When I input "James Bay" and pressed Get directions - nothing happened. All that is created in an orange-brown theme on every page... Request an appointment is equally terrible to look at - long windows for info to be filled... When you get to "Wigs & Hair Prosthesis" under Products, you would expect to see various photos of wigs...but not here. There is none, not one photo. My hair has been thinning for awhile. I've tried everything to fix the way it looks. I used Rogaine for a long time until it started burning my scalp. I've tried hair pieces. I've tried using tinted dry shampoo. I've tried microfibers you sprinkle in your hair. Nothing was really the answer, because even if I could get it looking mostly ok, I'd always have to take a shower and wash it out and then live with myself at home looking bald. So, knowing it was going to be expensive I decided to at least reach out and see what could be done. Google turned up MM Seattle with the five star rating and how could I go anyplace else? I'm so glad I found Minela! Here are some things to know: She's super cool but totally chill and easy to talk to. Do not be intimidated by how cool she looks! Her studio is clean and bright and welcoming. It's not a spa like some places and it's not a tattoo parlor, either. She is passionate about covid protocols. The large windows are open and there is an a/c vent blowing right in your face, which means she's not breathing directly on you. I was afraid it would be challenging to get there from Renton, or to find it, but it was neither. Just thinking about going on the West Seattle Bridge and navigating around that area gives me hives but it turned out to be really easy to get to. There isn't a lot of parking but once you get used to the layout, I never had trouble finding parking in the area. And, of course, there is the result! My hair has never been thick but in the last few years, it's been THIN. You can't see the dots at all, even though the overall effect is a full head of hair. I can put my hair in a ponytail or wear it down with a part. I can make a part anywhere, which is extra cool. So yes, it was expensive, but it was for me, and my only regret is not doing it earlier. If you have thinning hair but you're not completely bald, I wanted to make sure you have a picture for reference because when I was looking for examples, I only found one picture of long hair. Shortly after my last review I was contacted with an apology masked by many excuses. These excuses went on ad nauseam and at length via email and text. She originally offered to come back to my residence for another touch up to fix the problem areas. Initially, my thoughts were that I absolutely did not want that because I wanted to be done with her services. After thinking it over I agreed since I was not happy with the final product and needed my brows touched up still. Quickly after I agreed to this she contacted me again suggesting a full refund. This solution seemed like a win/win and that way I could take the refund and get a touch up elsewhere with a new artist. Well, she dragged the refund promise on and on and on. Eventually it seemed like it was going to happen and she sent me a screenshot of the refund. It never came and then she tells me another story and excuse as to why she can't refund me now. Included in all these correspondence is more personal details about her and her families troubles. I am just so over this entire ordeal she has involved me in since April!!! Beware is all I can say. Earlier this week I saw a new artist who touched up my problem areas beautifully. The experience was like night and day in regards to professionalism and skill. I was given adequate after care instructions this time and my brows now look like they should have in the first place. All at a fraction of what Jessi charges.
