Had takeout (or takeaway as they call it here), it was all tasty and not westernized (normally would have said Americanized, but I don't know if they do it in the UK like they do in the US). Second, the main dishes that they serve doesn't come with it either so you have to order rice separately. They dont have any set menu or anything like that where a dish comes with rice. Not for the dinner menu at least as far as I'm concerned. And being Asian myself, I find that a bit odd since we eat so much rice and the name itself is rice republic. Hence, the 4 stars. Now, let's get down to the good part. The food is amazing! Coming froma city that is literally a food haven, Los Angeles, I can honestly say that this place is fire! I would even go as far as they are perhaps one of the best tasting Asian spot in London (and trust me, I've been to a lot)! The steamed buns are great, and the dishes are full of flavors. They have quite a few selection of beverages as well be it beer, wine, or cocktails. Although a bit pricey, I would say it's so worth it. A definite must try when you're in Streatham!
