Ordered three main courses for two people, but felt like we had three large appetizers. Prices are higher than normal for casual Chinese food. Appetizers starting around 6-7 pound! The tofu had smooth orange sauce, not at all gooey like you would sometimes see. The shrimp Szechuan had a really good sauce, but again not enough food on my plate. And having to pay 3 pounds for plain rice is not cool. The Singapore noodles had a nice smoked flavor. Top tasty noodles actually. I'm used to getting a mountain of noodles. Not here. Feel like they skimp everywhere. With the third dish being so small, I feel like they sunk to a new lo (mein). The ambiance is quite nice and almost like a venue setting. Very heavy on purple colors. They limit the amount you can order at a time (dependant on the number of people at the table) but you can always order again, it is all one price, and this prevents over-ordering and food being wasted! The food is always cooked fresh, lots of choice, absolutely lovely. It's been a while since we actually went to the restaurant, as having recently had a baby means we are not going out all that often! So we thought we'd try Beijing Inn's delivery service. So far we have not been disappointed. They are excellent on the phone, have delivered within the time they said every time so far. I told him to correct the order and be more customer-friendly. He also gave me wrong change, so I reminded him to correct that as well. Apart from that (and I have no problem dealing with such people), the food was well-done and tasted great. The portions were big enough to feel full afterwards and the veggies and meat tasted very good.
