Seating is ample, and it had a nice atmosphere but the mix of pop music with Indian music was a bit strange. Service was nice but it took a long time to get our food, but once the dishes were delivered they were presented nicely and had amazing taste. The spice level was higher than what "mild" is typically but I loved it and so did our kids. We just needed more water to tone down the heat. Great food - with slow service but it is worth the wait.

We ordered the following items for delivery through Ubereats, to respond to our Samosa Chaat…read morecravings. # Samosa chaat : Unfortunately, it was disappointing. What I look for in Samosa Chaat is the different textures. Samosa's edges were completely soaked in overly sweet sauce, and there was not rispy fresh veggies and Sev (small pieces of deep fried Indian noodles). As a result, the texture was mono-tone, and too sweet to my liking. There was no hint of sourness (like from yogurt or citrus). There are different variations in Samosa Chaat, and people's preferences are diverse. Just that this place's Samosa Chaat was not impressing to me. # Butter chicken: It was spicy, there were a lot of tender chicken breast pieces with a nice hint of charcoal - which is great! But the sauce was too sweet to me, and it kind of interfered with my enjoyment of the spices/heat. # Naan: I felt they were dry and flat, and lacked flavor. # Samosa: I liked the potato and dough balance, and the texture of the dough. The main issue that I personally had was the level of sweetness in some of the items. They just did not hit my preferred balance of spice & sweet & tanginess.

I created an order that sampled many of the dishes and they were all fantastic examples of traditional dishes. I particularly enjoyed the extra hint of spice each dish carried with it. Spices that, as a white Canadian, I'm not familiar with. The spices really gave me pause and I found myself smiling and saying out loud "what is that?" And that should be one of the results of great cuisine from traditions other than your own. The dishes that I found most enjoyable were the mutter paneer, the butter chicken and the very spicy pepper beef.

Decent sauces, with flavours that will satisfy those odd Indian-food-hankerings when they strike (or does nobody else have those? Ah well). As so often happens, the "mixed vegetable" dishes are made with that value frozen peas-carrots-corn mix, but the price reflects that, so no qualms here. Takeout is about a 10-15 minute wait during dinner. No minds blown, but a solid choice regardless. Might be back if seeking quick takeout or buffet.

Our order wasn't ready when we showed up at the time the told us, no worries because it means everything's likely fresh and still being cooked. The food was worth the wait and everything was delicious, the only negative was the pakoras were very salty on the outside, once you bit into it the flavour was perfect, they could really skip sprinkling any extra salt on the outside. Nothing was overly spicy. The chicken pieces were well cooked, large white meat pieces. Our favourites were the chicken tikka, the green chicken in the triple chicken dish, and the vegetarian dishes we ordered I will definitely return here for my next Indian feast!
