The project involved constructing an eight-foot retaining wall, performing significant excavation work, and completing the final grading and seeding. The work area was difficult to access, but John handled every aspect of the job with professionalism and expertise. His pricing was fair, communication was excellent throughout the project, and he was reliable and courteous from start to finish. We've already referred JD Baldus Hardscape to other homeowners looking for similar work, and we wouldn't hesitate to use John again or recommend him to others. Highly recommended.

I spoke to my local company that recommended John for landscaping (because they asked how he did). Once I told them about the issue, they took his business card and threw it away and stated thats not the first time they have heard this. Then I was in Mattawan Landscape supply looking at their hardscape options. When I was talking to the owner he pointed over to a contractor that he says does great hardscape work. He pointed to John. I informed him that John has not returned any of my calls, even to just say the project is too big for him or he does not have time. He never answers his phone either so you are always leaving a message. I am very reasonable about timing. I can have someone start tomorrow or a few months from now. I know these guys are busy. To completely ignore a potential customer shows lack of professionalism through my eyes and brings great concern to the actual project if he struggles to communicate on the front side. Are there any landscapers out there that would like a complete landscape job or even a few filler jobs?

I originally hired Pure Lawn Solutions to mow my lawn and found out they do so much more…read more In addition to mowing, these guys did an amazing job power washing years of green buildup off my siding. Right now, they're tackling some much-needed landscaping cleanup--laying new fabric, sifting debris out of the river rock, putting it back neatly over the new fabric, and reinstalling the edging. If you're looking for two hard-working guys who do excellent work with lawn care, landscaping, and power washing, hire Cody and Josh with Pure Lawn Solutions. Fair, honest pricing and results you won't regret.

Josh did a quick assessment, later looked at the weather forecast and he and the owner Cody came the next day, hours before snowfall. My lawn looked amazing. I was incredibly grateful. Recently my snow blower wouldn't start. Well, just like my leaf situation I needed my snow removed before it got packed down too much and before another snow fall. Pure Lawn did it again. They have definitely won over my business. My snow covered driveway was clear. These are great folk. They do what they say they are going to do. The quality of work is second to none.

The owner, Cameron, used to be a mechanic, and auto body worker, so in addition to his lawn services and snow plowing (both of which we have used, successfully), I would imagine you could also use him for mechanic's services. His integrity? Well, last winter, when he was plowing our driveway, he accidentally backed into the right rear corner of my car, which was parked outside, creating a significant dent. RIGHT AWAY, without hesitation, he told me about it AND offered to repair it at no cost (which he did, once the weather warmed up a bit). Looks as good as new. Now THAT is Integrity! I have a feeling he hasn't advertised a whole lot, so you may not have heard of this company; I urge you to give him a shot for lawn care, snowplowing, and maybe even car repair. He's a good man.

Juan's company removed two extremely tall tree from my neighbors back yard. While they did an…read moreexcellent job the bobcat driver, my observation, was in too much of a hurry. There is approximately fifteen feet between my home and the neighbors. Bobcat drivers job was to remove all the large and small limbs dragging them to the front of the property. Where they either mulched them or load the huge ones into a truck. Neither the bobcat driver nor his coworkers trimmed the long branches prior to removal. (Trying to draw a picture with words.) A lot of them were almost fifteen feet wide. This resulted in coming VERY close to ripping of the downspout on the front corner of my home. They did rip off the eavestrough that carries rain away from the foundation. And knocked over my waste and recycling containers. They did pick them up and reattached my run off gutter. If they had trimmed the wide branches ... Now, this happened both days (2) they worked. Personally, if it happened on day one then on day two I would have the brain function to change up my approach. But nope. They never knocked on my door to ask permission to enter my fenced yard to clean up their debris. So I went out and cleaned up. Day two as they were cleaning up I went out and cleaned up their debris from my yard. Giving it to them to dispose of. The bobcat driver job approached me and said they would clean it up. I pointed out that they didn't on day one so why would I think they would on day two? The customers yard was cleaned up each day. I also brought to his attention the fact that he came close to ripping off my downspout. Twisting it by about thirty degrees.

A Truly Exceptional Contractor -- Valiant Contracting Earned My Full Trust!…read more A backed‑up sewer drain forced me into a complete bathroom gut and remodel -- the kind of nightmare project no homeowner ever wants to face. From the moment Valiant Contracting stepped in, the stress lifted. Their quote process was straightforward and refreshingly honest, with no fluff, no pressure, and no surprises. What set them apart was the control they gave me at every stage. I chose every fixture, every material, and even where each item was purchased. Zach, Aaron, and Justin treated my home with respect from day one. They were consistently polite, considerate, and professional -- the kind of crew you don't mind having in your house. The workmanship was outstanding. They moved quickly without cutting corners, and the final result looks and feels like a high‑end custom build. Even after we decided to replumb the shower and a sink to PEX -- a smart recommendation from Zach -- the total cost still came in far below the other quotes I received. Valiant Contracting is the rare company that takes real pride in their craft, and it shows in every detail of the finished bathroom. I recommend them without hesitation or equivocation. If you want a contractor who communicates clearly, works efficiently, and delivers exceptional quality at a fair price, this is the team you want on your project.

Kurt was amazing to work for at first…read more At first. We had him put a new roof and gutters on our house. And after going through the misfortune of unemployment and making the difficult decision to sell our house to move to a state with more jobs, we asked Kurt to replace a bathroom window for us so we could get the home up to code. He quoted us and said he'd get it taken care of right away, and we called back to pay him and set up an installation date only to be ghosted. He completely ignored us after saying he'd take care of the window and providing a quote. We didn't have any issues with him and everything seemed to be going fine, so we were surprised and disappointed. This seems to be a pattern with him as others have stated here and on his Google reviews. If it wasn't for our amazing real estate agent finding a company for us to work on the window after we had already moved, we would have had issues getting our new buyer approved for the sale. We were happy with the work we did have done on our home however, I can't recommend Kurt or his company as he's inconsistent, dishonest and unresponsive.
