Omelette

Stopped by Kaffinated in Webster and had such a great breakfast! The egg sandwich was fresh and flavorful, the turkey omelette was packed with ingredients and cooked perfectly, and the lavender latte was smooth with just the right hint of floral sweetness. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and everything came out hot and fresh. Wasn't even packed for a Saturday at 10am. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

Such a CUTE spot!! The food was also amazing! A little overpriced for counter service, but i paid it. Went for a weekday brunch, so I can imagine it would easily get packed on a weekend. It's very "instagrammable" so be ready for the lights, camera, action while a whole photo shoot takes place as you nom your way through some amazing food. I had the salmon crepe (uhmazing!), my gf had the Alfredo crepe, and other gf ordered a healthy omelet with fruit. No parking issues. Go check it out!

Chicken alfredo crepe - 9/10- $14.99 - Tasted like cheesy alfredo pasta, really tasty Kinder bueno waffle - 8.5/10 - $12.99 - The chocolate drizzle was really good, loved the crunchy chocolate with the waffle Sautéed mushroom toast - 8/10 - $14.99 - Meat didnt have much flavor but other toppings on toast were tasty Southwest spicy omelette - 7/10 - $15.99 - Spices were good but the meat was kind of dry Oreo milkshake - 8/10 - $7.99 - Very oreo-ey but more on the milky side, could maybe use more ice cream to make it creamier/thicker Lavender latte - 9/10 - $4.99 - Lavender flavor was strong, and coffee was creamy and of good quality I loved that this spots menu was fully Halal which I find is rare in the Houston area for brunch spots. They had a great variety on their menu including coffees, shakes, mojitos, sweet/savory crepes, and other breakfast food! I would recommend trying them out if youre in the area!

I love this place! The drinks were soooo good! And the avocado toast was the best I've had. Pretty fast service too and the place had plenty of seating and was beautiful

Ambience is on point! Not to mention the presentation of the to-go coffee is also aesthetically pleasing. I did not try the food however it was very colorful and looked amazing. Today I got the biscotti iced latte! I did add one Splenda and it was spectacular. I will be back! Happy Yelping!

Met up with a friend here for breakfast. It's a popular spot so getting a table can be tricky. Lots of places to take cute pics. We both ordered the avocado and egg toast with potatoes. It was soooo good and the portions are perfect! We also ordered crepes. I went with the smites and she got the standard Nutella and strawberry. I was full from breakfast, but ate as much as I could of that crepe bc it was so delicious. My friend said her crepe was very good! I'd come back and try out a different crepe.

They have great sweet & savory crepes! Beautiful setting. Nice staff. My daughters and I love going there. Their shakes are delicious. A dedication it's hit

When we came the place was packed so had to find a place to stand. They gave us numbers but it would've been more efficient calling out numbers instead of running around looking for the customers. Waited a good probably 30 minutes for our order. My sister got the Matcha and I got the caramel macchiato, it wasn't worth the wait..tasted watered down. They're fairly new so I do hope they fix how they do some things because the staff looked stressed. Took some quick photos and left

We were driving by and this place caught our eye. We had to stop in and check it out. The place is so pretty on the inside. We decided to try a few items. I got a savory creamy pesto crepe. My kids got a sweet crepe S'mores. They were bigger than expected. I also got a unsweetened black tea. I was surprised to see that there was edible glitter in my drink! It was so pretty. The workers were very nice. The kids really enjoyed the crepe and the one I got was so yummy. The pesto sauce was so creamy and the chicken was nice and tender. I definitely recommend this place and I will have to come back to try some of their other offerings.

Veggie omelette and apple cinnamon crepe with drip coffee

5 star an the ambiance. Service was ok but both our entrees came out at separate times. The drip Coffee was just ok. My husband really liked the veggie omelette but didn't care for the potatoes that came with it. I tried the apple cinnamon crepe which was good. Everything was on the pricey side.

