If there were a -5 * that's what they would get to do from us. They sold us a damaged product. We never knew because it was wrapped in plastic and so there was no dented box that showed a dent. Only cardboard on top and bottom. When I got the item home my husband unwrapped it and measured it to be sure it would fit under our long cabinet. He never lifted it or saw anything wrong with it. He saw it would not fit, so we wrapped it back up and returned it. Tried when I got there they did not want to even deal with me on a return. Ignoring me . Then the woman said we have to check and be sure it's not damaged. well that would go with out saying. She also asked me if it had been installed I said no.. my husband measured it and we need a smaller unit in hight . She then lectured me on why they like to install to go over measurements. I told her my husband is electrician and he does that work all his life.
Then a guy went out to my car with a dolly and left it there 10 minutes later someone told me my car was locked and they couldn't get it my reply was "why didn't someone tell me?" I went to the car opened it and waited for someone to come but to no avail they stood back and talked and watched me as I lifted the microwave out of my car and pot it on the dolly. When they saw me doing that they came. Then as they rolled the dolly back the woman said "we have to check this for damage" !!!
againI said go ahead no problems! I went back into the show room and waited. The woman came back in and in a very loud voice said "we can't take that back, it's damaged and missing screws" I said what! She said do you want to see? Yes I want to see when I looked at the microwave it had a dent in middle side on the underneath . I took the item home and let my husband know he called and spoke to owner . He informed my husband that their policy is to not take back damaged goods. But had we said it was damaged they would. We returned because it was a 17+ " microwave and we needed a 16 1/4 because of space between my cabinet and stove. I truly believe they knew it was a damaged item when they sold it to me or their service would not have been so dysfunctional to say the least. Only one customer and three people to give customer service and it took them 45 minutes for them there is no question I. My mind be very cautious when it comes to Kane's appliances
Thier reply was they checked for damage ...... NOT When you don't in stall them! Or they would have seen this. A small town family owned Business should know better than to pull a fast one on a community member for over 30 years.
