"Mr. Kamchi" and his daughter are amazing, and this is our go-to restaurant in the area. While Lalo's Mexican is good, and Vitalle's is just busy and nothing special, this largely take-out place is an experience. There are a few tables, but the food itself is why people go. And it is amazing, whatever spice level or "authenticity level" you like. The noodles and rice dishes are ridiculous in complex flavors and portions. And if fusion is your thing, you're in luck. Don't be afraid to try something unique and just know it will be fabulous. Just be sure to save some for us because we'll be back soon! read more

Absolutely disgusting the sauce taste like a cheap gravy that you would buy for putting on mashed potatoes. And the meat, not much in the dish and it was so chewy I had to spit more than half of it out.. this is the second time I came here and got that dish thinking it was a different place so it's consistently disgusting. read more

Great food, excellent Pho, and very nice people. Have eaten there and enjoyed take-out service as well. Highly recommended!

Stopped in for lunch with my wife and daughter. The service was very friendly and he quickly sat us at a booth and grabbed a high chair for us. There were a few other tables having lunch so he was pretty busy the whole time. He came over and explained how the menu worked and how most things could be made into a combo, which included a soda, crab rangoon, and egg roll. We ordered edamame but it never showed up, but he didn't charge us for it either, even though he definitely wrote it down. I ordered the Thai Szechuan lunch combo and it was pretty good. It was pretty heavy on the sauce which made all the rice soak it up but other than that, it was pretty good. All of our meals came out so hot that it took awhile to cool down and eat, which was great! Overall, friendly service and tasty food. Price was reasonable and the portions were large. We didn't have high expectations but we left happy. read more

When it's fresh, it's good. It's not fresh half the time. Inconsistent quality but, reliably fast and courteous.

The service was fast and great! The food selection was so large it was hard to choose. I ordered the Tom Yum Ramen Soup and it was so full of flavor and tasted so fresh. Will be back to try many other dishes! read more

I ordered from Grubhub as it seemed to have a lot of positive reviews and reasonable for delivery considering the inclimate weather. Yelp also has this rated pretty highly, but this was a bit of a miss for me. I ordered chicken pad Thai and chicken drunken noodles. Both have distinct flavors that I am looking for and expecting and they missed the mark for me. I almost thought they mixed up the order and gave me pad see ew instead of drunken noodles. It usually has a basil like flavor and spicy kick and neither of that registered with me. It was pretty disappointing and will have to look into other better Thai options. read more

SUMMARY: Food was tasty enough, everything was a bit dry, service was pleasant. More like 3.5 stars than 4. We ordered: Orange chicken Masaman [their spelling] curry beef Pork fried rice Everything was a bit dry. The orange chicken was overcooked. The pork in the fried rice was overcooked. Even the white rice was a bit dry. It's possible this is because we picked up our food close to closing time, but that only really explains the dryness if they are cooking stuff ahead of time and then letting it sit out. Which is quite possible, because our order was estimated to be ready in 10 minutes. The orange chicken uses a very different kind of orange chicken sauce than what you're used to. There isn't the vinegar or tang that your normally get with orange chicken, and instead of orange peel, there are pieces of what seems like canned oranges. It's not at all bad, just very different from what you'd normally expect. The masaman beef curry was very lacking in beef. The curry sauce was tasty enough, and I appreciate the large amount of sauce you get with the dish. But when I spend that much on an entree, it should make the beef the main thing, not an afterthought. The pork fried rice was fine. Better than a lot of places where you just get some yellow rice with peas and carrots. As I mentioned above, the pork was overcooked and dry. Not as good as Beijing Kitchen's friend rice. When we arrived, our food was sitting on a table in a large open room, not being kept warm at all. Overall, if this is the closest place to you, it's fine. It's a dollar or two less per item than some other places, as well. And the food was ready quickly. That said, I do hope they up their game. Dry food that's sitting out to get cold is something no restaurant owner should be OK with.. No reason not to come here again, but we'll probably keep exploring other Chinese takeout in the area, since there also isn't a reason to keep us coming here. read more

