Overpriced! Sushi texture is mushy not crisp! Disappointing! Staff is friendly & ambiance soothing! Wasabi not as spicy!

Some of the fish definitely not fresh, service very standard. You are much better off going into town and get your Japanese meal there.

You don't need reviews for Japanese cuisine. The proof is in the details of the preparation and if a picture is worth a thousand words, this could be a long review!! (It won't be) Like most sushi bars, there's one set of fish (excellent) for those who order combinations and menu sets, and another higher level (this one LIFE CHANGING) for the connoisseur. Be ready for $$$$$$ and don't look back. EPIC Black cod with poached kumquat Miso soup Nigiri served one piece at a time Flash-flamed unagi and tataki nigiri Chef's soy brush. No need to add anything. Just devour and weep. I was after the maguro. BUT Staff is dedicated to attending the bar, the phones, and chef. Main dining tables are largely forgotten or unattended. P.S. Wanted one more visit to confirm issues with dining room service were or were not a fluke but Coronavirus has me grounded in USA!

I was invited by a friend of mine and visited in early July. This place is amazing !!! The fish they use is imported from all over the world with best source available and they are so fresh. They also pay close attention to plates and other utensils they use. Overall, I am so glad to find this authentic Japanese Sushi restaurant in Geneve.

If only we had stopped to wonder why the name of this restaurant has "bento" in it. The pre-made sushi packages are uninspired, so the only decision you really need to make is the size. The medium-sized portion for I believe CHF13.50 seemed like the most bang for your buck. We took our plates to the little seating area in the back, where they have somehow managed to transform a fairly small area into a spacious dining area with plenty of seats. As we sat and talked over our cold hard sushi, our eyes were drawn to the diners at our neighboring tables, who had somehow managed to score bento boxes and hot steaming bowls of something or other. As Mindy H. noted, sometimes you feel like you miss out on things around here, just because you don't speak French. The sushi was standard, to put nicely. It wasn't stale, it wasn't bad, and both of us did finish our entire tray. It tasted basically like the pre-packaged sushi you would get at a grocery store. And similar to a grocery store, you shouldn't buy sushi here unless "sushi" to you constitutes a single category of food with no sub-category or variation, and you literally just have a strong craving for "sushi," with little regard to taste, quality, or type of fish. On our way out, we realized that there were framed menus all over the place advertising their warm dishes. Despite the very mediocre sushi, I would go back just to assuage this lingering regret at not having spotted the menus sooner. Stay tuned for update, and hopefully, Yelp-star upgrade!

My stomach was screaming the words, What IF, at me as I walked out of the bright white sushi establishment. The answer to that question, will have to be answered in the near future. I definitely am interested in trying their Bento or curry options available only after 6pm. As for the cold sushi, it looks beautiful, and appears to be made of different food items, but it all tastes the same. I have to say it was a bit of a bummer, as the Eaux Vives location at lunch had fresher tasting prepacked cold sushi. At least I can taste the difference there in the sushi I am eating! If you do get the prepackaged items, note that at this location they come already with soy sauce and Wasabi inside the plastic tray, don't pay for extra, unless you actually want it. The space itself was clean, very white, and bright, definitely more spacious than the Eaux Vives location, and the staff more friendly. Also, if you are here after 6pm, definitely order new hot items, don't go for the prepacked hot items, I know from previous experience at the other location, that the prepacked hot items, are a disappointment.

I had wakame salad (very good), vegetarian uramaki and kappamaki. Rice and veggies were fresh and tasty. With water just under 30 francs, which, looking at other sushi places around, seems pretty good for Geneva. The interior is nothing of note, nor is the location. Outside seating is definitely a plus in the summer but the restaurant is on a busy street. In short, if you care about friendly service and good staple sushi for everyday, Misuji is a good option. While I was there, several regulars walked in and people picked up take out, too. NB: If I remember correctly, the current interior does not resemble the one on the photo on Yelp.
