Excellent food and great portion sizes! Truly want to give it 5 stars but wait time is long even when I order ahead. It also smells super weird inside like gas station floor cleaner. It's overwhelming and almost ruins my appetite. And I think the sign on the door is a little rude. Something about if you're sitting out on the patio you need to check on your food because they won't bring it out when it's ready. That's poor customer service IMO. How hard is it to bring someone's food out or at least holler their name? Isn't this a restaurant? I almost hate that I love the food so much! I wouldn't accept that lack of service from anywhere else but the dang food is sooo good. Yum. read more

Holy moly! We LOVE Lucky's donuts....and Kao's is just as good! So happy to have a place like this closer to our house. I have a feeling we will be regulars here. Went in and ordered a simple bubble tea. Took 25 minutes with only two other patrons in the establishment. When I finally got my "bubble tea," they handed me a frozen fruit smoothie instead. I didn't have another half hour to wait for another, so I took it and left. Won't be going back, I'll stick to Lucky's. read more

Today three of us went to lunch. We had the grilled chicken pate sandwich, the grilled chicken salad, and the shrimp and chicken spring rolls. This is a fantastic new restaurant in downtown Elkhart. The food is super fresh and made to order. The spring rolls were so light and crunchy that I order some to go for my wife. The service is awesome every one is smiling. This was my first time coming here and it's safe to say I'll be coming back again, friendly and helpful customer service. Atmosphere was very calm and not many people eating in but definitely had customers in and out quickly. I ordered the mango chicken with fried rice and a passion fruit tea with mango boba and must I say the food was flavorful, fresh, and delicious! The chicken was lightly breaded and coated in mango sauce, by itself it was sweet savory and filling. The fried rice was soft and just so well seasoned, all the together the food just harmonized and made for a great meal! Now for the tea, perfection. Sweet, creamy, and just delightful. This place is the definition of scrumptious. My family and I ordered takeout here tonight and we all ordered larges of our meals. There was so much food that each of us will have at least two meals with our leftovers. We ordered spring rolls to share. The peanut sauce that it came with was so sweet that it had me licking the lid to get every drop! I ordered the pad thai and it was very flavorful with great texture and color. I did add sriracha because I love spicy food but it was flavorful enough on it's own. My dad ordered the jalapeño garlic chicken with rice and it is the best rice in town according to my dad. It was definitely on the spicier side but still tasted incredible. My mom ordered the pineapple fried rice and it was very refreshing and sweet. We have so much food left over and we are so excited to eat our leftovers! My dad is grateful he doesn't work downtown or he would have it everyday for lunch. There are many other things on the menu that I would love to try. This place has easily become a hometown favorite after just one experience. Best Asian restaurant in Elkhart county by far! Been here on a few occasions. It's nearly a half hour drive from my house, so I don't have the opportunity to dine here as much as I'd like. They are well worth the drive, though. I have tried their Drunken Noodles, Mi Cha, Mango Chicken and Rocket Shrimp, and they were all very delicious! Portions are more than plentiful. I always get the medium size, and I'm ALWAYS taking home leftovers. They are very reasonably priced. Most medium menu items are a mere $8. You'd expect to pay much more for quality food such as this so, it's a great bargain! Friendly service every time. Professional ran business by professional people. Well worth the wait! My favorite dish is the spring salad with pork! Always fresh even though it may take a few minutes wait!

It use to be around til Coronavirus hit the news suddenly close down and had a terrible waiter who was rude to me riding me around town in hides spots when I know the family pictures and people very nicely who use my photography.. bye love the food but hate how disappointing I get to be without friends who ignore someone's special needs thumbs down to a drug and drink driver too who left there car door open right Infront of the place too. read more

Had the Shrimp Pad Thai and the fried dumplings for lunch on Monday. Dumplings were good. Sauce that was served with it was super salty. Pad Thai was watery and didn't have much flavor. Good portion sizes for the price. Probably won't try it again. read more

Kao's is a must try if you like Asian food. The pork spring rolls are delicious - I especially liked how the pork is well cooked and even a bit crunchy. Gives it quite a bit of flavor. They give you two dipping sauce options, which is thoughtful as well. Wonton soup is a solid choice if you're looking for something simple, plus the dumplings have a a nice ginger flavor. Jungle fried rice is awesome. Spicy enough to satisfy and good flavor. Especially like how they slice their pork, it's not cubed like you might find at other places. Rocket shrimp and taro spring rolls are both tasty and the dipping sauce is great too. When ordering take out they put them in brown paper bags which is AMAZING. Nothing worse than getting home (after smelling the delicious aroma the whole car ride home) to discover you've got soggy fried food waiting for you. My only complaint is the $3.50 up-charge if you want to do a combo of meats in a dish, instead of choosing just 1 meat. I don't know if they add more meat (which I wasn't expecting or anything), just seems a tad steep for a little variety in the same dish. However, their prices are overall quite reasonable especially considering their portions. Will return again. read more

Been there a couple of times for lunch while at work (mango chicken) and I brought home panang for myself tonight for dinner tonight and I have been really pleased every time I have been here. The ingredients are fresh. The veggies are cooked perfect, they have just the right amount of crunch. The sauces are flavorful and well balanced. I also recommend getting the spring rolls.