A nice new alternative in Ada for Thai, Chinese, or Korean. You can turn any of their entrees or noodles into a lunch combo with a crab rangoon, egg roll, and a drink! Crab Rangoon: Nice and crisp but too sweet for my taste. I did love having the sweets and sour sauce in squeeze bottles! Peanut Noodle: I loved the big button mushrooms and the veggies. Tofu was firm and holds up nicely to the sauce. I prefer the flavor of the peanut curry noodle at Little Bangkok which is sweeter and this one is more salty, but I did finish every bite :) My friend got the Pad See Ew and said they liked it better than Little Bangkok's. Spice Level: I had heard it's spicy. I tend to eat Medium spice and got scared off, so I ordered mild. Either way, a nice place to eat in or carry out from. Seemed like there was only one person working - serving, cooking, everything, but we didn't have to wait too long for food. I would bring my family back to try different dishes. read more

Haven't had a bad experience yet! This place is absolutely amazing. If you like spice, this food is TASTY. We love that it's close to home, and the food is SO worth the money. So pleased with my Thai Fried Rice (with chicken, medium spice). Plenty for dinner, and lunch tomorrow read more

We can't wait to go back!! My boyfriend got the general's chicken and I got the vegetarian fried rice. My boyfriend said that was the best general's chicken he's ever had. He got it level 3 spicy and he did not anticipate it being as hot as it was but he loved it. My fried rice was made perfectly and had a lot of flavor! We can't wait to try other items on their menu! read more

We ordered food for the whole family for a special celebration dinner: - Pad Thai - Thai Sichuan Rice Noodle - Massaman Curry - Drunken Noodles - Cashew entree We thought the pad Thai, Sichuan and curry were delicious - the others were just okay. I have had a lot of Thai before and really highly recommend this place! read more

Review is based on takeout, and I have to say our entrees were really good. I got the pad see ew with chicken, and my husband got the sesame chicken. I was a little unsure when the menu states they make the best sesame chicken, but It was really good. We'd both order it again. My pad see ew was really good and would recommend it. The portions are a large size. They have a good selection of rice and noodle entrees and can select your spice level and protein. Didn't order this time around, but will order one of their flavored boba drinks. A good (and dangerous) option for carry out or order via grub hub when you select order online from their site. read more

Dude, I LOVE their food. I've gone twice and both times they did a fantastic job. Their kimchi is so dang good, the perfect spice level and perfect crunchy pieces. I've had the ramen, gyoza, and pad thai, which are three of my favorite dishes to order in general. The ramen was perfect, if you don't like spicy this is not for you though. The pad thai was done right, the shrimp was very perfectly cooked and I didn't have to peel off the shells like most places. Overall great place, and you get exactly what you pay for. Highly recommend read more

This is one of my families favorite restaurants. We usually eat here at least once a week. The food is always fast, hot, and delicious.

Still really good. The meat quality and quantity in each item is very good. As before, any spice level you think you want, take it down one notch :) Also note: Daily hours now are 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We still do just takeout but they have indoor seating right now and seem to be taking proper Covid precautions (masks, distancing, etc.) read more

Best Pad See Ew in the city by far. Crab Rangoon was also good. I have had a hard time finding decent Thai food in Grand Rapids, so this place was a pleasant surprise. I will definitely return many times! read more

The food is delicious however the restaurant itself is extremely dirty. The blinds are covered in dust and spider webs, the tables are sticky and the floor is covered in filth. We will not be back as I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. read more

So happy to have good Chinese near us! Egg rolls were crispy, not greasy. Everything was piping hot and delicious! I got the Cashew Chicken with steamed rice and definitely recommend it, lots of vegetables and big chunks of chicken. My husband enjoyed the General's Chicken and my dad got the chicken fried rice. We got take out and it was ready quickly. We'll be ordering from here again! read more

Enjoyed takeout dinner from Kamchi tonight! The egg rolls and hot and sour soup were amazing! Egg rolls were fresh and super crunchy but not greasy. We also enjoyed the red curry chicken. The pad see ew was just ok - wish it had more eggs and sauce/flavor. Overall we loved trying this new spot and we will be back! read more

