And after I flinched, asked if I was okay. Other than him, I've have nothing but positive experiences with them. In fact, there is another LabCorp which is 1/2 the distance from my house, but because of said interactions with these employees, I'll continue to go to this one. After all, I've been coming to this particular location for years.

I needed labs for my pre-surgery requirements and the earliest appointment was two months away. I did a walk in at the Ocean Avenue location and the wait was four hours long and packed with people. I decided to take a chance at Noe since I was fasting, and they were able to get me in right before their 11:30 am lunch break. The sign outside says it's "appointment only" but if you check in at the machine inside and say you'll wait, they may be able to do it if not too busy. The female phlebotomist was also working the front desk and was very kind and patient. She was personable and didn't lose her cool despite the influx of patients. I really appreciate her squeezing me in. The other male worker was processing the labs in the back as they do that on site. He was hustling too. This location is much less stressful than others. Appreciate their hard work.

It does make me a little sad that the staff there now have to work so much harder, handling billing and check-in requests on top of their primary role as phlebotomists. That extra load seems outside the scope of their professional focus. Fortunately, even with these added responsibilities, the staff remain incredible. They are skilled, gentle--it never hurts me--and they are consistently warm, encouraging, polite, and clear in their explanations. I especially want to give a shout-out to Genesis, who was genuinely warm and curious about my weekend. She lit up when I told her how much I enjoyed seeing the play Nine to Five this past weekend, and that made the whole experience feel even more personal and human. The office itself is beautiful and clean, and Genesis even took her own time to put up some cheerful Hello Kitty printouts that brightened the walls. One suggestion that might make the space even more soothing would be to add some local artwork. Perhaps nearby artists might be willing to loan or donate pieces--something calming that would also showcase community talent. I think this would enhance an already excellent patient experience. I often tell my friends that if they need to get blood drawn and have the time, this is the office to visit. The only other teeny-tiny improvement I'd love to see would be the use of bandage wraps like they have at UCSF--ones that don't pull hair when they come off, which would be a relief for those of us with, shall we say, more arm hair

This is devestating for our family.

Recently went to AHF for a general check up and my first experience with the AHF team was great!…read more Their staff is knowledgeable, caring and responsive... they went above and beyond by getting me scheduled quickly. I was a bit unsure about going because I'm not Poz and there are some bad reviews for related locations. Neither concern amounted to anything... the reviews are from individuals who have a political bone to pick with AHF - but (sounds like) never received care from the team... do yourself a favor and ignore them. While they specialize in working with folks who are Poz (HIV+) or seeking preventative care, they'll accept non-Poz patients too. My understanding is they'll see patients without regard to ability to pay and while waiting I heard the staff working with patients to make sure they have access to every available resource that might help them. Bummed that the office is only open Weds and Fridays, but the friendly team more than makes up for any stars I'm inclined to knock off for that. Bottom line - the AHF team is a great community resource - they deserve some Yelp love!

The director, Soona?, called the next day and all she had to offer was a line of PR crap that had been vetted by them. She answered no questions and offered no help, even though I asked repeatedly, she just went into "I'll bring it up at a staff meeting" mode. I'm SURE that there is better available than that, I just got the wrong three people. The next day I called back, same we don't know huh the same Mariah quote that is so tired AHF Pharmacy employees have NO IDEA how to work with PRC........is it like some feud back waaay up yonder that you never hear/heard about? She made the experience much easier and I want to give her the biggest shoutout.. I wish I got her name..... but she was the only one working on 6/22! Based on previous visits, I expected to be in and out quickly and parked in a 30-minute spot. However, I waited over 30+ minutes to be seen, which was stressful since I didn't want to leave to add time to the meter and risk missing my turn. I was also fasting for a lab draw so I was a little hangry. And, it took about a month to get this appointment, which is much longer than I've experienced in the past. What is going on? I'm luckily healthy, but it makes me worry for those who need lab routine draws. The phlebotomist was the only staff member working, which likely contributed to the delay. She provided excellent care, but the clinic could clearly benefit from additional staffing and improved scheduling.

NO. just a wasted trip. Reading the other poor reviews, renovation seem to be their thing. Sign recommended next closest location: Post St, NOT the closest, then below that 15th st. Went there as a walk-in. No one to greet you except an iPad. Employee hiding in her vestibule unseen, waiting to engage with the computer. If I didn't walk back, who knows how long I'd be ignored. Such a poor experience all around.
