I have been recommending Dr. Kam Dental Care for over 30 years. A lot of my colleagues ask for a good dentist and I always share his information. It's a great dental office with an amazing supportive staff. I always appreciate the above and beyond that happens here. And my favorite part is you feel like part of a family. My brother drives two hours one way to still see Dr Kam. No other dentist like him. And his sister Cheryl, and the AMAZING Chavonna in the front and all the amazing dental hygienists are BEYOND Awesome people too. read more

I have been a patient of Kam Dental Care since 1997 and I could not be happier with the service I receive. Dr. Curtis Kam, Irene (Dental Hygienist), Chavonna (Office Manager), Melanie (Dental Assistant) and Shaunte (Receptionist) and the entire Team have been incredibly professional, friendly and very attentive to my needs. The office is always neat and clean, it is equipped with the latest technology which makes each visit comfortable and efficient. Dr. Curtis Kam always takes the time to explain any procedure and ensures that I am comfortable with what he is doing prior to starting his work. When needed he has referred me for Orthodontic care. What sets Dr. Curtis Kam and his Team apart from some other dental offices I've used in the past, is the genuine care shown to their patients. They are meticulous in their work, paying attention to detail to ensure the best possible outcome for their patients. Since I began using the services of Kam Dental Care, I have felt supported and that I am in the hands of qualified professionals. The staff at Kam Dental Care are to be equally commended. Chavonna and Shaunte are front and center, greeting clients with a smile. Chavonna is the best at troubleshooting any issues I may have. In the 27 years I have been with Kam Dental Care I have only had a hand full of issues that Chavonna quickly resolved. Irene is always waiting with a smile for my cleanings. The staff is welcoming and accommodating, making it easy to schedule and complete appointments. I would like to thank Dr. Curtis Kam and his amazing Team, for always delivering outstanding service and a wonderful patient experience. I highly recommend Kam Dental Care for your dental needs. read more

I couldn't be happier with this office. Dr Curtis is always on time, explains what he's going to do and is extremely gentle. He did 5 fillings on my teeth and during the procedure I almost fell asleep. I like how he takes his time at looking at the X-rays and explains what he's looking for. Also had a very good experience with the dental hygienist who was thorough, gentle and on-time. And the front office staff (Maria & Chavona) is always smiling, they remember your name and so helpful. I waited till I visited this office 5X before writing a review because I wanted to make sure I got a complete feel for this office. I've finally found a practice that I believe is honest, competent and demonstrate excellent patient care! read more

I was referred to Kam Dental Care about 12 years ago. I had been to 3 different Dentist Offices since I first got Dental insurance. They were all horrible with customer service! Always had to wait a significant time after my appointment, I would get "Sales" people with offers for services and products (so annoying) NOTHING like that at KAM!! They are always punctual on time for appointments. GREAT work, great work ethic, no sales pitch. Conservative with any work that needs to be done. Since I've started going my parents now go to them and they love them as well! Thank you for taking care of my teeth!! read more

I am writing this review as half my face is still numb from my deep cleaning.... Our entire family has been coming here for over 20 years and we cannot imagine going to another dentist! It is a small family practice. Their staff is friendly and they do an excellent job. The office itself is older and they don't have fancy equipment, but it doesn't matter because they do quality work. They're no nonsense; no bells and whistles, just great honest work. When I first started seeing Dr. Kam, my teeth had a lot of issues. My last two dentists did such a horrible job, that just about everything had to be replaced. Every filing and crown was replaced over a period of 2-3 years. I was a fixture in that office, making a visit just about every two or three weeks (no kidding!). With the help and hard work of his staff, I'm only having to visit about two or three times a year for regular cleanings. Every referral has always been to other awesome dental specialists. They really know their stuff! The drive to Long Beach from South Orange County is about 33 miles and takes about an hour (if we're lucky as traffic is always HORRIBLE!!), but for us, it's totally worth the trek because we know that whatever they do, they will do it right. In fact, the majority of the folks in my office go to the same dentist that's located just around the corner. We have considered switching to that dentist or possibly someone closer, but we probably won't do it. After all, why would anyone want give up a good thing? Thanks, Dr. Kam (and everyone else), for the awesome work and for keeping us healthy! read more

I have been going to this dentist for about 10-years now. Time sure has flown by. It does seem like time has stopped for everyone in that office, though. Everyone doesn't seem to be aging in there. I've had many many procedures, and my wife is a regular now, which says alot because she hates dentists. All of the work we've had has been of great quality. I've been to dentists where fillings fall out of my head after a year. Not here ... everything's been stuck in my head for some time now. I read one other comment on this dentist complaining about not giving prices over the phone ... that's a lame review .... prices are pretty standard across the board. You get what you pay for, and if you're looking for a cheap deal, you're not going to get the same quality of service you can here, at Dr. Kam's. One example of how their service goes above and beyond; had a dental emergency this weekend with my wife. Dr. Sheryl responded to a message I left on their emergency line, kept calling back until she got ahold of me, and was very responsive on a Sunday trying to get proper pain meds subscribed. She even offered to come in the office and give a shot to my wife. The cool part about all of this is that Dr. Sheryl isn't our regular Dr.! Dr. Curtis is! If you want a dentist you can trust, and have quality work done for the next 10-years, or so, try them out. They also give excellent referrals. You can bet when they refer someone that you can also trust the specialists they send you to. I could write about 20 more paragraphs on how great they are, but most people will have stopped reading already. Just trust me, they're awesome!! read more

Omg! This dental office is a breath of fresh air! From the moment you call to the completion of your service, everything is so wonderful. No long wait times ever and the staff is so thorough. They greet you when you enter and leave and make sure to follow up for upcoming appointments. I'm SO glad I stumbled across this gem of an office. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Sheryl (and once Dr. Curtis) since they took over Dr. Wong's practice. About three months ago they moved to 3816 Woodruff. Dr. Shery does my cleanings since I have sensitive gums, she has gentle hands! read more

I've been coming to this dentist for over 20 years! I love coming here because my dentist (Dr. Curtis) is nice, sincere, helpful, and honest. This is in addition to doing great work. Appointments can be easily made with the office staff, who are very helpful. read more

Dr. Kam have been nothing but helpful and kind. My son and I had to switch dentists and have nothing but good things to say about the Kama!

If you are looking for an affordable, honest and friendly dentist, go to Dr. Kam ( Curtis, Sheryl is the sister, whom I've never had work from). I'm pretty sure he accepts most basic dental plans, and does very good work. I'm going next week for my 6mos teeth cleaning, and his dental hygienist is super friendly, and does an excellent job as well. The office may not be "state of the art", but at least you know your money isn't going to a 50" plasma TV in the waiting room that has subscriptions to every trendy magazine known to man, like some of these other crooks that call themselves dentist. No frills, just solid dentistry. Go see him already! read more
