We had a terrific dining experience over Labour Day weekend. Our server JP was fun and attentive, and all of his recommendations were good. The piña colada (zannana on the menu) was complex, not too sweet, and perfectly boozy; the mezcal-forward Last Word Caribéen was also yummy. We ordered several tapas and split the jambalaya. Highlights of our meal included the ceviche, roast pork, and trout confit. Kamúy is a great place to treat yourself if you're visiting or an elegant but hip date night in the heart of downtown.

I was lucky enough to visit this great restaurant before confinement and I can't wait to go back! Although the wait was a little long to first get served, the rest of the evening was just perfection! Kudos for the affordable and delicious wine list. Make sure to try their yummy cocktails! Great selection and interesting mixology too. As for food, we decided to try the tapas menu and got to experience a little of everything the restaurant has to offer. The food was delicious, flavourful and well presented. We couldn't pass up dessert either! Luckily this restaurant is offering takeout so make sure to check them out!

Margarita and corossol colada

Just wandered in on a Saturday evening. Went during Grand Prix weekend and while we didn't have a reservation we sat at the bar. The bartender and hostess were lovely and attentive. The craft cocktails were very good we sampled many from the menu. Every dish we order was great! Definitely one of the best meals we had while in Montreal for the first time.

Good caribean food, tasty, not too expensive. Not a daily food thing, but good once or twice a year

Still 5 stars!!!!

I got myself an oxtail plate and an extra side of plantain The plate came with oxtail, rice, salad and 1 piece of plantain, it was abitt disappointing that they only give you 1 plantain so I was happy that I had ordered extra side of plantain. The oxtail on the other hand was really good. This is the perfect place to grab a fast bite, I noticed that they already had the food pre prepared and put in those hot metal dishes. I'm guessing they prepare everything the morning off. They had so many things on the menu that I would like to try next time

I went for lunch after reading about it as one of the top Cheap Eats in Montreal. Took the metro, got off at Plamondon and walk about 3 blocks to the restaurant. There is a set of steep stairs to get to the restaurants, so be aware of that. I walked in and saw the menu on display on a digital screen, so I approached the register saying that I wanted a goat dish and some rice...the guy said, you would be better off getting the plate, which comes with plantain (1), salad and a tuber side...so I said, sure. The food was very nice...the goat was tender and well seasoned.... a bit salty for my taste but definitely good tasting. Only one lone plantain on top of the cup of seasoned rice. Nice staff.
