Going through cancer treatment is incredibly difficult, but the team here made all the difference. Every nurse we interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely compassionate. They didn't just treat her--they cared about her as a person and supported our whole family through such a hard time. The doctors were outstanding as well. A very special thank you to her oncologist, Dr. Kenni. He was not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also patient, reassuring, and truly compassionate. I waited approximately 45 minutes before being called back, which was stressful, especially since my mom needed to step away to use the restroom during that time. Once I was called, however, the experience improved significantly. The nurse who assisted me was very professional, kind, and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. I would also like to recognize Dr. Gupta, who is always amazing, caring, and knowledgeable. While I was disappointed by the wait, I truly appreciate the excellent care provided by the nurse and Dr. Gupta.

I have been a patient with Riverside Medical Clinic for several years, and one of my biggest…read morefrustrations is the lack of direct communication with physicians. Most communication seems to occur through MyChart messages, letters, or staff messages rather than actual conversations with the provider. Recently I received abnormal imaging results that recommended a breast biopsy. I received conflicting information regarding which breast required biopsy and found myself trying to piece together information from reports, letters, and messages rather than having a discussion with my physician. I understand that healthcare is busy and technology can be helpful, but when patients are dealing with potentially serious findings, many of us would appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with our doctor, ask questions, and understand the risks, benefits, and next steps. The staff has generally been courteous, but the patient-provider relationship feels increasingly impersonal. Patients should not have to rely solely on portal messages to understand significant medical findings. Not everyone has their phone attached to their hip or checks MyChart throughout the day. When abnormal test results require additional testing such as a biopsy, a phone call from the provider's office should be standard practice. Patients should not be left to interpret medical reports on their own while worrying about what the results mean. And in advance, if Riverside Medical Clinic responds with the standard "please contact us" message, I would encourage the clinic to actually review and address patients' concerns rather than sending a copy-and-paste response. The issue is not whether patients can reach out the issue is whether meaningful communication and follow-through occur when they do. My hope is that Riverside Medical Clinic will improve communication and make it easier for patients to speak directly with their healthcare providers when important results are involved.

Feedback Regarding MRI Scheduling Processes for Pacemaker Patients at RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL…read morein RIVERSIDE California I am writing to share my deep concerns regarding the scheduling process for MRI procedures, particularly for patients with pacemakers. First, I want to express my sincere appreciation for your nursing staff; they are consistently professional, compassionate, and provide excellent care. It is because of their dedication that I find the current administrative process for MRI access so incredibly disheartening. I am writing this out of profound frustration, as this is the second time my mother has been subjected to this ordeal. If a patient has a pacemaker, they effectively face a multi-day delay for an MRI due to a rigid, inefficient protocol that requires an external representative from the device company to be physically present to adjust the settings. The current process is simply broken. Relying solely on the availability of a third-party representative--rather than empowering your own qualified nursing staff to manage these adjustments--creates an unacceptable barrier to care. When that representative is unavailable, patients are left waiting for days, which is both physically taxing and emotionally exhausting for them and their families. It is difficult to understand why your team is not trained to perform these standard device interrogations and adjustments, or why there is not a more robust contingency plan in place. This is not just a minor inconvenience; it is a systemic failure that directly impacts patient outcomes and quality of life. I know my mother is not the only patient who has been stuck in this cycle. I strongly urge your leadership team to treat this as a high-priority issue and escalate it for immediate review. Your current process is unsustainable, and it is failing the very people you are here to serve. I truly hope you will commit to modernizing this procedure to ensure that no other patient has to endure such an unnecessary, lengthy wait for critical care. Could you please confirm if this feedback has been forwarded to the hospital administration, and if there is a formal channel where I can track the progress of potential process improvements?
