Great spot to stop for breakfast, snacks, or dessert. I got the berry croffle and a latte. Both were delicious! Besides coffee and croffles, they have açaí bowls, Dole whip, and shave ice. There are a few tables but it appears more of a to-go spot. When I arrived ~9am, a few people were ahead of me and at least one had a large order. After the person ahead of me ordered, I waited at least 5 mins before I was acknowledged. I understand that they were busy but I would have appreciated if they said something along the lines of, "thank you for waiting, we'll be with you shortly". Having said that, my order was ready fairly quickly (less than 5mins). It's right across the street from the Moana Surfrider so definitely worth checking out if staying there or at one of the other hotels in the area!
Love this spot for acai, come here every time I'm in Hawaii. There's seating outside the vendor, not too crowded at all.The man was so kind in helping us navigate what we wanted in our bowl. We ordered the Waikiki bowl and added nutella and peanut butter.
First time ever getting a Nutella Acai Bowl.... I guess just cuz it was there is why I got it.... It was really good and refreshing...This is just an outdoor permanent setup like many places in Waikiki area.... I got mine to go to bring back to my Airbnb Made with acai, hemp hearts, granola, pineapple, banana, strawberries, blueberries and of course nutella.... Probably wouldn't get it again just because I'm not the biggest nutella person but it was good...
10/10 all around. The waffles and coffee were amazing. The service was amazing. Outdoor seating was cool. We got the strawberry waffle, blueberry waffle, and Hawaiian waffle. All of them were amazingggg. So warm and crispy with fresh fruit and cream cheese filling on top! I also got the iced caramel latte which was delicious! I want to eat this everyday for the rest of my life lol
The place is located right out front of our hotel's pool and courtyard. They have a variety of available bowls and shaved ice. Hubby and I wanted something small and split the Kai cup. It was refreshing to have on a hot day in the shade at a table they have available. You can people watch from there too.
Delicious fresh items here and Kona black coffee!! They sell shaved iced, açaí bowls, waffles, and dole whip! There's dole whip specials where you can add toppings like pineapple, coconut flakes, strawberry, etc. Everything is refreshing and moderately priced for being so close to the beach and near the main shops of Waikiki.
I've always been meaning to try this place, and finally did. On two separate occasions, I tried the acai Bowl and the Choco waffle Croissant, and they were both excellent. The acai Bowl was classic so no complaints there. The waffle was nice and flaky just like a croissant. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a snack to come here.
Permanent outdoor stall with some covered picnic tables. They have four different açaí bowls and we got the aloha bowl (I asked for mine without coconut flakes). I loved the transparency of the pricing, the menu states the 16oz bowls are $13.95 (except the Nutella bowl costs $2 more for the same size). I think the options at the Sunrise Shack are a similar bang for your buck, I'd guess their large is a 20oz for $18, but I didn't see other açaí shops in downtown Waikiki with transparent pricing.
While I did indulge in two açaí bowls from here, it was really because of convenience and mother nature had me craving fruit so bad! The first time, I ordered a regular bowl. I am not a fan of coconut so I asked for extra fruit instead. The açai bowl was pretty good but not the best I've ever had. The second time I ordered the açai bowl with nutella. The nutella açai bowl left a lot to be desired, which was surprising considering how much I love nutella. It also seemed to be lacking enough fruit and I don't know if because I asked for extra previously or this was the normal amount. And even though I'm not a fan of ripe bananas, I didn't remove them either time and it wasn't bad. Now this place was convenient, but the customer service was not that kind. There were two people working the stand every time; I believe the same two people. Neither were friendly; I get it you live in Honolulu daily so you're used to it, but the rest of us are primarily on vacation (particularly in Waikiki) and you own or service a customer facing business. They have a few tables outside, where you can enjoy your order however, since I stayed at the nearby hotel, I just took it back to the room.
5 rounded down to 4.5. Fast service, reasonable prices, and great dole whip. I ordered two dole whips on a weekday afternoon and they came out almost immediately! I did notice they also had a variety of flavors which is nice. They have self serve utensils and napkins and it's a short walk from the beach. Clean spaces to sit and eat if you like also, it's just tucked away in a small plaza that I can picture getting crowded.
This dessert shop was absolutely amazing! The location was easy to find, and they had such a great variety of menu items that we got to try several different desserts and had a wonderful time. The young staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making it easy for us to choose what to order. My favorite items were definitely the ice cream, which was absolutely delicious, and the acai bowl, which was packed with fresh fruit and tasted so fresh. We were still a little hungry, so we also ordered a waffle. It was perfectly sweet, generously topped, and incredibly delicious. I'll definitely be coming back with my friends. I highly recommend this place!
Convenient spot for shaved ice, acai bowls, and more if you're staying at the hotel beside it or walking along the street! The shaved ice was a little hard and not as smooth as other spots, but it definitely satisfies your craving! Service was pretty fast though and there's seating outside.
During our 6 day trip to Oahu, we came to this spot twice because we liked it so much and it was close to our rental. The acai bowls were so good, one of the best we've had during our trip. Tasted really fresh and came out quickly. The waffles were also tasty. It's a shack style, you walk up to and order then pick up when they call your number. There are a couple of tables and chairs outside available to use.

