We had the Thai deep tissue massage for an hour $100 each. It was so relaxing! Jasmin and I believe Heather? were the ones who helped us. They were so good and even did a consult beforehand to see which areas we wanted to focus on the most. The massage included the use of oils and also stretching. The pressure was perfect, they kept checking to make sure we were happy with it or if we needed lighter or deeper pressure. We were so happy to have found this place. Customer service was great, they were so welcoming, friendly, and best of all the massages were amazing! Pro tip, they are inside a building and you have to be buzzed in. Plenty of paid street parking available. Also bring cash because there is a charge if you use a credit card. The Transformation Pedicure ($65) is the best in Victoria because they do them while you are lying down so that you can rest or even nap while your feet are being transformed. Another reason is because of the professional, attentive care from the estheticians, all trained at The Aveda Institute. Aveda-trained professionals stick to meticulous sequencing and procedures every time and you will notice it at any spa, even in their stress-relieving foot massages. For $15 add on the paraffin wax treatment to the pedicure, and you will also get a relaxing hand and arm massage while your feet take in the heat and benefits of the paraffin. Last year I enjoyed the Escape spa package for over three hours of bliss as a birthday splurge ($285 - hydrotherapy, massage, exfoliation, facial, mani and pedi). I had a 30-min break in between treatments so I sat in the lounge and had hot tea and snacks. I was so relaxed and felt so pampered. Then Karla came to get me for the Fire & Ice treatment. She first scrubbed my whole body to get rid of dead skin, she wrapped me up like a cocoon, she used hot stones, she gave me the best facial that I ever had (I had many in the past), using cool gels and a couple of cool & tightening masks, she checked my pores, she put this thick gel in my hair and scrubbed/massaged my scalp. It was bad enough I had to cut back on dog walks (out Doodle was not happy with this). Reviewing the medical literature I found out there was a minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of my condition. After multiple phone calls to clinics offering dermal fillers (mostly for cosmetic procedures) I found the practice of Dr. Anna Sylwestrowicz, MD . The office was very accommodating with my unique inquiry and agreed to meet with me just to discuss my diagnosis and treatment plan. One of the most vital requirements for a good medical outcome is a solid 'Doctor-Patient' relationship that starts with an open and frank discussion. I found my conversation with Dr. Anna (as she prefers to be addressed) to be all a patient could ask for. We jointly came up with a plan, discussed the various dermal fillers on the market, her experience with their use, possible outcomes and hoped for outcomes. I agreed to the procedure. Three weeks before the start of my hike, Dr. Anna injected my left heel pad with dermal filler. The procedure itself was tolerable and I walk out of the office with an order to 'take it easy' with my walking. For the first 5-6 days I was sore at the injection site but that was too be expected. After a week, I restarted my daily dog walks (much to the pleasure of our Doodle) and gradually increased my mileage. On April 23rd, 2026 I found my self hiking south on the Appalachian Trail from the small village of Damascus, Virginia. I was planned on keeping my daily mileage under 20km while carrying 15kg of pack. At that point, my heel was pain free. I hiked for a month pain free. I ended this section of the Trail in the very tourist town of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This was a distance of 400km-pain free! Considering the pain, I was in prior to the injection of dermal filler this was a remarkable medical outcome. I am very, very pleased. As for the future, there are 333km left for me to complete.
