Last year I went in for an exam but it had been a few years since my previous cleaning and my teeth were in rough shape. The dentist wanted to remove 7 of my teeth! I was shocked and declined the removal. Instead I sought out other alternatives. I had each quadrant of my mouth "scaled" - a deep cleaning procedure that I've had done before. Then I got a water pic and started to up my daily maintenance. When I went back for my 6 month exam this year I received high praise on how good my teeth were and nobody said a thing about those 7 teeth still needing to be removed. Thanks to MYSELF I managed to save and retain all of my teeth! Then, just recently I started experiencing some pain in my gums. It felt like one of my wisdom teeth was trying to grow sideways out of my gums. After a week it hadn't really gotten better so I scheduled a short appointment just to have it checked out. The hygienist took an x-ray and then the dentist came in. He took a quick look and told me that it's not infected, just a small cut in my gums most likely from eating something sharp. He said it's healing fine and I don't need antibiotics. He then shocked me when he said "I recommend removing the wisdom tooth." Then the next thing I knew he was numbing my gums and preparing a shot. That's when I freaked out!!! I was on my lunch break and told him I needed to get back to work. The hygienist said "oh that's fine, you can go back to work." These people clearly do not get to know their patients. First of all, I immediately started to sweat and shake and panic and felt light-headed. I had so many questions, and even if I did decide to have my tooth removed I would need anxiety medication beforehand, someone to accompany me AND to drive me home afterwards, pre-purchased foods at home to eat while my gums healed, and definitely time off from work! I'm also a smoker, so knowing that I wouldn't be able to smoke after having a tooth removed I would need to mentally prepare and plan ahead for that. These people are so quick to jump to "we need to remove your teeth!" Beware! They didn't give me any time to think, just react, and my reaction was to leave. Perhaps if they had sat down calmly and gave me some information to help me understand WHY they thought the tooth should come out then I could at least understand my options, but I was aghast when they didn't even give me any post-surgery instructions beforehand, what to expect, etc. They didn't even give me any time to register what was about to happen. If you have dental anxiety like I do I DO NOT recommend this place. I DO however recommend taking their advice with a grain of salt, stand up for yourself and don't let them pressure you into unnecessary tooth extractions!

I have seen three RDH's here and my top favorite RDH'S were Anne and April. I really appreciated the cleanings I received from all three hygienists and they all did a great job. I appreciated Anne and April especially for their chair side manner, showing and explaining the consent forms, paying attention to details that were important to me, and not fluoride shaming me when I chose not to have the varnish put on my teeth. I also appreciated Anne and April giving me time to ask questions about how I could improve my home care. The dentist has been friendly and helpful. Great experiences so far and I would highly recommend this excellent group of professionals. Thank you!

The staff was very friendly, professional, and efficient, and everything moved quickly without feeling rushed. I was then scheduled promptly for five fillings. At that appointment, Dr. Khunger and her staff were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and understanding of my dental anxiety. They offered different ways to help me feel more relaxed and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. They explained every step they were doing and checked on me often during the procedure. When I finished, I was so happy that scheduling was able to get me back in just two days later for more fillings. I absolutely love this dental office. I was scared, in pain, and had absolutely no idea what to do. I left a message through their emergency line, and Dr. Jill personally returned my call within minutes. She immediately jumped into action and went incredibly far above and beyond for me. She calmly walked me through what to do step by step (over the phone), stayed with me while I got my tooth back into position, checked in repeatedly about my pain and bleeding, reviewed my medications with me, answered every question I had, explained exactly what symptoms would mean I needed to go to the ER, and made sure I understood what follow-up care I would need. What struck me most was how incredibly kind she was. I was panicked when this happened, and she never once made me feel rushed, embarrassed, dramatic, or like I was inconveniencing her. She was patient, reassuring, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure I was okay. By the end of the call, my tooth was back where it belonged, my pain had significantly improved, and I had gone from being terrified to feeling like I understood what had happened and what I needed to do next. What makes this even more meaningful to me is that I wasn't even an established patient of Dr. Jill's or the dental office's. It was late at night, she had never met me, and she simply heard that someone was frightened and needed help and did everything she could to help me. That kind of humanity is rare, and I will not forget it. If this is how she treats someone she had never even met before, I can only imagine how well she takes care of her patients. Think of him as an organic, vs. a conventional farmer. Instead of offering you the super cheap pesticide chemical-ridden tomato, he has gone out of his way to find the best quality organic tomato from an organic farm stand that tastes delicious and is actually good for you. There is a cost difference, but you are getting a different service. This one will support your health and immune system. And (as a recent transplant from Los Angeles), his pricing is really not that crazy at all. So, if you are sold in his method of practicing, you wait until you visit. The staff are incredibly friendly, you are made to feel super welcome. When you are in the chair, everything Is explained to you in words you can understand AND they go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable. The facilities are super clean and spotless. (I have seen some awful dental practices in my time) and finally, when you are all done and ready to leave, I was offered the carnation in the picture. Now I cannot guarantee they'll give you a flower every time, but for a business to go above and beyond like that, they deserve a solid review explaining how much they care that you have a good experience. My takeaways: Their prices are extremely high, double and triple the going rates. Insurance generally not accepted or rather insurance won't pay because of their exorbitant rates. They are very aggressive and pushy. They are not as accommodating as they claim to be. They use the terms holistic and wellness in their description, which is attractive to those of us looking for what would be a more natural approach, but they are inauthentic when it comes to what you really need.