Hot Kona coffee and a tasty waffle to top off my trip . This vendor is right across the Moana Surfrider Hotel and we finally stopped by after the staff kept raving about it . The waffle was so soft with a slight vanilla taste to the batter. The syrup is thick and actually tastes like real syrup . Definitely no artificial taste in it . Prices are not high . It was $4.95 for half of a plain waffle . read more

Located across the Moana Surfrider Hotel (Besides Crocs) is this small breakfast nook that offers outdoor sitting (4-5 tables). It is shaded, cool tourist ambiance. It's such a perfect place for people who needs a quick bite or cup of coffee and not paying the high waikiki price. They offer "croissant waffle" that almost have a "mochi" consistency when you chew on it. I had the hawaiian which is a classic with fresh berries but the thing that makes it special is the home made macadamia syrup-- it is divine! The choco-holic waffle is a must have for kids or those who just wants nutella for breakfast! There is also an excuse for a full-on dessert with their shave ice that have a dole whip ice cream in the center. It comes with toppings like mochi and popping bobas on the side. The plentiful condensed milk they pour (which is a boomerang-insta pic worthy) balanced the flavor. I also had the acai bowl. The consistency of the acai is the one i prefer, its almost like "ice cream". With all the waffles I ate, I had my acai to-go (still in the freezer as I typed).. For the coffee lovers, all the classic favorite are there and i believe they use honolulu coffee beans. The accept cash/cards. They don't validate parking. Nearest parking is the international market place. Must -try. Staff are efficient despite the amount of customers. The owners are welcoming and working there as well. read more

I thought the bowl was okay. It wasn't great but it also wasn't bad. I thought the açaí bowls were certainly better than the sunrise shack across the street because they blend their bowls with other fruits, so it tastes a bit watered down. The reason I'd give this a 2 star is because it's more expensive than other places and they don't give you very much. I think this part needs to be revisited. Also, they ended up getting my order wrong. Normally, that's whatever. Everyone makes mistakes, but when I'm paying the price of an entre for a fruit bowl, I can only offer so much grace there I think this place has potential to be an island vintage, but they need to be a little more buttoned up with better prices read more

Kai Fresh never disappoint! This spot is so cool, the food is amazing, the empl are kind, and it's in such a great spot. It's right across the street from the Moana Surfrider Hotel so it's perfect for a snack while wandering around Waikiki. I got the Nutella Açaí Bowl and it was almost too much to finish. Shout out Marisol, I'll be coming back for sure! read more

We have been searching all over Waikiki for the original Dole Whip, which is more of a sorbet than ice cream soft serve. And Kai Fresh has it! The holy grail. We got a free sample just to make sure and we were delighted with this non dairy version. Yum. For tomorrow, we are going to try the açaí bowl for breakfast. read more

