Under the previous owners, the food, service, and overall experience were consistently excellent. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. The first thing I noticed was the food safety rating posted on the window, which simply stated "Okay." That immediately raised concerns. The second thing we noticed was how empty the restaurant was on a Saturday. There were only three other couples dining during our visit. This place used to be packed, which was never a good sign to see. After being seated, service was noticeably slow. It took about 15 minutes just to receive our drinks. We ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, Korean Chicken, and Hot Wings. The Pad Thai was overly saucy and lacked the flavor we were accustomed to. The Hot Wings portion was surprisingly small, especially for the price. What ultimately ended our meal, however, was observing an employee eating in the open kitchen area while also handling items behind the counter. Watching this occur while customers' food was being prepared was extremely concerning. Whether intentional or not, it appeared to be a serious food safety issue, and it made us uncomfortable enough to stop eating immediately. At that point, we asked for the check and left disappointed and unsatisfied. It is unfortunate to see a once outstanding restaurant fall so far. The high standards of food quality, customer service, and food safety that made this place successful do not appear to have been maintained after the change in ownership. We won't be returning.

They hold against the teeth the way good noodles should. The broth comes through, then the pork, and then the marinated egg with its dark, quiet flavor. It is more authentic than the ramen you buy at the Asian grocer and take home to make yourself. There is something different about a bowl made by someone who knows what the bowl is supposed to be. The room was not what you might imagine when you think of ramen. It was somewhere between a teriyaki place and a sandwich shop. The building was full of businesses and the room belonged to the building. There was nothing wrong with that. A man does not need much from a room when he has a good bowl in front of him. The waitresses understand this. They come by often. They look at the table and see what is needed. Water. Another thing. Anything that is not quite right. They take care of it. That matters. The burger was good, he didn't quite care for shoestring fries and the nori flakes didn't provide much additional flavor for the fries. Overall the calamari was good and the sake was good.
