As for the fries, they're really quite good. They're cooked in rapeseed oil which reduced the calories and also with the skin on, which is varies the flavour in a good way. They're not the crunchiest chips I've ever had, but certainly the tastiest and I don't think crunchy would have worked at all well with the dish overall, so I was pleased to have the ones that they did. We ended up coming here because of #SecretBrixton, and I'm glad because otherwise I would never have come to Brixton let alone Hot Chip. So a big thanks to the organisers for that, and for Hot Chip for being involved. The menu is brief and to the point, with a few dozen main dishes and a handful of starters and sides, so you know that time and care is taken over the preparation of each one. There's a few curry house favourites here for the unadventurous (Rogan Josh, Chicken Korma) but come here for the unusual Nepalese dishes like the fiery Chicken Everest or Kathmandu Lamb. The head chef is Hitkaji Gurung, formerly of the Bombay Bicycle Club, and he takes his food very seriously indeed. All the spices are ground on the premises and the kitchen is open to the counter so you can see what's going on. And they don't use any artificial colours or preservatives - no MSG or luridly-coloured sauces here!