We dined in once and had carry out once. When we dined in, the service was quite slow, but the food was very good, particularly the egg rolls and Tom Yum soup. The noodle dish was a bit gummy and nondescript. We got carry-out the second time to dodge the poor service. That worked: the food was ready in ten minutes as promised. The Pho (soup) was good. The Szechuan Chicken was beyond bad. I swear the vegetables were mushier than the ones that come out of a can of La Choy supermarket slop. Leftovers went straight to the trash can. This is still a new place, and it deserves a bit of time to get its act together. I hope it lasts that long. I love a good egg roll. read more

Best Pan-Asian fare in the city inside a clean, welcoming environment. The pad see ew was as flavorful as it was plentiful. Definitely worth a return visit. read more

What a great replacement for the Chinese place that had the space previously. Totally updated interior, very contemporary and clean. Menu has a large variety of choices: Thai, typical Chinese dishes, noodles, soups, apps. We wanted to try a variety of items so started with egg rolls (totally fresh ingredients, lots of tasty veggies) and pan fried potstickers (again, can taste the fresh herbs and spices). Wife had pad Thai--excellent. She got level 2 spice...it was noticeable! Wouldn't want to try level 4 ("fire"). I had Tom Yum Ka soup. I'll repeat myself--the basil, cilantro, cherry tomatoes, scallions are all really bright and fresh. Can't imagine they use freezers or microwaves here. Took half the pad Thai and soup home--very generous portions with plenty of chicken in both. So glad to have a new, fresh, and affordable place nearby. read more

We went the day after opening and super excited to have another option for dining in Ada. We started with the kimchi appetizer. Tons of flavor and heat!! We then ordered a veggie hunan dish and red curry. Both were very good. Large portions and super fresh. Perfect spice. Hot was hot and medium was medium. Our only wish would be too have a veggie only egg roll. read more

I'm happy to update my review, after a complete reversal from last time. The place is still spotless, and we were immediately greeted and shown to a table. We placed our orders and the food came quickly. My husband had the drunken noodles, which he said were great. He asked for extra basil, the way he likes, and it was perfect. I had the Thai fried rice with beef, medium spice. It was the perfect amount of heat and very flavorful, and the quantity of both our lunches was enough to take home for dinner. It seems like my first experience was growing pains, and I wish them continued success. read more

I love the tomyum soup! It's amazing! The prices are a bit steep though. They also close randomly on a regular basis. Which stinks because we live a ways away and my kids love going there. And when their business hours don't seem to be consistent we have to go find somewhere else read more

We have been here twice now & love it! My boyfriend is obsessed with their food. We are always served very quickly and the portion sizes are big....which means yummy leftovers. :) The vegetables are fresh and the noodles are great. Please check this place out! read more

Big improvement over the restaurant that used to occupy this space. I had egg rolls and combination fried rice. They definitely provide enough of a portion so you'll have leftovers. The people i ate with ordered daily custom dishes to adhere to their dietary needs. They commented on how tasty their meals were too. The restaurant appeared clean and is bright inside. I'll come back here in the future read more

The interior is very nice and inviting. The gentlemen who showed us to our table (maybe the owner?) was very friendly. We were the only ones there at 2:30 and excited to try this new restaurant. We ordered the Kung Pao chicken and Bulgolgi beef lunch combos, they serve them until 3 pm. It comes with a protein, rice or noodles, drink, wonton and egg roll. Unfortunately the waiter brought us out regular meals?? We were really confused since we ordered the combo and were looking forward to a smaller portion and trying the other items since it was our first time. I don't know if it was the language barrier, but we voiced our disappointment to him. He did nothing to make it right and charged us almost $35 for a lunch that should've only been $25 or less. If there would've been some effort I would go back, since there wasn't I think I'll go elsewhere. Very disappointing read more

We ordered takeout. Fast and efficient. Food packaged very well. Greeted by a very friendly gentleman. Ordered chicken szechuan and drunken noodle with chicken added to it. The chicken in both dishes was super tender and juicy. The drunken noodle was a little too much noodle and not enough sauce and definitely needed more veggies. But I love my veggies and there never seems to be enough for me. All in all a good dish still. We both got spice level 2 which is medium and it was a bit too hot for our liking. First time is a time for learning . Next time ... and there will absolutely be a next time...we will know how to order the spice level we like. We also ordered egg rolls and fusion rolls. Both were very good! Cannot wait to try more stuff! Very grateful to have this amazing place so close to home. Glad they are able to stay open during these hard times!
