I went to KaiLokis twice during my 4 day stay in South Point. Once for dine-in at the bar and once for take-out. I highly recommend it when visiting South Point. I enjoyed the fried chicken and the hamburger steak. I love how they have vegetables as a side since it's so hard to find cooked veggies with Hawaiian food. The veggies were fresh and tasted amazing! This is a great local place and if you're in the area, you definitely have to stop and check it out.

Stopped here on our way to black sand beach. Great decision! We arrived at 1:30 and "lunch specials" start at 2:00. My wife wanted the half order of fish and chips which started at 2:00. Staff was more than happy to make that happen. I ordered the full portion. Fish was amazing and slaw was equally good. Nice to have homemade slaw as a side. Not too sweet, not too sour, perfect balance. Server was great with service. The place is obviously a local gathering watering hole. The bar was will by the time we left. I will stop here again. BTW, this is the most Southern restaurant in the United States. Something for me to take back to the Mainland

Hoodie is confortable & super cute!

KaiLokis has such a great Staff and everything I had off the menu during a two week stay in Ocean View was Awesome! Great drinks too, I purchased alot of Merch as gifts and for myself, all are great quality. Can't wait to eat & to pick up more merch on my next vacation back to Ocean View Hawaii!

During our trip to Kona, Hawaii, my family treated me to a delightful surprise--we stumbled upon the most charming spot: KaiLoki's Restaurant, the southernmost bar in the U.S., located at 92-8754 Hawaii Blvd, Ocean View, HI 96737. This cozy restaurant immediately reminded me of the TV show Cheers, where everyone knows your name. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and lucky to have Julie Jules as our server. Julie was an absolute gem--warm, friendly, and attentive. Despite being the only server on duty that day, she made us feel as though we were guests in her own home. Not only did Julie manage everything with grace, but she also ensured all of our meals arrived at the same time--something that other restaurants with more staff often fail to do. Her efficiency and charm truly elevated our dining experience. As for the food? It was fantastic, and everyone left happy. But for me, great service is just as important as great food, and KaiLoki's Restaurant excels in both. This place is a true gem, offering an unforgettable combination of hospitality and flavor. If you ever find yourself in Ocean View, HI, I highly recommend stopping by. This is a 5-star experience! We were on our way back to Kona from south of the island and I brought up trusty Yelp and found this restaurant. From the outside it's a no frills building that barely resembles a typical restaurant. Thankfully, a sign was posted on the road so we were able to spot it readily. Upon entering, we could hear music as you walk down a short hallway flanked by windows on one side and murals on the other. I thought the place was going to be a dive but I was wrong. To the right was the bar and the rest of the space was the dining area. We seated ourselves since it looked like the room was full. The decor was very rustic but clean. Unfortunately, we were seated in front of the "entertainment." He must have been a regular because he called out people by name. We were greeted by our waiter, Cosmos, who seemed to be a bit frazzled since he was the only server in the place. I ordered the hamburger steak with garden vegetables over rice while my husband opted for the typical cheese burger with fries. It took almost an hour to get our food. In the meantime, we had to suffer through the "entertainment " but we were not entertained, rather annoyed. All the songs sounded alike and he consistently sang off key! We would rather listen to nails scratching over a chalkboard. Yes, it was that bad, sorry! Finally, Cosmos brought out the food and thankfully by that time the entertainer only had 15 minutes left in his session. Thank God! Overall, our food was pretty good so it was worth waiting for. Our server was attentive and asked how we liked our meal. We told him we were very satisfied with the food. We asked why it took so long. He said there was one cook in the back in a small kitchen not only filling orders in the restaurant but also to go orders. We would go back but choose to go earlier in the day. They boast an ocean view but we arrived early evening and couldn't see anything. Did not enjoy their choice of entertainment at all but glad it was mostly over by the time we got our food. We were worried about indigestion had he continued---LOL!

This is a decent local spot. We popped in after a long day of driving for a quick bite. I can see locals gathering here as their hometown bar of choice. Nothing was exceptional, and nothing was bad. Just a local dive bar. Lots of seating and a large bar area. My friend got a fish sandwich and I got shrimp and chips. Fries were really good.

Dinner at the Theatery was such a wonderful experience, it starts when you walk into the restauraunt and are greeted by the gorgeous Hawaiian sky, an indoor outdoor experience. The decor, ambiance, music, seating arrangements, lighting, it feels intentional, intimate and classy. We ordered appetizers - focaccia and grilled flatbread. Focaccia 10/10 - crunchy, yet soft, grilled flavor and the butter. Mmmmmmmm yum. Grilled flatbread 5/10 - not what I expected... Lychee martini 10/10 - classy, tropical, sweet but not too sweet ;-) I ordered the glazed lamb shank - the flavor was beautiful, the meat was juicey, soft and fell off the bone, paired with coconut rice and coconut curry. It was an amazing mixture of different flavors that worked so well together. I think we also got the Kanpachi - it was good but the lamb was our favorite. Finished off the evening with the dessert show with the banana foster - it was way too sweet for me but the show was very entertaining to watch :-). Our favorite dessert was the lilikoi crème Brûlée. (Not pictured). Perfect balance between sweet and savory. Crunchy yet creamy. So delicious!! We loved our experience at the theatery - dining felt like an experience, indulging in the art of eating and enjoying conversation with your dining partner. Will go again.

The place was very busy and quite loud, so we had to sit at a high top in the bar. No big deal! Our server was incredibly attentive and made some great recommendations. We decided to start with quest and chips, which was brought out very quickly and nice and hot. As we inhaled the quest and chips, we decided on fish tacos for me and a veggie burger for my husband. The fish tacos were wonderfully seasoned and cooked very well. The tortillas were a bit greasy, however, and I was very happy there were two tortillas to each taco since there was also a bit more drip than I expected from the pico. I also had fries, and the fries were excellent! The veggie burger was epic. This was the second veggie burger from this group of restaurants he has had, and I'm pretty sure it's his favorite in the area. Perfectly cooked and seasoned well, with great fries. It was very busy here, which is always a good sign. Just wish the music wasn't as loud because it's hard to have any sort of conversation. I did enjoy how involved the singer was with the other patrons, so it was amusing!
