What I look for in Samosa Chaat is the different textures. Samosa's edges were completely soaked in overly sweet sauce, and there was not rispy fresh veggies and Sev (small pieces of deep fried Indian noodles). As a result, the texture was mono-tone, and too sweet to my liking. There was no hint of sourness (like from yogurt or citrus). There are different variations in Samosa Chaat, and people's preferences are diverse. Just that this place's Samosa Chaat was not impressing to me. # Butter chicken: It was spicy, there were a lot of tender chicken breast pieces with a nice hint of charcoal - which is great! But the sauce was too sweet to me, and it kind of interfered with my enjoyment of the spices/heat. # Naan: I felt they were dry and flat, and lacked flavor. # Samosa: I liked the potato and dough balance, and the texture of the dough. The main issue that I personally had was the level of sweetness in some of the items. They just did not hit my preferred balance of spice & sweet & tanginess.

We finally decided on their Chicken Tikka Momo, Reshmi Chicken Kababs, Goat Rara (Chef's Special), along with their Garlic Naan and Chilli Naan. They were all good but our clear favourite was the Goat Rara, with its rich flavour and tender texture. The owner later surprised us with a vegetarian dish, Malai Kofta Royalty. It was all very tasty! For dessert, we had their Ras Malai Remix, the perfect finish to a really good meal! I ordered the Butter Chicken Tacos and Masala Fries. If you don't like tacos, you can either make it a bowl, burrito, nachos, or poutine. The cost performance was solid. They were all reasonably priced and the tacos were bigger than I had pictured. The flavour was good with a good combination of toppings (lettuce, pico de gallo, cilantro, purple cabbage, cheese, pineapple salsa, pickled onions, pickled cucumber, and pickled thai chili) to choose from. FYI, guacamole is an additional $1. And there write about 4 different sauces to choose from and combine. The naan was a bit burnt but using that as a tacos shell was a great idea. I just wish the flavour of the butter chicken sauce was a bit stronger since the toppings overwhelmed it a bit. But that's just a tiny thing, as the dish was still great. Masala fries was made of fries tossed in masala powder with sauce on top (mint chutney, pico de gallo, etc) and the price was pretty reasonable for what you get. Would I considering visiting again? Definitely. One suggestion to the restaurant is that since the space is quite small and you can only have a couple people inside, it may be beneficial for the customer and the store to have the menu posted for those waiting in line outside the restaurant. You can technically see the menu from the outside but the reflection on the glass and the dark lighting inside makes it hard to see the menu even when its cloudy outside. My coworker and I passed by the place yesterday and thought the place was closed based on how dark the inside is.

As a Guyanese, I can say the food was very tasty. And as Pakistani peeps, they also enjoyed it and plan to return. I recommend this restaurant!
