I've been wanting to try this place out! I happened to be off work today randomly and was wondering around Friendswood and wanted to try something new. This quaint little shopping strip (where Perry's is) is something worth checking out. Today I got the almond croissant and the prosciutto sandwich to go. The service was quick and the interior was cozy and fun. I really enjoyed the sandwich, the bread was soft the flavors just really went together well. I popped by today on my way back to San Antonio (ok, I went 40 minutes out of the way to make it "on my way" home, but it is so worth it. Super good bistro vibe, lively, with great ambience. I had a big beautiful croissant filled with their delicious chicken salad...For taking home, I picked up a few each of butter croissants, chocolate croissants, kouign-amann, and a beautiful baguette..also, 3 patés de fruits, one giant cinnamon churro cookie, one bourbon chocolate pecan and one sticky toffee cookie. When I made it home this evening, I sprinkled a bit of water on the baguette and popped it in a 450 degree oven for 4 minutes (that makes it just as crusty and soft and perfect as when it first came out of the oven)..I put sliced peppered smoked pork tenderloin, mixed spring greens, brie and whipped up a pineapple jalapeno jam to dress it with. After I bought some great books at Forgotten Lore next door, I ran into this place to see what they had. I was not disappointed! I haven't seen a morning bun in quite a while. It's the best I've ever had! It's a perfect place to drop in for some fresh, amazing breads, muffins, and other treats or stay a while with a friend and enjoy a nice lunch. Bakehouse or Buffalo Bakehouse is a unique little breakfast & lunch sandwich shop that also sells fresh baked breads, pastries, and desserts. My wife and I stopped in for lunch and had a Muffaletta, a Mortadella Focaccia, and we split a Kouign-amann. The sandwiches were outstanding. Just the right amount of meats, cheese, and topping on a light but filling bread. Splitting the Kouign amann kept us honest. It would be easy to overindulge after our sandwiches. There are about eight 4 top tables inside and several outside. The inside has an intimate atmosphere and feels like a cafe you could lounge in, sipping coffee and eating croissants. After eating, we took some scones and muffins home for later. We'll be back. read more

To/dr Coffee was bad Too echoey to be cozy Too expensive to be a regular The vibe is nice- they should really lean more into the cozy, dark academia/ witchy vibe. A few more cozy soft accents and some more warm lighting would be en pointe. The coffee is definitely NOT where it's at, and the prices are premium for sure for relatively small portions. Don't know how to justify tipping with no table service- I am progressively getting more and more annoyed at having to tip for just walking in to an establishment. I wish owners would just pay their employees a living wage and not depend on the customers to do it out of guilt. read more

Adorable place! Love the darker, cozy atmosphere and decor. The croissants are fabulous! I had the chocolate one and an espresso (outstanding) while sitting inside, and took a croissant chicken salad sandwich and a snack pack full of hummus, olives, crackers and other goodies to go. It'll be perfect to bring into work. The sandwich was incredible, and I really appreciate how it's not drowned in celery like so many others are. It's chunky and packed with flavour, with walnuts and cranberries too! I'll definitely be back. read more

I absolutely love it here! I am so happy that my first visit happened to be for Harry Potter's Birthday and the place was absolutely in theme! They had the most magical baked goodies, the strongest witches brew, and the witchiest vibe! Seriously, everything tasted so good! The staff were super friendly and was very welcoming. First time visit to Bakehouse around noon. Was a little surprised to see so many breakfast options but not a big selection for lunch. Their chicken salad was delicious however they didn't sell any chips to go along with your large chicken salad croissant. Will give this place another try but maybe for breakfast read more

This new cafe/bakery is so good. I stopped by with my son while running errands and was greeted warmly and shown around. My son didn't want to sit down, but the decor/ambiance was lovely and included outdoor seating. My son got a ham & cheese croissant, and I ordered a kouign Amman and a sticky bun for my other son, along with a walnut cranberry chocolate chip cookie, salted dark chocolate chip cookie, & a loaf of sourdough bread. EVERYTHING was delicious! My son took a bite of his sandwich in the car & proceeded to finish it, saying it was the best ham & cheese he's ever had (other places are usually pretty salty). I was so excited about this place but unfortunately disappointed. I tried it twice and both times I went for breakfast and they had already ran out of almost every breakfast item. I understand maybe under ordering in a weekday but a Saturday they shouldn't be running out and the employee stated they always run out before 9am. I also assumed with it being advertised as a bakery and breakfast location they would have options for coffee. They did not. The coffee was horrible. I am a black coffee drinker and I added more sugar and half and half then I probably ever have just to make it somewhat drinkable. Very disappointed. read more
