She handled absolutely everything from the decorations (which included beautiful real flowers), to coordinating the DJ, hosting the event, organizing video and photography, and even making sure everything was cleaned up at the end of the night. Where do I start? Well let me share that hiring Martha was one of the best decision we made as planning our wedding. My husband and I were in need of a decorator for our outdoor ceremony and reception. I almost did not hire Martha due to a review that I saw here on Yelp. But I decided to take my chances after having a one on one conversation with her. Martha, she gave us an amazing deal that we could not refuse! Everything included Ceremony decoration, reception decoration along with all floral that was needed (including bouquets) , centerpieces, cake table, sweetheart table and she went out of her way to fulfill a few request of mine. Martha and I met a couple of times after we had hired her. I created a folder of the decorations I desired and I must say I was not disappointed! Of course knowing what I wanted made it easy and not changing everything last minute. Our wedding coordinator mentioned to us that working with her was a breeze and made the day easier. I hired Martha for my daughter's 15th birthday (quinceañera). She was professional and timely with everything. She delivered everything she promised and surpassed our expectations. My wife and I were looking for a wedding planner for about 6 months. Once we did some research we found Martha on Kalatita Eventos and we saw some of the decorations she had made before. We were impressed with her work and the way that she handle everything. We decided to get a package with everything except the music. She and her team were really professional. We started doing payments about a year ago because we were going to pay for everything without the help of anyone and she gave us receipt for every transaction. Most of the payments were done by bank transfers. We got a package with the venue, invitations, catering, waiters, photo & video, decorations, cake, etc. Everything came out how we wanted it. We received a lot of compliments about how everything was. The cake was awesome, food was exceptional. I really recommend this event planner if you need any event. If I could give this business 0 stars, I would. My experience with the owner of this business was horrible. She is not professional at all and doesn't respect her own contract. I found this vendor online, and met up with her to discuss party planning packages for my wedding. I have a venue but was in need of someone to help me decorate the place. My fiancé and I met up with her to discuss the packages and services that she offers, and she was very friendly and convincing at first, which is why my fiancé and I agreed to hire her, but she turned sour fast! We left a required security deposit and agreed to mail monthly payments. She called me a week before the payment was due insisting that I deposit the money to her bank account. I told her that I would send her a check through the mail, because I needed to make sure I had proof of payment. I mailed her the check before our first payment was due and called her to let her know that the payment was on its way. I asked her to please inform me once she received it and she agreed to let me know. The day that she received the check, she called me and said that she could no longer assist us the day of the event because her business partner booked another event on the same day as our wedding (there was never any mention of a business partner, or third party; there were no additional names on the contract, but her own). I kindly asked her for my deposit back in full and she went on an angry rampage yelling at me over the phone about how I'm a rude and horrible person for asking for my money back. She claimed that she "worked" for the money and "deserved" it because she took time out of her day to show us the packages that she offers, she even went as far as blaming me for her business partners getting on her case for signing a contract with me. She didn't let me speak at all and hung up on me. She refused to return my deposit back and left me having to look for an event planner at the last minute. From start to end, she made my daughter's Quinceanera dreams come true. We had ~375 guests and thanks to Martha and her team, it was exceptional. They worked very hard. I hired her for decoration of a hideous hall with multiple pillars in the center of it. Maybe the hall itself was not the best of places, but she spoke of it like she could transform the place. She kept insisting on payment before finishing. I asked her to show me an example of how she could fix pillars, and she said she forgot. She told me she would come at a certain time and she didn't. I paid her before seeing the finished product, expecting she would deliver, but, sadly I was disappointed. Her props weren't as classy as I would have liked. So my wife and I were recently married in August 2017 and we used Kalatita Event planner services and we were very pleased by the efforts and professionalism we received from Martha. I am very picky and careful about investing my money and at first I wasn't sure about using the service but my wife had been recommended and wanted to use the service as her first choice, I can say we were not disappointed. Wedding planning can be extremely stressful on a person and can be very overwhelming/ time consuming, Martha helped my wife feel at ease and gave her confidence that everything would go exactly as my wife dreamed. What felt like would take years to plan Martha was able to set up in a few months and went off perfectly. Martha gave us several packages to choose from that were decently priced. She is very flexible when it comes to scheduling meeting and setting up things the way you want them done. She has a lot of knowledge about the wedding planning world and how expensive it can be, but also she knows how to cut some corners and save you some money. Services you think wouldn't cost that much (photographer, dj, driver, catering) all are very expensive and the numbers pile up, I tried to get some of these services myself for cheaper and was really surprised at the cost of some of this stuff. But Martha also knows several people that can provide these services for a really good price. She found us a venue for the reception (300 people) that was beautiful, the decorations were awesome, the setup for the band was great. My wife was center stage at all times as a bride should be, and she had an amazing time, truly the wedding she wanted. I hate attention but to tell you the truth i had a great time, Martha was able to make sure things were running smoothly at all times. Things I was worrying about before the wedding were non- existent the day of. Martha was always quick to return my wife's phone calls whenever we had questions, Her picture and video package is awesome, we received a huge picture for our family room that looks really awesome. She's a straight up fraud! We hired her to do a quinceañera in a backyard, we paid her over $5000 to take care of the decorations, take care of the flower arrangements, table/chair set up and set up a back drop. She did ha half-ass job with the decorating, draping, set up and did the bare minimum with everything in between. She was professional in the beginning, we were able to have a preview of the food, table set up and arrangements but come to the day of the quinceañera, she shows up late, didn't finish decorating, wasn't able to deliver the dessert we asked for for the dessert table, didn't deliver the pool decorations, and had the guest rearranged as they came in. The set up was wrong and it was honestly embarrassing to us and our family. We felt robes and regret hiring her and her team. What's worse is that the memorize of that day was pure stress of her not delivering what she promised. Her work that day doesn't compare a bit to the pictures on her instagram or Facebook. read more
