    Bean in Kacey's

5 Stars because its worth it. We always stop at Kacey's when visiting the GRents. I love the atmosphere. Its like traveling back in time the minute you walk in. There is soon much Cocoa Cola memorabilia that you find yourself walking around the entire shop. There are 2 sides to irder from this joint. one side is dedicated to pizzas, and the other to sammiches subs and extras. I like this concept. It cuts down on a lot of time and you van have your apps before you neal comes. Or if you're like Bean, your app is your meal. the pizza skins here are so delicious. They are always our starter. I came for the pizza. My medium pizza w 3 toppings and well spent $18. The pizzas are massive and the baked in goodness just warms my heart. I've not been disappointed w a meal since I've started eating her. After our meal, we stayed a bit to play tic tac toe. Kaceys encourages family fun time! I kicked Beans butt per usual. She took me to my fan Greenwood ice cream shop Mrs. Curl. You all may know that from previous reviews. Bottom line, if you're in Whiteland head down to Kaceys.

A large pizza from Kasey's Twin Eatery

Kasey's Twin Eatery is a quaint little food spot in Whiteland, IN. We were directed here by a friendly local guy while looking at some antique gas station signs near by. The place is a small little eatery decorated in Coca Cola memorabilia. The set up is a little weird at first; you order pizza at one counter and all your other food at another counter. We ordered a large pizza with hamburger and black olives as well as 2 orders of spaghetti for the kids. The pizza was amazing; a close cousin to a Chicago style pizza with thick thick mozzarella cheese on top. The crust was perfectly browned and the tomato sauce was just right. The spaghetti was also really good. A mound of buttered spaghetti noodles complimented with a nice robust marinara sauce. Each plate came with a big tossed salad and Italian bread on the side. This was a great unexpected find while on vacation visiting the area. All my Hoosier friends and family are lucky to have this close by.

Lunch Special: Lasagna, Salad, and Bread

I wasn't too impressed, as I first time customer, but it's likely I will return for a second impression. I like the interior, although a little dim in the dining area. I wouldn't call this a typical dinner date spot. I do want this place to stay around, since it's great business for the Whiteland Community. Here's a few things I liked: Pros: Front counter gave me a large foam cup for just water! Amazing...now I didn't have to make multiple visits to the refill station. The amount of bread was generous, although a little too buttery. Interior decor was decorated well with a Coca-Cola theme. It wasn't boring, but had lots of memorabilia to look at. Cons: The Lasagna was a little bare without much of a ricotta layer. Cheese layer was spotty...not a full layer. The salad was as cheap tasting as possible: not tasty shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese. Also came in foam, like the drink. They are too foam happy. I'd rather see paper cups that can be better recycled. Why can't they use regular drinking cups that they can wash? They only accept cash, not credit/debit. I would recommend to try yourself to get your own personal opinion. Next time, I will try pizza.

The cafe is now owned by Diane, Ann's daughter. The tables are packed tightly together, but we were happy to get the last seats in the house. Nostalgic photos of Franklin cover the walls. The place is loud but with a great positive energy. People are small-town friendly and talk between tables as they enjoy their biscuits and gravy. We cajoled with two regulars who told funny stories. Our server, Gill, was quick to the table and friendly. He checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. The menu is a mix of traditional breakfast options, sandwiches, salads and wraps. Prices are reasonable. Food came out quickly. My husband ordered their hand breaded tenderloin with fries. The tenderloin was massive with a great browned breading, served on a Kaiser roll. The pork was tender and juicy. It was a perfect tenderloin, worthy of the Indiana Tenderloin Trail. The hand-cut fries are lightly breaded, crispy and hot. There was an up-charge for the fries, but they were so good and worth it. It was rainy outside, so I had a bowl of the daily soup - broccoli cheddar. The soup was hot, thick, creamy with lots of broccoli and cheese and stuck to my ribs. My soup was served with packs of saltines. Free street parking is available if you're lucky to grab a spot. Well worth the drive to Franklin. Ps. They are closed Saturday and Sunday!

The service wasn't quite as great on my last visit, but I guess everyone is allowed a one off day. I had the rock shrimp, which is definitely one of my favorites here. The sink salad is always a winner also. The gumbo with shrimp actually had a bit of a bite to it, which was a pleasant surprise since most dishes in the mid-west are prepared bland even if they are supposed to have some spice. Highly recommend this dish... unless you like bland foods. I tried the churros creme brulee, which in my mind is two desserts in one. You have your little churros on top and then a good sized serving of creme brulee... and a truly great creme brulee at that... kudos

And he said the menu will expand again soon. Since I was by myself and he had some time, he sat down and we chatted for awhile. The seating at both restaurants, and you can call them that now since they do not just sell drinks anymore, has been greatly expanded both indoors and outside. He also told me they are working on opening a Plainfield location. I ordered my usual The Slugger on a biscuit for my bread choice (4) with sausage for my meat choice (3) and provolone for my cheese choice (5).