Great açaí bowl option right in the middle of Waikiki. I got mine without honey because I'm vegan. Was disappointed that they no longer put macadamia nuts on them. A few of the menus online show mac nuts as a topping and I've been surprised at how few açaí bowls have mac nuts here so I was looking forward to this. Now, it's crossed out on the sign. I'm guessing it just got too expensive for them to continue offering this. It was still a delicious fruity treat! The few tables by cart were full, so I took my bowl up by the Sheraton pool bar and enjoyed it up there. read more

Kai Fresh is a tropical oasis in the heart of Waikiki that is a reflection of ALOHA in Hawaii. They have a one of the BEST GIANT WAFFLES that I ever had. You will love their take on Waffles with Fresh Strawberries and Blueberries with a homemade Macadamia Nut Sauce that has the right amount of sweetness. I have never had an Açai Bowl before but I truly recommend this if you are looking for a healthy and refreshing alternative with a generous portions of Bananas, Strawberries and Mango. It was truly refreshing. On a hot summer day, I definitely say that you should have the Shave Ice with Mango & Boba. This dessert was awesome especially when I found there was a hidden scoop of vanilla ice cream underneath the shave ice mountain. HOT or COLD, Kai Fresh has an excellent selection of Kona Coffee and fresh juices for you to choose from. If you want a Taste of Paradise, you can't go wrong with Kai Fresh.....chee-hoo read more

Fresh and Sweet! Very great choice to start the day off with. I loved the freshness of the fruits, the acai sorbet was also not too strong and the crunchiness balanced it all off. Def recommend. Service was quick and clean! read more

Cute little shack tucked off the main strip. Came here once to grab a drink. The tea was pretty basic but refreshing with the pineapple juice. Wouldn't mind trying some other drinks from their menu if we had the time. There was a looong line at another nearby shave ice place so we came here since there was no wait. The flavors of the shave ice was fine but compared to a couple other places we've been to, the ice here is noticeably chunkier and not as fine. The plate shaved ice was on is probably not the best as our shave ice melted into soup with like 5 min (and we got shave ice late night too). We noticed a other places we've tried so far put either ice cream/ froyo/soft serve underneath the ice. I think that really helps prevent the ice from melting into a puddle so quickly. If the shop reads this review, maybe consider putting dole whip underneath since you offer it. I think it could be a good spin and help the ice last a bit longer. read more

Kai Fresh is exaxtly what it is....it is FRESH!!!! I really enjoyed everything. All the food was delicious. The Acai bowl was very fulfilling and the waffles were perfect, fluffy but not bready. I dont like macadamia nuts but their macadamia syrup goes great with their waffles. The shaved ice was good too. The shaved ice had ice cream in the middle. read more

This is definitely a hole in the wall location. Came in the afternoon to try the shave ice I ordered the ono tropical which is coconut and mango flavored. This place is on the more affordable side for shave ice compared to other shops in pricing and size and they seem to use fruit based syrup instead of the sugar ones. You can also add in dole whip or get a cup. I decided a cup as well since it was hot. Service was fast and both the shave ice and dole whip barely melted when I received it. I noticed they also have coffee and a croissant waffle menu which I really want to try for breakfast one day read more

OMG(goodness) this is the BEST on the island! Açaí from Brazil and sooooo good! The most amazing tasting, fresh and super flavorful Açaí bowl without breaking your bank! If you love Açaí bowls you HAVE TO try these! Then let's talk about the waffles! I think there is crack in them...they are so addicting! Made with croissant dough, and are sooooo delicious! One just isn't enough! read more

Don't bother getting their shave ice....on the plus side, they do make their own syrup from real fruit but it only comes in mango, strawberry, pineapple...BUT, it's NOT shave ice...it's a snow cone...large crunchy ice crystals instead of fluffy 'shave ice'. It sucks. read more
