My insurance changed in January 2019 and Methodist does not accept my insurance. I wasn't concerned because I thought, I'll just pay cash when I need to see her. I need a surgery clearance and made my appointment. When I got there, they wanted my insurance card. I told them that they don't take my insurance, I'll pay cash. They told me that I could not be seen. They claimed it was a legal issue. I doubt this as I think it's an agreement between Methodist and their insurance providers. Had I said that I had no insurance and would pay cash, I would have been seen. So, my doctor for the last five years, cannot see me. This is total BS and I will never go to a Methodist hospital or their affiliated doctors again.

Dr. Laursen is very sweet, very professional and makes you feel very comfortable especially when you want to discuss things that you wouldn't even share with your own mother. Rather than literally writing me off with a prescription to send me my way, she will thoroughly explain my diagnosis and treatment. And when some health issues extend beyond a PCP's care, I trust her list of recommended specialists - which have all been equally positive experiences. Her all-female staff are so wonderfully personable, pleasant and always cheerful. Always. I've NEVER had to wait more than 10 minutes and they've always been able to squeeze me in at the very last minute. Just keep note that they're only open on the mornings on Friday. I also go here for my annual women's wellness exam rather than a gynecologist (usually free with insurance). Whether it's a bad cold or my private bits, I always trust Dr. Laursen's professional medical opinion.

I went in to see Dr. Jeanne Smith today. She has been our family doctor for a year and a half or…read moreso. Firstly, she kept me waiting for 40 minutes. Regarding the reasons for going to see her, I have been struggling with significant hair loss, appetite loss with weight gain, depression, low energy, and high cholesterol. I told her of my issues and she was completely dismissive, "wo-man-splained" to me that of course, I had gained weight because I take my dogs on one walk a day instead of three now that my energy is low. Everything that I told her, she had a quick and dismissive reason that basically let me know that my issues must be because of my lack of care for myself. Her bedside manner was belittling, and completely lacking in any compassion and kindness. She left to get some paperwork and never returned, instead sending her nurse in to finish the appointment. I then went to the lab to get my blood drawn and she had completely messed up my blood work order, so much so that waiting for it to get figured out would have made me late for my next appointment. This all took way too long and left me feeling helpless, hopeless, and not valued as a patient. I have already started looking for a new doctor and will NEVER go back to see Dr. Smith. I am even contemplating using a different provider altogether (leaving Methodist for another health organization). The two doctors we have seen at Primary Care Group have been uninterested and dismissive. I am not impressed and will not be going back.

I'm a first-timer to the Kelsey-Seybold system, and my initial experience was a good one. Calling their reservations hotline was a breeze; they take your particulars over the phone so you don't have to fill out forms when you get there. Luckily I was able to get an appointment quickly with the pediatrician I wanted. The receptionists were nice and efficiently got my file ready and my credit card on record (I paid out of pocket.*) The nurse who took my son's particulars was a sweetheart and also helped me get set up with their online services so I could see any results from our visit. The wait for the doc was long but worth it. Dr. Richard Byrd was very friendly and a non-alarmist (something I really appreciate!) answering all our questions, putting our minds at ease, doing a thorough physical exam, and confirming everything the Hong Kong doctors have said about my son. My faith in HK public health clinics is solidified! I'm now relieved that if we visit Houston in the future, my son has a doctor on hand in case something happens! -- *Fees for new patients start at $150 if you're curious.

Asking me to give her my daughters birth date and info when they're the ones who called and had my daughters information in the first place. The reason I called was to asked how they even got her name and my husband's number in that clinic if we have never even heard of this clinic nor been to it. Be careful with this seems like they have children's information without the parents even knowing about it and if you ask them how they got it they give you an attitude instead of wanting to help you..

I had blood drawn at their lab on Thusday 12/29/2016, the lab technician tried to take blood at three places on right arm at center, left arm at center and on left wrist. the blood drawn on left arm are both swollen and she removed the needle as the swelling was getting too bad. She told me use hot and cold compresses which i did. Even after 5 days the pain did not go off and also i had a large bruise green and purple red in color and hurts the whole left hand. So i called the office on Tuesday 01/03 and talked about this issue and since it was mistake of the lab technician doing the blood work i said i will need that to be addressed asap as i am having hard time with the hand. there was no response until afternoon and i called back, talked with another lady and she said someone will call me. No one called me till now Thursday 01/05 regarding this, I never had issues with blood drawn. 1. blood was not drawn properly by the lab technician. 2. I called in two times regarding the damaged veins which was their mistake and talked with someone who said i would get a call back but No call till now. No response even after 2 days. The bruise is still there after 1 week and the hand still hurts. I don't recommend going there and there are better clinics around.
