In all fairness this deserves to be 0 stars. Extremely unprofessional, rude, ignorant owner, with…read moreneglect to customers and total lack of any customer service at all. Got out of the car up front with the car on still to go to the window (with no intention of parking there) to ask about a certain part and guidance, and the owner came running to the window yelling and "saying you can't park there" and making other extremely bold and ignorant, rude statements with an attitude to his (first time customers). Eventually dealt with an employee who was better. Went to find a vehicle for a part needed that was originally told that would be there, and was not there at all, after searching two full yards. Absolutely no record of inventory, and nearly mauled twice by two separate yard dogs and had to run, that we were never told about or to look out for. That is just looking for a lawsuit if anyone is ever injured without the knowledge of them. STAY AWAY from this place at all costs. I usually never give negative reviews, and it's been a while since I've been treated this way if I ever was.

Dependable told me "WE HAVE OUR OWN DRIVERS WE WILL HONOR THIS MOVE"…read moreThey did not use their own drivers for the move and the quoted price was 360.00 more than any other company who was using drivers off the national dispatch system like dependable did. Out contract was for 150.00+25.00 deposit and the remainder of 1300.00 was to be paid to the delivery driver. The delivery driver's company ( which was not dependable, It was actually a company called NWAY) wanted 950.00 for the COD and did not take credit car payment. I made arrangements to get them the money within an hour of verifying I was not being double billed. The receptionist and Dependable said the 175.00 was what was charged. The next day Iooked at my credit card statement and I was billed 189.00 and 378.00 . The contract only authorized them to bill my card 175.00. The contract stated that only NY state residents pay sales tax. I am an Ohio resident. After multiple attempts to contact dependable and talk with David White Hill the owner and was never given a return call I disputed the difference between 189.00 and 175.00 (14.00) and I also disputed the 378.00 to my credit card since it was never authorized in the first place. I finally called and got in touch with the Owner Dave Whitehill. He asked if we were on a recored line and I said "no this was going to be 2 gentlemen trying to work out something"and he said we you should be. He proceeded to MF me more than anyone had ever done in my life he called me a "deadbeat faggot"also. Then he hung up on me. I attempted to call back but he had left. I called again and was trying to talk to someone about the remaining balance I was going to pay. ( I don't think I should owe it because their service was the same I would get from any other company on the internet. I had multiple quotes on this move but went with one 360.00 more because of the promise of using their own drivers. Moral of the story is just use anyone on the net who seems decent at the lowest price because unless it is a 2600.00 move by a white glove company they are all the same. Our driver was from the national load dispatching pool and he was a good guy.

I broke down on the souther tier express way (I-86) today with my company vehicle. Southern Tier…read moreTowing answered the phone right away and was very quick to respond. I was given a quote over the phone for 75 dollars to tow the vehicle from where I was on 86 to a local Ford dealer in Jamestown, NY. When the tow operator arrived I was politely greeted and handed a business card. The operator and an assistant (Aaron) quickly loaded my vehicle and we were on our way. I don't recall the operators name however the card he handed me said Henry (owner/operator). The ride to the dealer was pleasant and the operators were very nice. Overall a very pleasurable experience. The entire way what I believe is Henry was quite helpful stating he has an "account" with the Ford dealership which supposedly meant I didn't have to pay him at all. They will apply the tow fees to my bill at the Ford dealership. That was great news considering I didn't have any cash on hand. Not once was I ever told anything which implied an additional charge for adding this to my bill at Ford. Once the vehicle was diagnosed at Ford they provided me a verbal estimate. I spoke with them about the breakdown and inquired how what he is telling me didn't make any sense considering I was quoted 75 dollars for the tow. The Ford employee told me he is showing the tow as 100 dollars. I didn't pay any attention to this as I wanted the repair done so I could continue my 1.5 hour trip home. After the repair was over and the bill was paid I drove home. Upon getting home I see the dealer in fact did not charge me the quoted 75 dollars for the tow........They didn't charge me the 100 dollars the technician verbally told me.......They charged me 130 dollars!!??!! I don't know how my 75 dollar tow ended up being 130 dollars. I know the dealer ultimately is the one who charged this to me but shame on Southern Tier Towing for either "being in" on this scam or allowing to be partnered up with a car dealership repair shop knowing they gouge their customers as much as they do. Southern Tier towing did sneak a pretty cool key chain onto my keys without me knowing but I don't it too cool if you really thing about it I paid a lot of money for that key chain............ 130 dollars charged on my credit card -75 dollars quoted over the phone for the tow 55 dollars............... Guess that is how much I am paying for a key chain I didn't know I had until I got home and took they keys out of the ignition.
