Came in on a Sunday with an appointment at 3:30pm. Unfortunately they were EXTREMELY understaffed. Only two workers with four clients. Therefore you can only imagine how quickly they did my pedicure. Girl grab a glass of wine , sit down and enjoy this raw, unedited and honest review. My sister and I had been recommended to this place by her best friend. Our first visit went well. Smooth. We laughed, chose our colors & were assisted with kindness and a good regular nail clean up. But wait... the second time was a totally different story. We called in advance to schedule an appt for 2 , basic mani/ pedi NO COLOR. Absolutely nothing special but a good clean up. We arrived with 15 min to spare. They finally sat us down at the pedi chairs and we waited.... and waited.... & waited... after 1hr and me voicing that we HAVE to be out by 6:30 we were helped. HA! It gets better. When we were sat the water was HOT, feet turning RED hot. By the time they decided to assist us our water was COLD. The lady is doing my toes, cleaning up and she cuts me. I stay still and quite to avoid being further cut or hurt. I told her "it hurts. Did you get an ingrown?" She said "hurt? Yeah. Hurt. Okay." Then she ignores my wince and tries to hide my now bleeding toe. Girl when I say bleeding I mean BLEEDING! She quickly pats it & places some powder over it. We walked in for a regular mani/pedi (1hr max)... left nearly TWO hours later, with two unfinished manicure and a cut toe. There's more tea to this story but let's get to the real reason I'm here. Regardless of my efforts and painful cleaning sessions my toe has been struggling to heal. Turns out she slit the skin near my toe. It's become infected and painful to touch. Talk about REAL screams to get it cleaned. I'm on antibiotics to fight the infection and I have to clean it 3x a day. Please keep in mind the beautiful blue tone on my nails was done at home NOT at Kala Nails. I went back requesting a refund & they tried offering me a free pedi. Uhhhh, I kindly told them I will not be coming back. My terrible pedi- job was refunded. No money covers the dr visits, and painful cries. I had two trips planned. Disneyland AND a mini- getaway with my sister. I'm upset at the fact that I can't walk for long periods of time OR get to wear heels, boots, etc. Cute shoes? Yeah, it's a no. Went in for a full set and pedicure but had to take off the gel polish first. While î was seated, getting the pedicure, the lady came to take off my nail polish. She conveniently filed and buffed the nails on my pants with no towel. All the while standing over me. When she was done, î told her î won't be getting my nails done anymore. I was a walk-in fill around 230 on a tuesday.. Lily was free and saw me immediately. I would have appreciated her taking a little more care with my hands but she was working like a robot. Super quick and like she's been doing this for a couple decades. She piled on the acrylic quickly then used the Dremel tool to smooth them out which burned my nail beds a little.. I did have a nail that was much short than the rest and she rebuilt it very quickly and made then all pretty much the same shape... no nail brush or hand soap in the bathroom... i tipped 5 bucks, it was worth every bit of 21$ and Ill probably go back... i prefer the bare minimum so the work speaks for itself read more

