Couple days…read moreafter our appliances were delivered our refrigerator started making a loud knocking noise periodically throughout the day. I immediately called up RC Willeys customer service to get it fixed or replaced. The lady who I spoke to was going to just have a new one delivered to swap it them out. That was until their technician got involved. I was then told the soonest he could make it out was a week from when I called in. It was an agonizing week listening to it knocking every 1-2 hours. When their technician guys came out they easily fixed the problem and explained sometimes when the guys in the warehouse load them that their dollyies for loading them bend this metal tab pushing it into the back fan of the refrigerator. Simple as that. Here's where it went wrong, upon pushing our refrigerator back into its place the compression fitting for the water popped off the back and started spraying water all over the place. One of the guys was very considerate and tried to help as much as he could but it was the the other technician who threw his hands up saying we needed to contact a plumber and that it wasn't their fault. Wtf?! Funny how it worked fine before you moved it. Upon closer inspection I now know what they did. Rather than disconnecting the water to service the back of the fridge, they kept it hooked up and by doing so pulled the water line so tight it stripped the compression fitting. They basically turned the water off to our entire house and left us in this condition. Would I buy something from them again... hell no! Just for the unprofessionalism displayed by the technician they employ.

Brandon immediately translated our plan into his software so we could discuss options and take on suggestions for improvement. He was quick and precise in making adjustments to appease our HOA and fit within our budget. The crew was meticulous in their work on the yard. If it was on the plan it was replicated in the yard. If we saw something that needed a slight adjustment they were happy to accommodate. I recall a situation where we needed a concrete walkway to go wider around an AC unit. The crew quickly responded by forming a wider path. Nate was great at scheduling project dates and also helped to make sure our AC units were reinstalled in a timely manner after our concrete was poured. We were relieved to have them up and running again before a forecasted heat wave arrived. Brandon was there at every stage of the project and was always quick to respond. He was at the nursery with us when it came time to choose the plants, making suggestions for plants that best fit our specific environment. During the middle of construction a rain storm hit our area and we had some concerns about how the yard would handle it in an unfinished state. He came out late at night to make sure the drainage would be okay until the storm passed. Upon completion of the project he was there to make sure everything was tidied up after the final walkthrough. We signed a $67,000 landscaping contract with this company in March. While we understood the initial weather-related delays, the way our project was handled afterward was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. On our scheduled project start date (May 26th) no one showed up and we received no phone call, email, or update. After taking time off work to be home for the project, we had to call the company ourselves, only to be met with confusion and surprise, as if they were unaware our project was even scheduled to begin. They then scrambled to contact employees and send someone out later that day for a "walk through." This is something that should have been completed well before the scheduled start date. We were then assured work would begin the following morning at 8:00 AM. By 10:00 AM, no one had arrived and again we had received no communication. When we called for answers, an employee told us the owner and our project advisor should have already been at our house to speak with us. That had never happened. When we calmly expressed our concerns about the repeated lack of communication, the no call/no show, and the fact that we had now missed multiple days of work for nothing, the owner, Brandon, immediately responded by asking if we wanted to cancel the project. We explained that cancellation was not our goal. We simply wanted accountability, communication, and follow-through. Brandon then stated, "I don't like the tone you have. I've been in the landscaping business since the 90s. I have 9 other projects going on and I don't like your tone, so we can just go ahead and cancel this project." At no point were we disrespectful. We were frustrated customers trying to understand why a major project had been mishandled from the start. For a company handling projects of this size and cost, we expected professionalism, communication, and BASIC reliability. Unfortunately, our experience has been the exact opposite. At that point, I had no real option to refuse the delivery since the rocks were already blocking both my driveway and part of the road. I was forced to move forward and use the material in my landscaping. This experience felt very misleading, and I'm disappointed with the lack of consistency and transparency. We felt comfortable to take our time to look around. Information would be provided & then we'd be given space to discuss on our own. It never felt pushy or judgmental. The Cafe model we wanted wasn't physically there to see, but we were shown other Cafe & GE models, & had the similarities & differences explained to know what the features were on the one we'd be purchasing. The ordering experience at James's desk was comfortable. We sat on bar seats with a large screen to view on our side that mirrored the computer screen that James worked on. He was very thorough & double-checked everything with us. He was also conversational & humorous during the process. We opted to go with the pro installation team that could handle any possible snafus that could come up (like cabinetry measurements being off) versus a basic install that would only involve taking out the old & putting in the new. There was an initial scheduling issue with the installation. It got mitigated, but resulted in a delay of an hour from our original time slot. The installers were respectful & efficient. They informed us of a small issue & consulted on how it could be resolved. We are satisfied customers.

The person that coordinated the delivery canceled my delivery and didn't bother to tell me. Homewise was supposed to drop off my range at my home on Wednesday. I had an electrician scheduled to upgrade my wiring and install the new range the following Thursday. When the delivery crew finally arrived on Friday they thought they were just dropping it off after I was told that they would deliver and install. After heated calls to Homewise the crew was told to install it. The delivery crew installed the range and it work but I could not get the crew to level it properly. 30 years ago I could have fixed it a few minutes but now I have to get someone to level it. Homewise has good products but don't count on professional service after the sale. I think I judged the delivery crew unfairly. Today was 101°F and it was late in the day. These guys had been out all day they were under the impression that they just had to drop off my range. They still had one more delivery before going home and really didn't want to spend time making my oven perfectly level. This crew works harder than anyone in this endeavor and are in all probability compensated the least. They and the salesman are as much victims of the back office as my wife and I.