Amazing service! And the best part is the food! The atmosphere is very chill but if you want to beat the crowd, I would come at one

TLDR: Worth a visit if you're in the area?…read more Wow! Hidden gem? Forgotten favorite? I don't know, but after tasting the food, we have to get the word out about this spot. Arriving around lunchtime on a weekday, I had the place to myself which allowed me a unique opportunity to take the place in. That being said, this spot is not overly French cafe themed, but instead a classic suburban strip mall spot with nods to the French peppered throughout the menu and decor. The booth area is well-designed, the spot was clean and the table touched by light so after a great experience chatting with the cashier I was crossing my fingers, hoping the food matched the vibe. I had a crepe Mexicana (because who has ever heard of that?!), a croque monsieur with tomato soup, and a dessert crepe because y'all know I always save room for dessert. It took a minute to be prepared, but I'm willing to wait for a fresh made meal. Everything, was delicious. Crepe texture was on point, and each crepe was stuffed to the Gods. Positive experience all around. My tip: Order the tomato soup and finish your meal with the following combo- a dessert Crepe Almonds with strawberries. Trust me on that one!

Wholly Crepe!! Russian Bistro - Tomball…read more What does authentic Russian hospitality look like? It looks less like a restaurant and more like a small doorway into someone's home -- a place where food is not rushed, and conversation is part of the meal. EXTERIOR: At first glance the building is modest, almost shy. A few outdoor seats, a quiet frontage, and public parking just around the corner. The kind of place you could easily pass -- and shouldn't. INTERIOR: Once you go up the steps, open the door, and the Northwest Houston surroundings fall away. The room feels lifted from a Russian village house, ( ): warm wood floors, wooden window frames, and intimate spacing. If you've ever been to Russia or watched any of the Russian movies or cartoons, this space will be familiar. Four tables and sixteen chairs, sit to the left; to the right, a narrow staircase evokes a country dacha, (). Larger tables gather families together, even a few small chairs waiting for children. Main room offers unique, (in glass shelves) Lomonosov Porcelain 1744 dishes, from St. Petersburg. As well as, carved wooden dishes, hand-painted details. Ask Mila and Bill for details. RUSSIAN HOSPITALITY: Arriving shortly after opening, Bill greeted me with a smile. Conversation came naturally and without agenda, as if we've known each other a long time. Mila, came out shortly after from the kitchen and I was able to converse with her in Russian and English. Both shared their meet story and how they decided to start this adorable business, May 2015. The story feels better heard from them directly. I set down to look at their abundant menu options. Meals here require patience. Many dishes are prepared from scratch. Part of Russian Hospitality is to welcome you in to their home, sit you down, spike up a genuine conversation and make a delicious home cooked meal. The rhythm slows; the outside schedule becomes irrelevant. I decided to order four of their popular dishes; #7 Tvorog Crepe, #24 Smoked Salmon Crepe, Siberian Pelmeni Bowl, and Cheburek. Let's go over each dish briefly. Gordon Ramsay once said - The way to know when something is cooked from scratch or microwaved is by the amount of steam or sizzling coming from the plate. #7 Tvorog Crepe - $12 Homemade Ricotta Cheese, Choice of Berries, Condensed Milk or Honey. I ordered mine with mixed berries, white powder and condensed milk. Something about taking each bite dipped in condensed milk with all the toppings makes your taste buds dance. Generous portions. #24 Smoked Salmon Crepe - $16 Tvorog Cheese, Salmon, Cherry Tomato, Green Onion, Salted Dill. As someone that adores a good salmon dish, clean flavors and a proper texture contrast -- delicate fish against warm crepe. The pairing works and generous portion. Siberian Pelmeni Bowl (24ct) - $17 Handmade dumplings in butter with your choice of dipping sauce. True Russian Hospitality - dish ware presentation along with the cuisine. The three-layered, brown color bowl looked presentable. Pelmeni looked freshly made and the steam coming from the bowl would make Gordon Ramsay smile. A slightly meatier filling would improve the ratio, but the flavor remains familiar and nostalgic. Cheburek - $9.50 Handmade Fried Meat Pie filled with Ground Beef & Onion. Served with your choice of dipping sauce. Good presentation and the taste was a good pairing combination with sour cream. Exterior texture was crispy, while the interior was soft. A fuller filling would strengthen it. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: While photographing the dishes, some cooled before I could eat them. Mila noticed and worried -- a small moment can be explained. If you've been around a Russian woman, you know they want nothing but the best for you when it comes to food. Wholly Crepe!! Offers some of the most unique and delicious cuisines for those who crave something different. Everything is made to order, from scratch, in small batches preserving authenticity and flavor. Come prepared to pause. The reward is a meal that feels cooked for you, not merely served to you.