I came back to this salon for a full set this time. Please take your time to read this review and to save your money. On my nails: I was seated quickly because I had an appointment. But my nail tech made no effort to greet me or even ask how I wanted my nails. She heard the tech at the front say "full set" in Vietnamese and that was enough for her. She quickly clipped my own nails down horribly and buffed the bare surface of my nail with the rougher buffing head. She didn't care to clean my nails or do anything to my cuticles and proceeded to add the tips on. Which she used excessive glue for. She wasn't being careful and kept getting the glue everywhere. Then she up sold me to a gel full set while promising me it would still only be $25. It ended up being 40 and she didn't even bat an eye when I told her she told me 25. My nails have horrible coverage, are bumpy and uneven and the paint job she did was not precise at all! The paint got all over the sides of my skin and left over cuticles and now are chilling weirdly as my nails grow out. It's been two days and I'm very disappointed. I'm going to have to get this entire set redone at a better salon. On their rude trash talking in Vietnamese: I'm fluent but I didn't make an effort to tell them that at first, because why should I? As my tech was fitting the tips onto my nails the tech at the front wondered over after another tech told her I was looking at my nails too much. *all in Vietnamese. So the nail tech who came over told my nail tech IN VIETNAMESE to redo my tips or my nails would break. And she didn't, she just kept going. Then they discussed how I kept looking at my nails for no reason and to charge me extra if I complain. It wasn't until after I mentioned my nationality that they changed to fake nice. First I have to say many places don't carry the dark pink powder for pink and white acrylics so finding this place was a godsend. Now onto service. The lady that did my nails was quick, professional, and did my nails exactly how I wanted them. She also spent 30 additional minutes covering my ring fingers with full rhinestones and it was only an extra $10. It's so nice to find a place in the valley that will do what you want without trying to sell you on their extra services. I needed to find a new nail salon as the gal who was doing my nails left the shop with no notice. I had been going to her for at least 5 years. I get pink and white acrylics. I am very particular about my nails. I looked at the reviews for this shop and thought I would try it as it is very close to where I live. To my surprise, Lily did an amazing job. I am so thrilled that I found a new shop that I am actually happy with. Believe me, I've been to other places that I was not happy with. She was very detailed and made sure it was perfect. I first heard of this place from my coworker. I had a great experience , once I was done with the gel mani (which lasted me three weeks and looked super fly) I forgot my credit card. I asked her if I could come back tomorrow to pay, she said yes. I was surprised! I went back three weeks later and got a full set. I ask for them to be short and to look natural. I loved them. Unfortunately I was not around to get my next fill and I went somewhere else where it's pretty known for their nails and they left my nails uneven and the fill started lifting they also didn't really clean the acrylic powder near my cuticles. I came in on the spur of the moment, on the Sunday afternoon for a basic mani/pedi. The salon is nice and lovely, and I was cautiously optimistic I can get a decent job done. The reviews were all over the place, but I hoped for the best. The young man (I did not ask his name) did a fairly decent job on my pedicure. However, he could not do a manicure. I asked for round shape nails. He kept filing them at an angle, with sharp corners. I kept asking him to smooth out the corners. He grew frustrated, as if it were my fault he was incompetent. Lili came to the rescue, and she filed the nails perfectly. However, the nail polish peeled off, literally, the following morning. I did not do anything with my hands -- merely went to a party. I suspect that the nail polish was either old or diluted with acetone. Considering they charge $31 ($1 extra for using a CC), for a basic service, I think this was a rip off. I also cannot understand why a person, whose sole job is to file and shape nails the whole day every day cannot do it. I will not return to this place, and I do not recommend it to anyone. read more

I do have to say my favorite aspect about this salon, is the fact that their employees are very personable, listen to your requests, and make sure you are copletely satisfied. Great service and facility! My GF and I walked in without an appointment and we were seated within 5 minutes. Their prices are very reasonable and my manicure was possibly one of the best ever, more so when considering cost. The employees know what they are doing and are good at what they do. They give lots of attention to detail and it shows during and after the service. There was little conversation due to the language barrier but none of the uncomfortable back and forth between employees followed by the smarmy smiles and awkward comments we all know and love. They are very professional but not stiff. My manicurist did have a good sense of humor when we did speak. This is our new go to place and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family and the Yelp community. read more

Well, at first I thought, this place doesn't even deserve a review. However, I feel the need to let all you ladies know that this place is definitely not the place for you. I came in with my friend to get a gel mani/ reg pedi, and was satisfied with the pedi, but not the gel manicure. I got a glittery pink put on my nails, but it came out see through. So I went in and they happily fixed it, for free. But then, as I am looking at my credit card statement a few days later, I notice that the lady charged me twice. So I went back into the salon, and confronted her about the double charge, and she denied it. She said the only way she can have proof of it is if I hand her a print out of my credit card statement. So I walked over to Wells Fargo, printed it out, walked back to the salon, handed it to her, and she had me write down my phone number so the owner of the store can look at it. All in all, I got a call back, and went to get my money back. However, I was not satisfied with all the trouble I had to go through. I clearly showed her the double charge on the Wells Fargo app on my phone, and she continued to tell me that I need to print it out for her. I'd say this is a sort of sketchy establishment if you ask me. As for my friend, she got a mis-charge as well. She got a simple pedicure, which was $25. The same lady charged my friend for what I paid for my gel mani/regular pedi, which was $45. This was definitely not a good experience for the both of us, to say the least. read more
