfaction. If you should find yourself in need of employment advice, please consider working with Andrew Eckhous - you will be glad that you did. read more

Being wrongfully terminated while on workers' compensation was devastating. In my search for a lawyer, I spoke with 37 attorneys, all of whom acknowledged that I had a strong case. However, only two had the capacity or schedule to take it on. Most of them seemed to put a price on my pain, suffering, and ultimately my life. One lawyer requested a large deposit upfront to continue, which sadly I did not have, but that was not the case with Maff at Kaplan Law. Instead, he asked for a substantially higher percentage of the settlement than standard. Throughout the process, I felt he marginalized all my issues except for my unpaid overtime and suggested we settle based on that alone. It seemed he was more concerned about how my former employers would feel about the lawsuit than my own feelings or well-being. My wrongful termination in retaliation to my being one workers compensation, my pain, suffering, and crippling depression were valued at less than time and a half. If you're okay with settling for less and don't mind feeling undervalued, Kaplan Law might be a suitable choice. However, if you don't want to be taken advantage of, keep looking. I never found the right lawyer, but I believe my life is worth more than time and a half. This experience taught me that even when the law is egregiously broken, unless you are wealthy or willing to be taken advantage of, you might as well be left in the lurch. read more

No one ever WANTS to retain the services of an attorney, but sometimes it is necessary. After an unexpected RIF at work, I needed an employment attorney to review my severance agreement. Austin Kaplan was referred by an attorney friend, and their prices were more than fair for a consultation. Before my scheduled discussion, I met with a paralegal and sent all my documentation. Maff took the time to review my severance agreement and non-compete before we met. I did not feel like he was just learning about it on our call. He listened intently to my questions and concerns and advised me on my options for the best possible outcome. Working with Maff and Austin, I had confidence in signing a severance agreement I was comfortable with. If you find yourself needing to protect your employment interests, I highly recommend Maff & Austin at Austin Kaplan Law Firm. read more

This firm came recommended by another attorney, which practiced something different than what I needed. I had an employment issue, which my case was pretty difficult to prove in texas. This was the only law firm that agreed to take my case. They were confident in what they could do and delivered! I worked specifically with the attorney Andrew, but the firm really works together as a team is the impression I got. From the very initial phone call into this firm, every single person I encountered, from my intake call to the final agreement, was professional, compassionate, and kind. Communication and timely responses are a strong point for them. They truly made me feel like they were on my side and not just because I was hiring them. I would definitely recommend this firm if you are a need of an attorney. 10/10! Thank you, Andrew & Kaplan Law Firm! God bless y'all! read more

Andrew Kaplan and his team were absolutely incredible. I lost my job due to a disability and Andrew made sure that I received the "fair treatment" I deserved after everything my former company put me through.