The good: cute decor (there's a display case full of tea sets), and food flavors were fine (but…read morenothing to write home about). The bad: My first big gripe is the water. There's an expectation that in the US, tap water is free. Places that only have bottles typically will say, "We have bottled water; is that okay?" if you order water. This place didn't. They just brought out bottles. They're charging $2 each. Portion sizes are very small for what you're paying, and for the actual cost of the ingredients. My crepe was essentially a light snack for $14. Family friendliness is mixed. They're welcoming of kids, but there is no kids menu, and no changing table in the restroom. There's also only one customer restroom, so you're screwed if someone has to be in there for a while. The weird: The music did not match the theme or ambiance. Clearly they are trying to appeal to their customer base's favorite music by playing country hits, which felt a little out-of place. Like many other business in Old Town Tomball, this restaurant is in a converted house. You have to park in back but walk around to the front. Conclusion: If you live crepes or are looking specifically for Russian food, it's worth a try, but I'm not in any hurry to return.

Glass Mountain Magazine held an open-mic event here as a part of their annual Boldface conference,…read morewhich is what brought me here. I'll admit that I was somewhat disappointed when I walked in that it didn't seem authentic like I thought it would be. I expected a real French atmosphere and staff, but obviously that's not fair to the place. That's not a critique, but the expectation did influence my experience. The second thing I notice was about the "house-made flavors" for the coffee. I saw the adjective of "house-made" in the Yelp menu pictures which is what got me excited. In-house syrups is the factor that brings me to a coffeeshop. That's what tells me this is the real deal, that this place is putting in real effort to craft a balance drink. Melange realizes this as well. They knew that would draw people, but let me tell you, these flavors are not "house-made." I literally saw a bottle of Monin syrup on the counter. How that is made in house I can't comprehend. Look, I saw the jars of nutella on the counter behind the glass wall, which may make my question sound stupid, but I dumbly thought those were just for the crepes. So when I walked up to the register, I asked the guy "How do you make the nutella flavor for the coffee?" I wanted to know because I myself have tried mixing nutella into my drip coffee at home and it never dissolves. In response, he stared at me in confusion. I rephrased: "Like how do you put the nutella in the latte?" He simply said, "Thin nutella." I did not confront him about the "house-made" adjective on the chalkboard. I did not have it in me. But I thought maybe this could still be good. I was handed a paper cup, which also disappointed me, for I expected a mug, but I can only hold that against myself. The real cardinal sin of coffeeshops that was committed here was that I could not taste the coffee. I am not kidding when I say it tasted like hot nutella milk and that was it. Obviously it tasted good-I like the taste of nutella. But that's not what I ordered. Now again I'm non-confrontational and there were only two employees who were working on a bunch of other orders so I didn't bother complaining. But the lack of coffee in my latte is the bulk of my frustration with Melange Creperie. I also should mention that my latte was decaf, which could have contributed to the distinct lack of coffee taste, I'm not sure, but that seems like an important detail. Now I did enjoy my sausage crepe. The white cheddar and egg were smooth and velvety and the mustard added a nice acidity to contrast with the andouille sausage. But it does feel overpriced at $16 and I wish there was a bit more sausage. If I lived in Houston, I would probably return to try more crepes, but I would never order coffee from here again.

I was right; it wasn't crowded--just my husband and me. We ordered an Arabic coffee and a latte with milk. (As a side note, they were out of Arabic coffee, so we opted for Turkish coffee instead.) We also decided to purchase some chocolate. The person at the till showed us a couple of chocolate box options, and we chose the large one to fill with amazing and interesting chocolates. Yummmm We also asked for a bar of the viral Dubai chocolate bar. The employee said he had already added it to our box! We asked him twice, and he agreed. We complimented his stealth and efficiency. He even charged for it. When we got home, the Dubai chocolate was nowhere to be found. It wasn't in the box, the bag, or anywhere else, but there was definitely an additional charge on our receipt for it. Why did the employee double down on confirming that it was in the bag if it wasn't? While I want to assume it was an innocent mistake, this was an utterly disappointing customer service experience, even though it had a really welcoming vibe set up by the Syrian traditional family and their history depicted on the walls. I'll think twice before visiting this place again, despite its lovely family history.
