Thai Szechuan Lunch Combo
Kyle V.

Stopped in for lunch with my wife and daughter. The service was very friendly and he quickly sat us at a booth and grabbed a high chair for us. There were a few other tables having lunch so he was pretty busy the whole time. He came over and explained how the menu worked and how most things could be made into a combo, which included a soda, crab rangoon, and egg roll. We ordered edamame but it never showed up, but he didn't charge us for it either, even though he definitely wrote it down. I ordered the Thai Szechuan lunch combo and it was pretty good. It was pretty heavy on the sauce which made all the rice soak it up but other than that, it was pretty good. All of our meals came out so hot that it took awhile to cool down and eat, which was great! Overall, friendly service and tasty food. Price was reasonable and the portions were large. We didn't have high expectations but we left happy.

The service was fast and great! The food selection was so large it was hard to choose. I ordered the Tom Yum Ramen Soup and it was so full of flavor and tasted so fresh. Will be back to try many other dishes!

Chicken Bangkok Drunken Noodle

I ordered from Grubhub as it seemed to have a lot of positive reviews and reasonable for delivery considering the inclimate weather. Yelp also has this rated pretty highly, but this was a bit of a miss for me. I ordered chicken pad Thai and chicken drunken noodles. Both have distinct flavors that I am looking for and expecting and they missed the mark for me. I almost thought they mixed up the order and gave me pad see ew instead of drunken noodles. It usually has a basil like flavor and spicy kick and neither of that registered with me. It was pretty disappointing and will have to look into other better Thai options.

Pork fried rice. Overall good, but the pork was quite dry.

SUMMARY: Food was tasty enough, everything was a bit dry, service was pleasant. More like 3.5 stars than 4. We ordered: Orange chicken Masaman [their spelling] curry beef Pork fried rice Everything was a bit dry. The orange chicken was overcooked. The pork in the fried rice was overcooked. Even the white rice was a bit dry. It's possible this is because we picked up our food close to closing time, but that only really explains the dryness if they are cooking stuff ahead of time and then letting it sit out. Which is quite possible, because our order was estimated to be ready in 10 minutes. The orange chicken uses a very different kind of orange chicken sauce than what you're used to. There isn't the vinegar or tang that your normally get with orange chicken, and instead of orange peel, there are pieces of what seems like canned oranges. It's not at all bad, just very different from what you'd normally expect. The masaman beef curry was very lacking in beef. The curry sauce was tasty enough, and I appreciate the large amount of sauce you get with the dish. But when I spend that much on an entree, it should make the beef the main thing, not an afterthought. The pork fried rice was fine. Better than a lot of places where you just get some yellow rice with peas and carrots. As I mentioned above, the pork was overcooked and dry. Not as good as Beijing Kitchen's friend rice. When we arrived, our food was sitting on a table in a large open room, not being kept warm at all. Overall, if this is the closest place to you, it's fine. It's a dollar or two less per item than some other places, as well. And the food was ready quickly. That said, I do hope they up their game. Dry food that's sitting out to get cold is something no restaurant owner should be OK with.. No reason not to come here again, but we'll probably keep exploring other Chinese takeout in the area, since there also isn't a reason to keep us coming here.

A nice new alternative in Ada for Thai, Chinese, or Korean. You can turn any of their entrees or noodles into a lunch combo with a crab rangoon, egg roll, and a drink! Crab Rangoon: Nice and crisp but too sweet for my taste. I did love having the sweets and sour sauce in squeeze bottles! Peanut Noodle: I loved the big button mushrooms and the veggies. Tofu was firm and holds up nicely to the sauce. I prefer the flavor of the peanut curry noodle at Little Bangkok which is sweeter and this one is more salty, but I did finish every bite :) My friend got the Pad See Ew and said they liked it better than Little Bangkok's. Spice Level: I had heard it's spicy. I tend to eat Medium spice and got scared off, so I ordered mild. Either way, a nice place to eat in or carry out from. Seemed like there was only one person working - serving, cooking, everything, but we didn't have to wait too long for food. I would bring my family back to try different dishes.

