Don't do it! Classic chop shop. Not a nice experience or place at all. No frills and not a good thing. If you ask nicely to please polish your whole nail bed they refuse to do your nails ever again. I was even handed a nail file to do it myself. Thats why I come here, for you to do. I went in for a basic pedicure and she made some tale about being busy for an hour. I said I'll wait a bit. Then I said I'll come back in 55 mins. She further lied and said oh we have appointments, and then we close. She could have been honest. She could have tried too. All based on one time a long time ago when their manicurist did terrible at polishing There are plenty of nice nail salons that know how to polish nails professionally. I don't think polishing nails is complete when all sides around and too bare your natural nail bed. read more

I love this place. I've gone back and forth between different places but I'm glad that I found this spot. When I go either week days or weekends, it's never crowded. I always make an appointment but I get seated right away right when I arrive. I usually get my nails done coffin style and they always do a great job. I have trouble finding a place that can do this successfully. I would recommend getting coffin over square at this place. I recently got French tip acrylics done a few weeks ago for my wedding and I did not like the way they turned out. They are uneven and the tip is too wide. They are not horrible, but I think they could definitely have been better if more time was spent on them. I would recommend this place 100%. There is plenty of parking as well and it's in a shopping center with a Ralph's. read more

Had to argue with the woman multiple times with her accusing me that I was at the wrong place. I told her it was SNS dip and she jimmy rigged the nail back on and didn't a horrible job repainting. I just moved into the area and I yelped so many nail salons for weeks and I decided on this one. I'm very picky and not as trusting with trying to find a new nail tech. Most of the reviews seem good and this was the only place that had a decent price ($40) for a French Ombré. Heidi helped me and was the most friendly but all the other girls were nice too. She's big on customer service and knows there's a lot of nail salon competition on 17th St. one reason she said she tries to keep the prices as low as she can. I gave four stars because the only thing that didn't get done was cutting my cuticles. I don't know if it's included or not but I did make an appointment 45 mins before they closed so I can understand I was their last customer. Overall the place was clean, friendly, and it seems they had clients for 10+ years. I like that personable feeling. I'm definitely coming back but I'll make an appointment days ahead so there's enough time but Heidi was a joy to meet! I would say take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. Located on E.17th right across the street from Plum's Cafe, her's was the only nail shop that happened to be open past 6:00pm. Since I'm a working girl - so to speak - you cannot beat this convenience! (Note: What is up with all these posh nail salons closing at 6:00pm? I mean, us girls who actually have day jobs also wanna get our nails done before the weekend!) Anyway, the color was my own - OPI's "Vodka & Caviar" - and I was on a tight schedule. I had exactly 30 minutes to get both my nails done and bangs trimmed across the street at Salon Rouge, and guess who came through on the nail portion, big time?! My nail technician expertly worked her magic and gave me one of the best hand massages ever! For being rushed, I was so very impressed with how relaxing this was. In exactly 17 minutes and $9 (not including tip) later, I was on my way with my freshly polished red nails. Overall, Kacie's is no posh nail salon by far. But she's clean, spacious, has all the essentials, enjoys a great location on E.17th Street, and is open until 7:00pm on week nights! You cannot beat this! Prices aren't bad either! Be careful as they also don't wash up there hands in between clients Thus your risk of infection is high! The spa chairs I would avoid at all costs as I watched them wipe them dry but not disinfect or clean them either! You can tell the place is dirty and unkempt immediately you walk in! Wow! I have never been so impressed with a nail salon. I've been to many many different nail stops, some really good, some really bad. I will be back!!!!! Yvonne did my manicure and Tracy did my pedicure. Both did a fantastic job at actually cutting my nails short when I asked them to. They also deep cleaned and perfected my cuticles. It has been 3 months since I last got my nails done so just imagine how disgusting they'll be. I mean I did cut my nails and applied nail polish but nothing beats getting it done professionally. The place that I normally go to is closed on a Sunday or is still closed due to the pandemic so I had to look around and found this place and I am very grateful that I did as it is a hidden gem. I can't believe I've been going to the big Ralph's for about 5 years now to do my grocery but didn't know about this place. This place is clean and the service is affordable. I called to get a reservation on the same day to which I believe I only got lucky. A lot of regulars are there too when I got my nails done and the reason I knew they were regulars was because the owner knew them. Both the regulars and nail techs are giving out good vibes which made this place a lot more colorful. I've never been this happy and satisfied getting my nails done. May May (Mei Mei) did a great job. I will surely go back. I admit, I was a bit skeptical at first because of the bad reviews dated in 2014 to 2017 but that was definitely a thing in the past because 2020 is definitely different.
