Food was not great and menu options were limited. I don't think I'll be back just simply on food and price, for the quality of food

Very good quality fish. Authentic Japanese sushi. Not your typical Americanized sushi restaurant go if you like authentic Japanese.

The pressed sushi was easily the highlight of the meal. It had an amazing balance of textures and flavors, with just the right amount of sear and seasoning to let the fish shine. It was one of the best versions of pressed sushi I've had and something I'll definitely order again. We also had several fresh rolls, and every one of them was excellent. The ingredients were fresh, the portions were generous, and nothing felt overcomplicated. The focus was clearly on quality, and it showed in every bite.

I'm usually not a roll type of gal. love nigiri, sashimi, and chirashi bowls -- raw fish is my go to, but for a quick lunch in between meetings this was the perfect savory bite. I wish there was more! I did find myself hungry still after a whole order of the roll so keep that in mind. The portions are small and felt more like a snack but it still satiated my hunger and the yuzu sauce was a surprisingly tasty touch. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out and I'll probably do another review once I try their nigiri!

I actually showed up on a Friday afternoon just before 5 pm around 4:45 and put my name down. Around 4:55 there was easily 15-20 people outside the door who had been on the waitlist. We all fit into the first seating at 5 so no sweat there. There was even an open seat next to me that was filled by a drop in a few min after opening. The sushi- so.freaking.good. I love how generous they are with the portions and it was seriously tasty. The bluefin tuna + caviar was to die. I'm not even a sashimi person but I saw this and was like I want THAT. I had one and then immediately asked for a second one! The spicy tuna rices cakes were awesome, there was so much spicy tuna mix on it that it nearly broke my rice cake after the first bite. Then the Shibuya sea bass roll-YUM. Look at that stack on the roll. As crowded as it was, the service was excellent. My only regret is getting full. I'll be back to try the rest of the menu!

Charming place, tiny but with efficient and experienced service so everything comes out fast. Huge rolls and nigiri. Doesn't feel as expensive because of the generous cuts of fish. Everything is tasty and I end up ordering more than I should given the large portions but no complaints. Sweet shrimp is exceptional as well as their crispy rice. The stuffed squid was good but I would ask for the eel sauce on the side because the crab mix is also sweet, so the sweetness can be overpowering. I don't recommend the ikura bc of the heavy sake marinade but you may feel differently. The ikura has been the one and only item I wouldn't get again. Everything else has been fantastic. This is an entirely different experience to sugarfish. Shibuya is willing to make dishes to your taste, so if you don't want something on a particular dish or you want a special dish not on the menu, just tell your server. Everything can be customized which I really like. Sugarfish by comparison is extremely simple and utilitarian and has a factory quality to it that Shibuya is the complete opposite to. They really shouldn't be compared. If I'm low on time and didn't plan well enough, sugarfish is a reliable spot to get adequate sushi without the preplanning and waiting, but shibuya is a superior experience, imho. Happy eating!

The establishment is kind of hidden in the corner next to the shell gas station and there is ample parking. As I was walking towards the front, I see a sign stating that they have a happy hour starting at 1 o'clock and it was 1259 so I was very excited to see what this look like especially for it being my first time here. This meant that I get to try a lot of new things and a lot more things. There is about 10 to 15 tables inside with different amounts of seating and since it was just my boyfriend and I and the lady gave us the choice to sit wherever then we chose a table with two seats but, had us move to the next one because she said that the two seat ones were for single people, especially because it was lunchtime. She refused to let us sit at the two person table ‍. We got several menus and a pencil with an ordering paper. She took our drink order and we started to explore the vast menu and it all looked great! (I love when they have pictures on the menu apart from descriptions) After she brought us waters, I asked her if the special menu was considered the happy hour menu and she said it's not happy hour yet and I said yes it is 1 o'clock and she looked at my boyfriends clock on his phone and apologized and brought the happy hour menu. I included the receipt so you can see that 4/5 rolls were happy hour pricing. The sushi chefs were 2 Hispanic men and the reason why I mention this was because I feel like most of my rolls had this "chili powder" that resembled Tajin on my rolls and that's what they called "spicy" half my rolls were supposed to be spicy tuna but the tuna itself was not spicy they just had this Tajin-like powder on top and to me it wasn't spicy at all and I also felt like it made those 2/3 rolls taste bland. My bf loves deep fried rolls so he opted to try the magic mtn and he loved it and I think I enjoyed the spider roll the most. Even the spicy tuna on the crispy rice was just regular tuna with no spice. We still thought it tasted good but we will maybe give it another try with different rolls next time. They have a punch card if you spend $50+ after I think 10 you get a free speciality roll. The chefs gave us a parting remark and we thanked them upon leaving for lunch. Our server was a little more cold but kudos to her for handling the whole restaurant by herself in an efficient manner as our food came out quick and we got water refills and she checked in on us while serving 5/6 other tables all by herself.