Thai Fried Rice

Haven't had a bad experience yet! This place is absolutely amazing. If you like spice, this food is TASTY. We love that it's close to home, and the food is SO worth the money. So pleased with my Thai Fried Rice (with chicken, medium spice). Plenty for dinner, and lunch tomorrow

General's Chicken

We can't wait to go back!! My boyfriend got the general's chicken and I got the vegetarian fried rice. My boyfriend said that was the best general's chicken he's ever had. He got it level 3 spicy and he did not anticipate it being as hot as it was but he loved it. My fried rice was made perfectly and had a lot of flavor! We can't wait to try other items on their menu!

Pad Thai Noodle, Kimchi

Dude, I LOVE their food. I've gone twice and both times they did a fantastic job. Their kimchi is so dang good, the perfect spice level and perfect crunchy pieces. I've had the ramen, gyoza, and pad thai, which are three of my favorite dishes to order in general. The ramen was perfect, if you don't like spicy this is not for you though. The pad thai was done right, the shrimp was very perfectly cooked and I didn't have to peel off the shells like most places. Overall great place, and you get exactly what you pay for. Highly recommend

When it's fresh, it's good. It's not fresh half the time. Inconsistent quality but, reliably fast and courteous.

Hong BBQ and Hot Pot - Hot Pot Food

Hong BBQ and Hot Pot

There are a few Korean BBQ/hot pot places in town now, which is super fun and a great dinner option…read morefor a group or a fun date. The space is large and decorated nicely compared to the other spots I've been. Our group of four had a bit of a wait (10 minutes) when we arrived around 6:30 on a weekday. They seemed a little understaffed and were only utilizing a small part of the whole restaurant for seating. Our friends are regulars so they guided us on ordering and mixing up our sauces, which was really helpful. Our server was super kind and went through the menu options with us. It's all you can eat and they'll just keep bringing out more items throughout your time. Our server was really good about checking in with us. For hot pot you choose your own broth flavor for your personal hot pot - I went with the Szechuan which was spicy and numbing. I really liked it! Nate got the mushroom, which he said was just okay. I'd recommend starting with a bunch of items all at once. The meats are very thin cuts and cook quickly in the broth. We also got an assortment of veggies, dumplings, and my favorite, the udon noodles. The menu gives cooking times for each item which is helpful. Your price includes all you can eat hot pot or Korean BBQ - you can do both for an extra $6 or so. I honestly think I prefer hot pot to Korean BBQ, it's a little easier and more forgiving of a cooking method. I thought the options were nicely varied, and you get access to the sides/dessert buffet, with salads, kimchi, chicken feet, fries, egg rolls, etc. and the sauce bar that has tons of options! They also have a full bar and serve sake, soju, boba, etc. I really loved this spot and thought the service was by far the best of the hot pot places I've visited in the area.

Pros: gorgeous restaurant, good meats, good sauces, no time-limit, and FINALLY -if one person at…read morethe table gets hot pot, not everyone has to get it! Only the person that wants it will be billed for it. Cons: hot pot is pricey, but prices are the same as other restaurants. Not as big of a selection of appetizers/hot food bar compared to other restaurants. If I did Hot Pot, I would likely choose this place. It's gorgeously decorated, our waitress, Anisia, was so lovely, attentive, and helpful -and the food was delish. It's different from other restaurants in that it didn't have a 2-hour time limit and if my husband wanted hot pot, I didn't have to pay for it as well. The only downside is there wasn't as big of a selection on the cold/hot bar. But everything else was great and it is my new preferred location!

Had a bit of a wait to sit (about 30 minutes), but once seated service was quick and very attentive (got refills without asking, was kind and curteous). I had the Filet hibachi dinner which was nice and tender and about perfectly cooked - pretty incredible for cooking 4 at the same time (for my group and the other group we sat with) to different levels of doneness. My 10 year old said the fried rice was the "best rice she's ever had" - and it was pretty tasty I agree. The show the chef put on was great - it's pretty loud with the clanging and antics from the various chefs, so I'd suggest only going if you're in for an interactive and loud night. Look forward to going back in the future, I loved it!

Guess that's why on the menu they sell in a pair of 2. Upgraded our meals from white rice to fried rice. Fried rice was great with the little piece of egg that I love, just wish they could've added tiny pieces of carrots or peas in there- but I get it, there's Veggie Fried rice on the menu for a reason. Sesame chicken and Cashew Chicken portions were huge! Mom was happy with her cashew chicken. However, this sesame chicken wasn't quite for me. It was tender and not chewy like some places, but the sauce was a little sour and not as sweet as I like it. I've gotten sushi here before too and didn't have a bad experience. Would come here again.
